Hello, I just wanting say I had purchased the Flirc Gen2 USB and I'm proudly to say it an excellent device which I'm using with my HTPC build machine. I want to point out, however, with the Flirc software (version 2.6.4 & previous versions) - when using the Kodi (under Controllers in Flirc GUI), the shutdown is not register to the Inteset INT-422-3 remote power button. I just happen to find out when using Kodi 17. (on a Windows 10 HTPC build ) and when attempt to shutown with the Inteset remote, there is no respond - that when I check the setting in the Flirc GUI to verified all of Kodi buttons are mapped correctly to the Inteset remote (422-3). Will the flirc work with .a FireTV stick or only with the FireTV box? My TV has a couple of usb inputs, but I don't know if the Flirc would communicate with a stick plugged int an hdmi port on the TV.

Is there a way to implement a "DirecTV Now" channel button for Fire TV controlled by a Harmony 600/650/700?

Hello I've LeEco Super4 X55 TV connected to Pioneer VSX-822-K receiver through Digital Optical Audio Toslink Cable for Audio and no HDMI cables attached to the receiver. The TV is an Android TV and i've issues controlling receiver volume with the leeco remote. Can i use flirc plugged into tv's usb port and configure it to control receiver volume with the leeco remote?

I recently purchased a Flirc Gen2 and have successfully programmed it with my URC MX-980 remote using the AUX-001 profile. Everything is working as expected but ran into an issue with buttons not repeating when holding them down. For example. when holding PageUp or the PageDown button, it's only sent once to my nVidia Shield TV. I also tested by plugging it into my Windows 10 computer and the buttons are not repeating when being held down. Now what's strange is that if I use the PageUp/PageDown buttons that were programmed for the eHome receiver, it repeats perfectly fine on the eHome receiver but only once on the Flirc receiver (both connected to Windows 10). …

Hey guys, I'm sure its been asked but whats the best setup for using Flirc, on Plex Media Player (Embedded) + Harmony Touch on a Intel NUC 5i3? I have it setup and it turns on and off using the Intel NUC device, and Flirc controls Plex ok, but there are a few buttons missing. eg, Menu and DVR. I'd love Menu to take you back to the very first menu on PMP, is this possible? Also I've noticed a delay of like 1s when pressing a button and PMP moving. I've read the article saying its the hardware or remote, but if I use the NUC built in IR it works quicker. I've set Harmony to have 0ms delay with inputs, but the delay still remains. I just bought a flirc, so far, I like it except for the few frustration issues I'm running into. I followed the zendesk support and I still am having issues. 1) page up and page down are the same button in flirc full keyboard. In the harmony software I remapped the buttons as it shows, but after I sync it, and then run the flirc software --- ok after many many tries. it for some reason worked this time. aaaaaaaaand now it doesn't work again. tried in both usb 3 and 2. can't seem to get it to work again. 2) the "menu" button on the 650 harmony remote doesn't exist in flirc keyboard. Hi, so I've searched the forums but haven't found a single mention of "dreambox". I have the DM800 controller (silver) and have no idea which TV code to use, so that the controller can transmit all of its buttons (including the MENU button). When in "dreambox" mode, I can barely map a couple of buttons before running into the "Key already mapped" issue - which I assume means this mode is not really compatible with Flirc. Anyway, the closest I've come to a full key map was using the Samsung TV code 0586, but the MENU button would not register at all. Besides Samsing, there's just too many brands, with each having a dozen or so available TV codes so there's no way…

I have multiple Windows Media Center remotes and Flirc keeps telling me 'Button already exists' when mapping certain keys. I did some searches and apparently this is a problem with Flirc and Windows Media Center remotes, even though Flirc is advertised as 'Control your computer with *any* remote'. I would like to use these remotes as they have all the buttons I need. I am running firmware 3.8. What is needed to get these remotes to work? Thank you.

Hi everyone, I have setup the logitech harmony 650 with Flirc with nexus player. Everything works fine, including the back button and the home button. But I have a slight problem, its not a flirc issue but I was wondering if anyone here can help. When I search in any Google App, whether it be Google Play, Youtube, Games or whichever. (i used profile "full keyboard") 2. Hi, today I received my new Flirc USB. My setup is a PC with Windows 10 and a Harmoy Ultimate with the smart hub. I added the Flirc / Kodi device to my Harmony Account and created a new activity, containing my TV and the Flirc/Kodi device. A closer look to the created activity showed, that only the TV is part of the Activity Start and Activity End sequence in the harmony software. So i tried to add command manually. If I have understood things correct, to turn on the PC with the Flirc USB, I just have to send any command that is predefined in the flirc profile. So I added the "STOP" command. Does FLIRC work with the beolink 4 remote form Bang & Olufsen? The critical topic is, that beolink 4 works with 455kHz HF codes instead of 36-40 kHz most other remotes use. Is there a device to adjust beolink 4 to consumer based frequencey? Where can I buy it? Thank you for your help.

If I map the play button on my remote to eg. space on the keyboard in flirc, it does work fine. However, if I press forward or stop or a number of other buttons on the remote I will also get space even though I have not mapped any of them. When I erase one of them, eg. backwards, the play button gets erased as well. I would be really grateful for some advice, and I do apologize if I am overlooking something obvious, I did some reading here on the forum but haven't really managed to solve my issue. I did try different remotes (from different tv's, audio systems and some of them through logitech harmony). I am running Windows 10.

I had a thought, could I run one activity (Kodi ) as I do now and then create another activity say Fallout 4, using the same Flirc and my Harmony remote?

I was wondering if it's possible to use Flirc on a password protected Win 10 machine running Kodi? I would like to keep it password protected as I have two younger kids but would also like to push one button on my Harmony remote and not be presented with the logon page. Any way to do this?

I am able to successfully get through the Flirc GUI while the USB dongle is plugged into my computer by using other ir codes already programmed into the remote from other media manager devices with similar commands, but when I plug the Flirc USB into my Fire TV the remote has no affect?? While the USB dongle is plugged into the computer the remote will send commands and control the laptop, but not the Fire TV. What do I need to do to get this working? I am using the Pro Control Pro24.r remote. I will also need this to work with the Prolink.r processor. Debugging is turned off on the Fire TV... Thanks!!

Using the Insignia Xbox One Remote w/Keyboard. The remote works great with my FLIRC, except the keyboard doesn't appear to be supported and isn't functional. Would love to see an option to program the keyboard on this remote control too, so that I may use the keyboard for searching on Kodi. Thank you!

Hello All, I have just purchased a USB Flirc device after building a gaming / HTPC. I also have a logitech harmony remote. I've read the numerous guides online but falling short on a complete setup, (I used a Intel NUC with Kodi previously and all worked flawsly) In short i have added a "Flirc MCE Keyboard" into the logitech devices, this is becuase i want to be able to start kodi from windows, not just control Kodi. I have then configured the flirc GUI but some hard buttons do not work for example i want to map the back button on the remote to backspace on the keyboard, however, the gui never registers the keystroke? I have bought WMC IR receivers in the past and use Harmony remotes to operate them. Works great. After looking at the Flirc setup it looks like I have to manually program every single button on my current remote. Is there a premade config setup on the site that I can download and update to the Flirc receiver so I don't have to do this?

Well. I'm now at a dead-end with these two remotes. They are brand new remotes. I have disabled all custom programming on both of them but I'm still having issues with FLIRC acknowledging the remote's signals. I'm running the latest FLIRC firmware and software. The HTPC is running Raspbian + Pixel with MythFrontEnd on a brand new RPi3. FLIRC does record the signals w/o any problems. I get a list of the keys via, "flirc_util keys" command and all of the keys are correctly listed. I press [UP] or [DOWN] and nothing happens. Prior to installing Kodi, FireTV must enable developer section stuff. One of the options is USB Debugging mode, not required, but you may inadvertently turned it ON. You need to turn that OFF for Flicr to work with the FIreTV. This was a bone head mistake I did that took me a moment or two to figure out. Once that is disabled, viola!
