Hi, I just received a new FLIRC (the new model). I'm running FW 4.05 and GUI 2.0.1 on a Asrock Z77 Pro4 (Windows 7) I'm having two problems: firstly, I can't get the FLIRC to wake the computer. I've tried enabling and disabling "Wake from USB mouse/kb" in the MB BIOS. I've also tried selecting (and deselecting) all of the "Allow device to wake from sleep" check boxes in device manager to no effect. What is weird is that my computer wakes up from sleep fine using a logitech diNovo edge bluetooth keyboard, but nothing happens through FLIRC. I have a new Flirc that I'm trying to program on my Windows 10 laptop. The UI and CLI are both able to connect to the device and the firmware on the device has been updated to the latest. When I try to record a key it does not register, it just keeps asking me to press the key. I know the flirc is correctly receiving IR signals from the remote because the UI displays keypresses on some of the default mappings, and the laptop responds to keypresses (mute, home, etc) when there are no other IR receivers connected. Hi - Sorry about the totally n00b questions. I just found out about the Flirc today, and I am researching if it will work for me. I just purchased an Nvidia Shield 2017. I am looking for a way to control it with my incredibly versatile IR remote (a Philips TSU-9600). Someone in the Nvidia forums suggested that I can use the Flirc USB device, but I'm not totally sure if it is a good match for me - It could work fine, or be overkill for my needs. Does the Flirc need to get configured to work with the Nvidia Shield? I saw Windows/Mac/Linux Flirc application instructions. Hey all, I'm really keen to unlock more buttons that can be used on the firestick 4k. I have a harmony elite controller + hub, the default map with the harmony is just the basic remote that comes with the firestick. If I get a flirc (using it with an OTG cable) can I program it to then allow more key events/maps? I'm trying to use this with an IPTV app (tivimate and iMplayer) which has keys that cannot be mapped with just the standard firestick remote as there simply isn't enough if I want full functionality of the available commands. Help!

Anybody know how to map the red, green, yellow, blue, guide and info buttons to work with android TV. Android has specific Keycodes for these buttons but I can't seem to get them to work. I found an article on here regarding usb hid codes that help me get ch+/ch- and record to work but I can't seem to get those others to work. I wish there was a more complete android remote profile in the flirc software.

Just recently I bought a FLIRC v2 dongle in order to be able to wake up my PC. Initially I thought that all is fine and my remote can wake up the PC but in the last couple of days I noticed that the PC randomly wakes up (even with nobody at home, so no IR remote in use at all). What could be the reason for that? I also noticed that unplugging the dongle while the PC is in sleep state also wakes up the PC. Is that an expected behaviour? How can I find out the root cause of the problem? Thanks, Bernd

Hello, I use FLIRC on my HTPC with a Harmony Smart Control remote (and the FLIRC/KODI profile). It used to work perfectly, but ever since I updated the firmware to 3.9 today, FLIRC only receives 1 out of 2 IR blasts for most commands, which sucks. For these commands I have now to push twice on my remote to get 1 blast received by the HTPC. Can something be done about this? If not, can I revert back to a previous firmware easily? I've down loaded flirc.latest.x86_64.tar.gz and I've installed the needed Dependencies. The instructions say to cp the 99-flirc.rules rules to /etc/udev/rules.d/ , where are the 99-flirc.rules? Then is says to optionally copy flirc_util and flirc to /usr/local/bin/. Why is this an option? After this is done then what?

Harmony One is working well with Flirc and Amazon Fire TV EXCEPT that I cannot get the Fire TV "Mouse Toggle" app to work. I have tried numerous methods including creating and using a "Sequence" on the Harmony to double click the Play/Pause button. Any ideas on how to get this to work? Thanks much!

Greetings 1) I have installed both the hardware and software on my PC. Flirc Software looks fine and it tells me its recording. But the on/off function, although recorded, does not work. 2) The selection of controllers are very limiting. My spare one doesn't match. Any ideas? Regards

Hi, I am interested in getting flirc usb v2. I want to program my remote for kodi with MPC-HC as external video player. From What I seem on the internet the keyboard mapping software does not display full keyboard keys. I want to able to program in my remote control with these keyboard keys:Num 1,Num 4, Num 5, Num 6, Num 8, Num 9 they get activated when you press num lock on the keyboard. Recently my Flirc USB keeps selecting the left cursor for no reason. I have it plugged into the front USB (there are two and I have tried them both) on my PC and I use a Logitech Harmony Elite to control everything. I uninstalled the application and reinstalled again, but still no joy. It al seems fine, but as soon as I go into any applications the cursor keeps moving left, which makes typing anything nigh on impossible. My only solution currently is to have it unplugged, which is a waste of the money I spent on it. Any suggestions?

Hi noob here with a very specific question: Devices: Lenovo Tiny, FLIRC, Logitech Harmony Companion. The Lenovo pc will power on with key combination ALT + P if the FLIRC receives this combination while in the USB port that are able to start the pc like this. How do it set it up? Harmony, how to create some key comb that does ALT + P and how to set up flirc to listen to this ALT + P and execute it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction in advance :)

Hi, I run flirc on debian with an harmony remote, but Flirc does run only one on two events. I used a macbook to program the Flirc with the latest app. By the way, it tells me there is a new version, but if i update, i still have 3.0.29 instead of 3.1.0. If i download the 3.1.0 from the website and install it, it's still a 3.0.29 version. My harmony remote is set to sent maximum events. In the Flirc Windows 10 software, I configure the buttons with a Kodi layout. Then in the Windows 10 MyHarmony software, I first tried configuring it with "Manufacturer: Flirc" and "Device Model Number: Shield TV" - as it says in the Flirc guide, but that gave me extremely limited button usage when connected to the Shield.
