Hi Upgraded to v2.2 (from some of the newer RCs on the forum), and now my Flirc doesn't respond to keypresses sent by my Harmony remote (with the Flirc XBMC profile) unless I first send a command which is taught in the Flirc (using some Samsung TV for additional commands since the XBMC profile is so limited). So, if I only send commands which are part of the builtin profile, it never works.

Hello, I encounter an issue with 2.2 firmware. It doesn't work with my raspberry with raspbmc (I use a Harmny 550 remote). I succeed to revert to 2.1 firmware and it's working again (only the "next audio" feature doesn't work). Is this issues already detected ? How can I help you to correct it ? Regards, Zidera

Hi! I was playing around latest flirc_util for linux on ubuntu 13.10 and it is very buggy. For example DFU kick out is not reliable at all. Also it is not possible to delete already recorded button: For example: flirc_util delete backspace The Next button pressed will be deleted, please press a button [E] fl_ver2_set_interrupt(576): Error: key not found Also for recording it says recorded sucessfully but in reality nothing gets recorded. On mac gui version it works so it is not Flirc problem. The feature that would be nice in flirc_util (besides removal of bugs) would be an option to manually delete recorded button. For example 'flirc_util keys' g…

I'm using Windows Media Center on Windows 7, FLIRC Firmware v2.1, FLIRC GUI v1.1.5 and Harmony 885. I have the following problem: In Windows Media Center the keys for back (CTRL-B) and forward (CTRL-F) are not working while viewing a record. When I'm in the program guide the buttons working well, so I'm sure that the buttons are configured correctly. Pushing CTRL-B or CTRL-F on a "normal" keyboard while viewing a record is working well. Any idea how to solve this problem? By the way: The stop button (CTRL-SHIFT-S) is working while viewing a record!

The Flirc is randomly disconnecting from my system, a short while later it will reconnect and work as expected. I've tried reflashing. I'm running Windows 7 x64, GUI v1.0.0-rc.4 and Firmware 1.1.0-rc.2. Any thoughts?

Soon as my flirc arrived I installed the flirc software on the pc (Windows 7) and opened the program but it kept switching between connected and disconected. After searching the forum I found this topic I connected to another computer and still happened the same thing. Afterwards I tried to update the firmware as suggested. Now the device is recognized as in DFU mode but it doesn't upgrade and shows this message "Could not upgrade firmware . Contact support. " Hope you guys can help me :)

I just got my flirc yesterday and programmed it fine, but I noticed long key presses didn't work, so I attempted to install the latest firmware. While updating, the flirc program crashed and now it will not work and says "please connect flirc". I have verified the driver is still working, and have installed flirc on another computer to no avail. I have tried to upgrade the firmware again to a stable release but it will not let me as the program doesn't think flirc is connected. Is there anything I can do to fix it? :( Thank you for your time!

Am noticing strange behaviour for the firs time. Flirc works very well system wide for me on the mac. However, when I use it with vimeo's couch mode http://www.vimeo.com/couchmode, there is a considerable lag and almost unusable. If I use the keyboard, it works fine. Strange. Have tried this with safari, chrome and firefox all with the same result

Setting up my new Flirc with a Harmony 900 remote worked fine, especially after reading the Harmony sticky thread. But I consistently and reproducibly experience the problem that apparently Flirc emits multiple key events for a single key press on the remote. Example: pressing 1 on the remote results in three to five 1 appearing on the screen (terminal, editor, etc) and of course also in XBMC. I also observe a very short delay between the first (desired) event and the subsequent (superfluous) events. Setting the interkey_delay to 0 results in exactly three events (two superfluous) occurring while setting it to 7 results in exactly five events (four superfluous). Ag…

Hi; On Windows 8.1, I cannot update interkey delay using flirc_util or the GUI. Luckily I programmed everything I needed before I upgraded but now I have sticky keys and it's a nightmare. Running flirc_util thru an administrator command prompt I receive: C:\Program Files (x86)\flirc>flirc_util.exe interkey_delay 4 Warning: cannot open USB deviceusb transfer failed, error code[-99] Other error usb transfer failed, error code[-99] Other error usb transfer failed, error code[-99] Other error failed to update settings Using the GUI makes no difference; no settings are sticking. I got my FLIRC today, and after playing around with it for some time, I have to say I am very disappointed. Key presses are often not detected, I'd say, about 1 of 5 are ignored. This is my setup: FLIRC with Firmware v1 RPi with latest XBMC (OpeneELEC 3.2.0) Harmony 700 Any idea how to fix this? -- Edit: I just updated to the latest Firmware-rc and chose the FLIRC device from within the Harmony database. Problems are completely gone. FYI, before these changes I trained the FLIRC with my old WD TV Live Remote, so this seems to cause the trouble described above.

Hi, I tried to program a Windows MCE remote. After learning i.e. button up, I noticed that only every second remote button press was recognized as UP. So I programmed the button again. That did the trick. I then changed to flirc_utility and did a format command. Then I recorded UP with the command utility and listed the result via KEYS command. It says HASH B47CA919 up. Then I recorded same button UP again and did another listing. No there are 2 commands: B47CA919 up F3B14639 up Same remote, same button, two hashes. I think that is the reason for my initial problem that only every second button press worked. But is this a normal bevahiour? Why are there 2…

Hello all, I just downloaded and installed the new GUI on a Windows 64-bit machine. Flirc opens, updates firmware, button presses work great. I then plugged the Flirc into its eventual home, running XBMCbuntu (Lubuntu 12.10). When I run the Linux version of the Flirc software (also the newest GUI installed), it tells me the device is disconnected. If I try to connect via the CLI, I get a constantly repeated message of "Warning: Cannot connect to USB device". If I lsusb, I can see the device (comes up as Clay Logic? that's the only device other than the mouse and keyboard plugged in). The Flirc has always been more difficult to wrangle on the Linux box…

Received my Flirc a couple of days ago. At first I had troubles assigning keys, switched from .96 to .95 version. But had issues. Then I saved one config and when tried to restore it, my Flirc stopped responding. I had to use my old PC with Win XP, attached Flirc, it appeared only for a second. I tried to catch that moment and clear the config, then moved to Win 7 and it worked. Sometimes I have to assigned keys a few times in a row. The product is untested and that's a fact. Hope you guys will work out some kind of solution. Also mute button for XBMC doesn't work, as well as power button. No skip chapter button and I had to assign C key for context. menu.

I configured flirc just the way I like it and every time I restart the computer it forgets everything. Even if I try reloading the config file it doesn't work. This is only the case on one of my computers, both running Windows 7. I am attaching my config file in case that helps. Any info would be great! Thanks! Harmony Website Flirc Settings.fcfg

If I'm going down (or up) through a directory in XBMC, and I'm pressing down (or up) repeatedly, it will all of a sudden go left. Then, I'll have to press right to get back to the directory and continue my navigation. This is on a Acer Revo 3700. I've tried this with a few different remotes thinking maybe the IR codes were too similar on the remote I was using. But, the outcome was the same.

Hi, I've got 2 Flirc's. One in my bedroom running on a mac mini, running windows 8 via bootcamp. Flirc works fine on this computer running latest BETA FW. The second flirc i have running in the lounge room on an older Lenovo PC that i use as a HTPC. It's running Windows 7, all drivers are up to date, but flirc does not run so well on this computer. BOTH flircs have exactly the same settings and are using exactly the same latest BETA FW and both are running exactly the same remote (Aplpe Remote 2nd GEN). The issue i'm having with the second pc (lounge room) is that it is randomly waking up due to flirc, it will also wake up if i push a button on the TV remote…

My flirc is working perfectly except for one thing. Sticky keys, I press down, for example, and it just keeps getting repeated ad infinitum until I either remove the flirc or press another key. Experimenting at home it seems to be a bit location dependent. It's far worse on my HTPC than on my laptop, but if I move my laptop to the approximate location of my HTPC then I can reproduce the problem. This is only a difference of about a yard or so. This made me think that perhaps somehow the IR signal is getting "bounced around a bit" coupled with the excellent sensitivity of the flirc. Part 2 was to wrap the flirc in aluminium foil around the sides, leaving only the …

Hello, I recently got my Flirc and let me begin by saying it has made my life a lot easier. The only problem I have is that it XBMCbuntu (Eden) registers too many strokes with each key I press. If I press a key it will go 10 or 15 clicks down on XBMC list. I am using Flirc with a regular Westinghouse TV remote. Is their any solution to it? Thanks.

So I tried uploading the media keys beta firmware via the GUI after saving my configuration. Once the firmware was uploaded, I loaded my configuration and it said "File Restored", but then none of the buttons did anything. I tried remapping a button that I knew was already configured and it said "Recorded Successfully", which means nothing was mapped there before. It should have complained that it already existed. I thought this may have been an issue with the beta firmware so I downgraded back to the stable 1.0 firmware and tried loading it again and the same issue occurred. I even used the Flirc Utilities software to see what commands it was seeing when I pushed a bu…

I just got my flirc today, and I already love it and it's worked right out of the gate. But I'm having issues with quick presses. If I hit an arrow key too quick, it seems to scroll a whole page, but I want every button press to be just one key press. I have to wait nearly a second between presses for it to not do a page scroll. Is there a fix for this? I'm using xbmc (pre-eden XBMCbuntu) with a Harmony 900, programmed on a win 7 machine. The Harmony is programmed as a Panasonic TC-P65VT30 per eskro's suggestion.
