Windows7, flirc firmware v3.0, just received today. Periodically flirc device starts sending same key over and over again. It is espesially nice when it is something bound to "standby" so the laptop wakes up and sleeps immediately after that. Any idea how to fix that? Thanks. Also it does not wake windows7. I enabled "enable waking up from this device" but it did not have any effect. Ideas? Thanks again :-) Ultimately raw device, cannot be recommended at all :-( And its compatibility with Logitech harmony 300 is horrible too (but harmony itself is horrible too).

hi, I have flirc for more than a year now (using version 0.96 at win7) connects to my TV IR remote without any problems. lately, about a month ago, I had random scrolling and clicking which at first I though has to be a keyboard/mice bug. after multiple checks I discovered the problem caused by flirc. I upgraded flirc to the latest version and the problem continues. THANKS!

Remote harmony 650 flirc 1.2.6 It says firmware is -16.-16 and cannot force an update (program hangs) Flirc device in harmony is samsung LN46C I had flirc and my remote setup for months working fine but i got a new TV and now the buttons that are typicly unassigned (guide page up/down skip etc) are not working and I cannot seem to bind them or any keys for that matter in flirc. In flirc I click a key (page up) and it say press button to be paired. I press a button on the remote and nothing happens. When I press any pre-bound keys on my remote (up down ok) they turn green in flirc. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I just received my Flirc and installed Flirc GUI on my win 7 (64 bit) just fine. Flirc showed up on my device manager as "Flirc" and the GUI worked. Before using it for the first time, I decided to update the firmware and got a blue screen (bad pool header) instead. Since then Flirc shows up as "bootldr" on my device manager. I tried to manually reinstall the drivers using windows and tried the zadig utility but I still get blue screen whenever I try to run Flirc GUI. I did a system restore and reinstalled Flirc GUI. Flirc now shows up as "Flirc" on my device manager and the driver reads, "libusK (v.3.0.6.0)" on zadig but I still get blue screen whenever I try t…

My flirc currently misses the bulk of the signals, and even when it picks them up, it will be after a delay. I'm on the latest firmware, 2.6.

So I have a Harmony One remote with my Fire TV. It was working perfectly with Flirc until I decided to update my Fire TV software with Flirc plugged in. After the update, my Harmony One is not communicating with my Fire TV. I assumed maybe Amazon blocked it, so I swapped to my 2nd Fire TV which had an older software version. Still nothing, my Harmony One does nothing. Has anyone else run into this issue? Is my Flirc bricked for good or is there some procedure to recover it? Thanks in advance!

I experienced an issue with erasing and recording the Volume Up/Down buttons for XBMC using a Logitech Harmony Smart. Flirc would not record the "+" key for me for VolUp. I managed to solve this by changing from my Swedish keyboard layout to the US layout which is pictured in the Flirc GUI. With the Swedish layout the Flirc GUI would not recognize key presses of "+" key, even though the recording was "successful". Needless to say this mandatory use of the US layout needs to be fixed for foreign users as I now have to be switching between Swedish/US layouts if I want to use other programs than XBMC on my HTPC. Also I do not understand why the GUI keyboard layout is wit…

I received my first FLIRC device today and everything seemed to work as planned. After following the guidance on the website I tried the firmware upgrade as the dongle was not recognising some of the button presses from the remote I was planning on using. After the firmware upgrade (performed via the GUI) it no longer recognises any of my remotes! I have tried to "re-flash" the firmware countless times on both my Linux PC and in Windows 7 - unfortunately no luck. using flirc_util here is what I get: flirc_util status: "Last upgrade attempt: Error" flirc_util version: "flirc_util version v1.2.6 [v1.2.6] Firmware: v2.6" Oddly the GUI firmware upgrade seems…

Hi, i have purchased flirc to use my panasonic vt60 remote to control XBMC but since i get it i only have problems. After upgrading to last firmware and programing (flirc detects the signal remote for programming without any issue) when trying to use it on xbmc its really buggy. sometimes does not react and others its like I'm continually pressing down but really not. If i use a Logitech remote keyboard everything in xbmc works perfectly (not with flirc, with the logitech unify receiver) I have recorded a video to show this: This is my config file Thanks flirc_config.fcfg

Hi. I have set the Flirc/XMBC profile to my Harmony remote. Every is find except the numeric keypad. You can simply test it selecting the XMBC layout on Flirc GUI and trying all numeric buttons of your remote. For example button 1 from remote is mapping to button 7... And as builtin profile I suppose, the Flirc software refuse to over map numeric keys. Any idea ? Cheers.

Hi, since I installed FW 2.6 the flirc usb stick is going continuously on / off. Remarkable thing is that in the Win Hardware Manager (Geräte Manager in German) flirc is rocked stable but the flirc application 1.2.6 is continuously connecting and disconnecting ... so I cannot use it anymore. Please provide a rollback either to 1.2.5 or FW 2.5. Thanks Very strange ... used another PC installed FW again. Back to Media PC de-installed flirc .. installed it again. So far so good.

Hi there, Just received my flirc and when I tried to set it up with my tv remote I found a weird bug that makes it unusable. Actually, there are some keys shown on the flirc gui which are unmappable, for exemple when I try to link the "1" button of my remote with the "1" button on flirc gui, it becomes linked to the "7" button. And then whenever I press the 1 button on my remote, the 7 button on flirc gui becomes green. None of the number is working (1 linked to 7, 5 linked to 9, 8 linked to 1, others linked to nothing) neither are the volume down (linked to 0) and volume up (linked to volume down). I tried 3 different remotes and I always get the same result…

I just got my flirc and it came with firmware 2.0. My remote is the Harmony Ultimate and while I could record my remote buttons I was having trouble as it seemed the direction arrow up and direction arrow right were sending the same command. I upgraded my flirc firmware to 2.4 and cleared the configuration to start again and now I cannot record any remote commands at all. Can I revert to an earlier firmware?

Hi all, today I upgraded the FLIRC firmware from a very old v1.0 to the latest v2.4. The very old FW worked fine paired with an Onkyo Remote for being used with XBMC. I upgraded it because I was thinking that maybe I can wakeup my PC from S1 state (shutdown) with a new FW, since the old is not working (other wireless 2.4GHz keyboards are able to power up the PC with any key). The new FW behaves the same, no way to wakeup from shutdown (the AsRock FM2A88M+ Extreme4+ is a very new motherboard). But now I have another problem: FLIRC does not repeat anymore the remote's keys pressed continuously like arrows down/up, volume up/down and so on. This is quite annoying. …

Hello. I finally got my Flirc yesterday, it was easy to setup and worked pretty decently. Yay much excite! A few hours later I kept getting infinite key presses. I tried remapping (separately) the keys with both a panasonic and samsung remote (2012) neither worked. I read on the forums that a forced firmware update could fix this, so I tried that. Now it seems to record key presses (only when i hit go on the simple remote). When I got to use the remote nothing happens. When i try to map keys again i get some kind of key already mapped error. Now its not picking up anything. I've tried everything I can think of, please help. :(

After unplugging the working FLIRC once and plugging it in again it stopped working. The GUI of v1.2.2 switches between: "Could not upgrade firmware. Contact support." and "Bootloader detected." Also there is a line saying: "Bootloader v-16.-16". It is not possible to "Force FW Upgrade" under "Advanced".

Hi All, Although I've been a long time user, this is actually my first post, which is proof my flirc has worked very well for a long time :-) So my issue is that from time to time, the flirc loses the configuration on shutdown/startup so I have to unplug it, go to my windows machine (I'm using it in an OpenElec media center), re-program it and plug it back to my media center. This issue has happened more and more frequently lately, up to the point in which it barely lasts a couple of reboots. Is it possible flirc has died? How could I check?

My flirc has been acting up. I'm using a Phillips universal learning remote on a Win7 64bit machine. When I first set it up a few weeks, worked like I expected. Recently, I wanted to redo some keys. I could ERASE the old remote keys. It would say it erased the key, but the keyboard function still works when I press the remote button. And the the right arrow button stopped working for some reason. The right button on the remote no longer activated the right arrow button from Flirc. Should do a clean slate and retrain it? Edit: using the latest firmware as of 3-16-2014. This is the remote. http://www.usa.philips.com/content/B2C/en_US/product-catalog…

Hi, I have a Harmony remote, which has two keys mapped to WinKey+Alt+Enter (Windows Media Center Start/Home) I have tried deleting the combination using Erase in the GUI and the delete command from the CommandLine, Both methods report they succeeded, however the mapping does mot get deleted. Attached is the config file if that is of any use. Using the Samsung Romote profile on a Harmony 885, under Windows 7 Firmware version 153 For the time being I'll just just format the device. ........ Just tested the offending Key combo again after formatting and it deleted it fine this time, so maybe there is something in the coinfig file that may be useful for you. …

I am using flirc with my nexus 7(2012) in my car install. Problem is that it works perfectly for less than a week and then it stops(tablet is showing it as bootldr claylogic.com device). So i have to take it from my car and put it in my desktop pc and start the flirc software. The software automatically detects the bootloader and start fixing the device. Now it is ready to use again with my tablet for the next few days until same thing happens again. I have to mention that my usb devices are connected to my tablet with a powered usb hub that takes power from cigarrete lighter. All other devices works perfectly, but flirc is getting corrupted very often.

Hello, I have a few problems with my FLIRC, using the GUI 1.2.2 on Win 7 x86_64: Whenever I start the GUI, I see "Disconnected" in the status. If I unplug and replug the FLIRC in a USB port that was not used in the past for it, the driver installs and it get recognized by the GUI. When recognized, I can (could, since I used all my USB ports in the meantime...) define key mapping using the GUI. I tried to update the firmware using the "Advanced>Force FW Update" menu, but this caused the GUI to hang each time (after it discovered a new version and I clicked to proceed). Even if the GUI does not recognize the FLIRC, it appears in the Device manager Zadig indicates th…

There seems to be a few issues in regards to input management for the remote. B1,B2 here are 2 different keys on the remote. 1. press B1 2. after releasing B1 press B2 in fast succession. This results in B2 being ignored (blocking for keyrepeat?). Here it should detect a switch between 2 keys and not be blocking. 1. Press B1 2. release B1 for 0.5 seconds 3. Press B1 This results in B1 the same as above. This is usually an issue when manually scrolling in a list by clicking multiple times.. The correct procedure for handeling this would be: 1. detect signal. 2. decode signal for B1. 3. detect that no signal is present for 100ms (should be configurable for…

Previously I used Flirc v 1.2.2 which installed with FW v-16.-1 bottom left corner. when I tried force upgrade it said v 2.3 was available but crashed every time I tried to upgrade. I redownloaded the exe and reinstalled, and it showed FW v2.3 bottom left corner. Then today it has somehow reverted back to v-16.-1 and nothing works. The dongle does not see remote clicks, and I cannot erase learned commands, so I redownloaded the exe and installed but no joy. It would be nice if I could just download the latest FW, but it seems to be either unavailable or too hard to find. There must be some way to fix this, I really don't want to clear the config because It's almost t…
