kompiler
I am considering pre-ordering and have a question regarding IR lag. How quickly does the IR blast occur after button press? Can I hold volume up or volume down for rapid repeat of IR blast? TIA! Edited March 15 by kompiler
LouP
Hey, not part of the Flirc team but I can answer these questions: > How quickly does the IR blast occur after button press? Using an IR camera, I could see the blast occur instantaneously (to the human eye). > Can I hold volume up or volume down for rapid repeat of IR blast? Yes you can, it works for all the buttons for which it matters in my experience. They also seem quicker than my native LG magic remote that uses bluetooth, ymmv. Pete Zaparti
I second LouP's responses. Having just come from a Sofabaton X1, I can say the Skip1s is the much better experience. If there's any lag, I can't perceive it. It seems to be as reactive as using a device's standard remote. Holding vol up/down also appears to work naturally. That was actually one of my big problems with the X1, I just could never get holding volume to work the way I wanted.
