Firmware Bugs

I don't know if anyone else has run into this, but run my Windows machine with a Dvorak keyboard layout. When using the Flirc GUI in windows and the full keyboard layout you get very unexpected behavior. I clicked on a key, for example the period on the QWERTY keyboard in the GUI. For this example I'll use a '.' (period). The GUI asks what remote button to bind to the "period key" (displayed in text even, not just the character). So it gives every appearance of doing what I intend and press the volume up key on my remote. However, after I complete programming I find that the volume up key now returns a 'v', which is the Dvorak value of the same key. Putting the F…

Actualy I am not yet sure it Is a Firmware bug. But - lately when I plug in the flirc-dongle thing, it starts a cycle of device-found decive-removed allerts, and the device is never recognized. Anyone have an idear what might be the cause of this? and bette, how to change it! ;-) Motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5.

Hi, I am using Firmware v1 under Kubuntu 12.04. Since I have problems with repeating keys I played aroundwith "flirc sesnitivity" and "flirc interkey_delay". Somewhere here on the forum I read that you hould disconnect and reconnect the FLIRC after you use these settings. No matter whether I do that or not I wondered that LRC wouldn't respond to the Up-Key after I changed one of the settings. I just found out that Flirc forgot the Up key (and a few others) and so could not recognize them. Joachim

I noticed when I was programming my flirc that after programming period (.) and comma (,), when I tried to map w and O, they responded with period and comma. I am using a Harmony One, configured for Samsung LN46C650L1F TV. Yellow is programmed to Skip Back, which is comma (,) Green is programmed to Skip Forward which is period (.) C is programmed to o B is programmed to w Any ideas why this is happening? To record perio and comma, I state: flirc record . flirc record , Should the command be different? Thanks!

Flirc ist behavoring strange. I was programming my device. I tested it successfully a few times while I was programming it. Then I was programming the color-buttons on my Harmony 555 (using the Samsung TV-profile). I selected the key "Ctrl+F1" and pressed the red button on my harmony. The Flirc-GUI said the Button already exists. Same with "Ctrl+F2" and the green button. Because I have had already problems with this buttons, I startet XBMC to see if the prior buttons still work. Result: DirectionLeft and DirektionRight (ArrowKeys) didn't work anymore. But the red and the green button now had the funktion of "left" and "right". I saved the configuration: …

I have not done extensive testing, but have noticed that my pc will randomly wake up when i have the flirc receiver plugged in. It does not happen when I unplug it. OS: Windows 7 32bit FW: Wake up keys v4

using the `xev` program on both my media center machine (laptop running mythbuntu 11.04) and my ordinary machine (desktop running vanilla ubuntu 11.10), I can see that: On the laptop only, sometimes pressing a button normally will cause repeated events to be sent until the next button is pressed (after which *that* button may be stuck on indefinitely). At other times it's fine, but it often seems to get stuck in this mode - i.e once a keypress starts repeating, future key presses probably will too. I have no idea if this is a flirc or xbmc bug (flirc is suspect because I haven't seen the problem using keyboard or mouse). I have a key mapped to Favorites. This pops up and I can select and play a favorite. If I put the PC into sleep when it wakes up everything works as expected BUT then (randomly) selecting a favorite stream causes a complete lock-up of the PC. Only a hard reboot can recover. Win 7 32 and pre-Eden xbmc. Any thoughts.

Hi Jason! This is a weird one,,, check this out! using FLIRC's GUI, I've done the mapping while my FLIRC dongle was plugged in front USB#1 port... now i tried to navigate XBMC's menu and its working ok,,, apart from the fact that i have to double-tap buttons on my harmony650 so something moves/reacts on the screen but anyways... Now, i decided to place my FLIRC dongle in front USB#2 port... after that, nothing works!! nothing reacts on screen no matter what! but if i replace the FLIRC dongle back into front USB#1 port, walla! Its starts to work again!! anyone of you guys have noticed a similar behavior as i did?? ok thanks :)
