Hi. I bought the Skip remote so I can consolidate my remotes for my TV, Shield, Apple, and Sound Bar in one of my media lounges. But I am having issues with setting up the remote to work with NVidia Shield. I tried using the Flirc models, and even bought the USB but to no avail.

I just received the remote and have been setting up my first activity. I was successful for a while, but now after I sync and disconnect the remote from the Mac, nothing on the remote works. When connected, I can test buttons successfully and see the remote lights.

Is there a way to use my Skip 1s with my Nvidia Shield TV. It’s the tube version, not the Pro version so there’s no USB port only a port for an sd card?

Was setting my remote up over the past few hours, almost had it dialed in exactly where I wanted it, and now its dead. Batteries were new. Putting another new set of batteries, the remote works again. Battery life is only a few hours? Maybe it has something todo with the LED brightness? I am setting my all my LED brightness to 1% under prefs and LEDs, hopefully this will allow the batteries to last longer?

Hey I just got my Skip 1S remote I have MECOOL KM2 Plus streamer which does not appear on the database. How can I make this to work ? The only mecool they do have is not working. Thanks

I've got an activity that uses my TV, Soundbar, and Roku. The activity shutdown doesn't turn off the soundbar and turns off the TV before sending a home command to the roku. This makes the TV turn back on since the Roku recieved a command. The app asks if everything looks ok, but I don't see a way to edit the shutdown sequence. Does anyone know the trick?

Brand new skip owner. Moving from harmony. In the harmony there were programmable buttons which i have remapped. The main button i used was the TV "source" button to change the source. I cannot pre-program the source as it is not live until CEC comes up and it is not named in the software. Is ther a method for this I am not seeing? Thanks.

Hi I got my Skip remote recently and I have this questions and suggestions: 1) Apple TV (3/4/5 generation) Codes from Skip app: The buttons assigned to the function Forward and Reverse doe't do anything on the Apple TV. 2) TV LG Code Group 1 from Skip app: Is possible to add or find somehow if exist a IR code to change the Sound output? like TV speakers, bluetooth , Optical cable, etc to something like AUDIO OUTPUT 1/2/3/4 Since there is HDMI 1-4 Output (unsure how did you find them since my LGC2 TV remote control does't have them, only one INPUT button menu) maybe is possible to find sound output? 3) I pick the color ring Blue, but what i…

Can Staff do a roadmap? There are plenty of tools in the internet (skip-org.gitbook.io, Trello, this forum, vote system, etc) to display what are you working and what features at some point they will be develop. If you don't want to display a timeline or status for specific reasons is fine but at least show a feature list of what is work on or to be develop. It's annoying that we have to search the forum comments if our problem is recognized and the solution will come in the future. For example: Long pressing, Activity smart switching, etc

Hi I really like the remote and want to protect it like the other that I have. Can Staff somehow partnership with a manufacture silicon company to manufacture and sell protective cases? If it is to complicated, maybe we could find one close to the Skip remote dimensions with minor some scissors cuts and use that. That will be trial and error, but we can all share in this thread. I have this from TV LG C2, pictures: Diagnostic: We could cut the front view and add some material in the back since there is space because the LG remote is fat and not thin like Skip. does anyone have a tv with a remote that has separate play and pause buttons? i'm not even sure there IS a solution here, but does anyone have anything they've done or ideas of how to best handle this? i can only set the play/pause button to one or the other, since on the lg remote they are separate buttons it kind of makes that button useless

Hello. In one of the activities for my Skip 1s, I would like to control my LG OLED55B7A TV using LG Code Group 1 codes. I have the primary cursor buttons mapped to another device, and have the color ring setup to be the cursor keys for my LG TV. When I switch the the color ring mode, the 4 directional keys work, but the center button does not send Cursor Enter as expect. However, I have mapped that key to the 5 button for the same activity, and it works fine in that case. It also works well as the non-color-ring center button in another activity I have (C). Any help in diagnosing why I can't send "Cursor Enter" to my LG TV in the color ring mode would be appreciated. …

I had my Flirc 1S working fine but noticed now my AppleTV doesn’t power on with the same setup after upgrading to tvOS 17. Nothing changed and it worked fine prior to that but now the tv powers up like normal but not the AppleTV. If I hit the home button it wakes up but the Power On/Off IR commands don’t work anymore. I checked this morning and confirmed I’m on the latest everything for the remote.

My remote was working okay in the beginning although the promised functionality was severely lacking. I went to use the remote one day and it was completely dead. I tried changing the batteries and still nothing no led's upon button presses and none of the functions operated when pressing the buttons. I plugged the remote into the computer and the remote came alive and I could even use some of the "test" functions in the software. Of course not all of the test functions worked because well they never did from the beginning. After doing a complete wipe/delete of the remote in the software I set it back up synced and unplugged and again the remote was dead. Plug it in alive…

Hi, I really want to love this remote, but there seems to be some fundamental issues with even a simple configuration: Samsung TV Apple TV on HDMI1 Kodi Odroid Box on HDMI2 Activity A: Samsung TV + Kodi Box Activity B: Samsung TV + Apple TV I've tried everything, but I can find no way to simply switch between Kodi and Apple TV without the TV having to go through a power cycle to pass between activities. It would be nice to be able to search for EFCs (Effective Function Codes?) of a device, finding the "hidden" IR codes. Basically if I had a new device that kind of worked with the existing codes, being able to cycle through the rest of the EFCs would allow the skip 1s to be more functional with the device.

I have a s760h and having a bunch of issues. issue 1 is there is no power on action. It doesn’t show on the list and doesn’t show on the button list. issue 2 is there’s not nearly enough button options to remap. I want to set buttons 1-9 to change inputs but that isn’t even an option. Am I missing something?

I see the code for the S1 sound bar but it is not controlling my S2. Is there another code I can try?

All I do is use my Shield. It's for Plex, netflix, other TV services. So I setup an activity and the TV and soundbar respond, but the Shield doesn't. I have the USB dongle in the Shield. Is there anything else I need to do to get the Shield to work? Do I have to configure the remote to know there is a USB? Configure the shield somehow? I've been through all the shield setting screens. Thank you.

Sometimes this happens to both of my controllers and often switching batteries work but not anymore. Skip App is able to sync data. Please help. Last change was that I added 2 devices to the volume button.

I have added the Insignia Soundbar and the test works fine on Code Group 1. For the test it toggles the power on and off. Then I map the soundbar to control my audio. And in the list of commands that I can use don't include a power toggle or power on and off? How do I add a power command? Thanks.
