Hi everyone. Hope I can get a solution for this frustrating problem I have. First, my setup is 1) Samsung TV, 2) Bell Fibe STB, 3) Yamaha AVR and 4) 2019 Shield TV pro. Several years ago I purchased a gen 1 Flirc USB which at the time I was using a Chromebox with Kodi on it and worked flawlessly with my Harmony One remote. Fast forward to today and that Chromebox has been replaced with the Shield. I've set it up just fine except for one small problem. When using my STB remote key presses will be picked up by the Flirc and wake up my Shield or launch apps if already awake. Hello, I am pretty new to lirc and htpc stuff. I build a htpc with a asrock x570 phantom itx tb3, ryzen 4350g, streamcom F7C, streamcom nano160 psu and flirc-se (hard to find but streacom sent me one). I use manjaro xfce as base, plus kodi with mpv as player. I tried today to make my remote to work. First when i start flirc guy in xfce it asked to update to latest firmware. I did it and then i map my buttons, including the power button of my remote under the "streamcom" tab. Hello! I use Flirc v2 together with a Logitech Harmony One+ on Debian Buster (10.4) and MythTV. On the Flirc I have selected a full keyboard layout. The problem is that I need to press every remote button twice for the command to work. Before I bought a Flirc I used ir-keytable and did not experience this problem. I am having the same double-press issue as a lot of other users as well. I am not using Harmony, but an old XBox 360 controller to control my own HTPC software. It just sends Ctrl-button presses to my program (Ctrl-Up, Ctrl-Down, Ctrl-A, etc.) to run the GUI. For example when I have a menu up in my program and I press the down button on the remote, it moves the menu down twice, I.E. it sends two Ctrl-Down button presses (using keyboard's Ctrl-Down works fine so it is not my program, also, I have my other Flirc configured to use my LG UHD Bluray player's remote and it works fine, so the issue has to do with Flirc and the XBox 360 remote). Hello, I discovered Flirc few days ago and I'm not sure that it can do what I'm looking for ... In the product description (New hardware feature), I can read that there is an IR transmitter; is that correct ? Presently the only way I can figure out to send a 'media stop' command is to issue an HID command through the command line: flirc_util.exe record_api 183 102 The problem is that this command does not persist when I load a config, make a change and save it again. Is there a way to set or save this via the UI so I can store it as part of the config?

Regarding controlling the Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 with FLIRC USB / IR codes. Is there a specific Android IR remote that the FLIRC will recognize out of the box for basic control of the Shield 2019?

I would like to use a standard Android IR remote control with the Nvidia Shield 2019 Pro (which is bluetooth remote only out of the box). What is the process to do this? Once you plug in FLIRC USB, how do you verify the FLIRC device is working from the Shield Setting page? Is there any other setup involved, or is it plug and play and it will automatically recognize a standard android box IR remote?

I have 3 systems, each with a USB Flirc from several years ago. On one system there is a Toshiba TV, a MythTV client (with a Flirc), and a few other devices all controlled by a Harmony 650 remote. The 650 will wake up my Flirc / MythTV box just like it's supposed to but I was finding that turning on one of the other devices would also wake my Flirc / MythTV box. After some trial and error testing and diagnostics I found that the powering on of the Toshiba TV (which is used by all of the other devices) would not only power up the selected device but also the Flirc / MythTV box. Hi. I have been using Flirc 2nd with my LG tv and my cable tv provider that uses an bluetooth comand without any problem. But, I sold my LG tv and bought a Samsung Crystal TU7105, and now flirc is not working anymore. I can still control my tvbox with an bluetooth keyboard. And I did remaped all keys on Flirc for the new Samsung remote and Flirc app detect all keys on the remote when I recorded them. But when I try to use the Flirc usb with my tv cable box, it does not work. Only the channel up and down is working with this new remote, and I need all the numbers to work as well, because I use them with Alex to change the channels on my tv cable box. D…

My question is: If I get a FLIRC will I be able to use an apple remote with it to control some simple media keys on my PC? Why use an apple remote? Because it looks decent and actually isn't too pricey, also it will cover the keys I'm interested in (play/pause, volume up/down, next track/last track). Cheers, Paul

Hello, I recently bought a FireTV Cube and the plan was to control it with my Harmony 665. I had read on the web about the Flirc workaround to the native BT protocol used by the Cube remote and remembered that I have a Flirc G2 bought in 2017 still in the box for lack of an application. Plugged it in my Windows 8.1 and downloaded the GUI to program it. It first went on to upgrade the firmware to 4.9.3 (BTW, you may want to revisit the approach of popping up a message box with all the changes in the new firmware. Tring to use my original gen 1 flirc receiver on windows 10, but the setup files have no driver with them. After searching the internet for them, I am not finding anything. Is there an old installer or something else I can do about this problem.

with debugging log open i can see the pattern coming in but if i then press key on keyboard after its been recorded on flirc gui no pattern is shown as outgoing on the log..should i see the pattern on the log for outgoing? as it doesnt turn on my tv when i press the keyboard key

Hi, I have an original FLIRC that I have updated to the latest firmware and works great when directly hitting it with my windows MCE remote. When I go through my Xantech repeater, I get about 95% failure rate. Like 1 press goes through every 20 presses. All other devices like receiver and cable box all work. I found the other thread that suggested electrical tape on it, which did not help and no presses worked then. Unsure what to try next.
