Hello, I just got the firc and an nVidia Shield. I have the activity for watching the plex to have the Sony TV, Marantz prepro and the nVidia Game Console (nVidia Shield). I programmed the FLIRC for Shield 2 and updated the firmware. When start the activity, it starts all the devices and the buttons work fine. I have a power toggle in the screen part of my harmony that works if for any reason I wasn't aiming in the right direction when I started the activity. When I power the activity down, it does power off the TV and the Prepro but it doesn't put the shield in standby or power it off. If I go to the activity, …

I recently bought a Flirc USB for my Macbook Pro v10.12.6 with software v3.25.3 and firmware v4.9.3 (both are the most recent Flirc versions). The Flirc software says that I have successfully recorded my keys to my remote, but I can't get the remote to use the keys. The remote still works and I haven't ever had a problem with it so I'm hoping someone can help troubleshoot this issue. I've also tried clearing the configuration multiple times and I've no luck.

I can get everything working satisfactorily, except one thing: The Google keyboard which is the Android TV OS level keyboard for searching in ShieldTV (like in the GooglePlay store - or to search titles in Google Movies or even the Vudu app for some reason) doesn't work. When using the Netflix virtual keyboard - the OK button selects the letter I have navigated to, then navigate to next letter, hit OK, eventually spelling out a title. But in the Google keyboard, the OK button is trying to execute the search instead of selecting the letter, so I can't select a single letter before executing the search...all searches fail. Hi, Trying to control my 4k firestick using an old harmony 900 remote, all seems to work fine until i use the Plex app ( main use of firestick ) the remote works fine unti i go into the search box and evrything seems to lock up and i have to use the original firestick remote to exit.. very weird.. any susggestions anyone?

Hi All, I just took delivery of my Flirc and after going through the set up, pointed my remote to it (https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B00PPRROWK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and nothing is happening. maybe a little niaive of me, but i decided to buy the Flirc it was on the basis that all remotes work (maybe I overlooked if there was any part paying attention to the frequencies). since I have learnt that the Flirc operates near 38ghz and the remote I have is 2.4ghz. I have read different things searching this forum, and one of the admins (Jason) mentioning he would look into it. I just got a flirc and after installing the software and performing both a software and firmware update, I am unable to get flirc to correctly detect the buttons from the remote I am trying to use. Left and down detect as the same (mostly), return and mute detect as the same (mostly), the number buttons are duplicated all over the place. It often responds with "button already exists". Is there any way I can fix this? Hi! I am doing a project using multiple flirc v2 adapter with multiple apple IR remotes. I now (to late) realize that the apple ir remote acutally each have an unique device ID that it sends. That makes it so I am forced to manually program every flirc to a specific apple ir remot and can't simply replace a remote that is lost. Is there any way to get flirc to just disregard the deviceid of the remote-signal? The same way the apple products does until you pair them? I dont want to replace all my remotes, that would suck.

After much research on Harmony, Flirc, and Shield forums, I finally have a setup for my Harmony remote that records all Shield functions correctly to the Flirc. My biggest issue was trying to find a workaround so I didn't have to use CEC with the Shield. My setup includes a Harmony activity for the Shield and all the Harmony button mapping. It also includes a feature to wake up the Shield and power off the Shield when switching activities or powering off all devices. My setup works for the Harmony 600 and 700 series remotes, so some modifications my be necessary for other Harmony remotes. See the attachment for details. Hi. I am trying to control my Nvidia Shield with my Beoremote One for my Bang & Olufsen Avant TV. I have programmed the Flirc for Nvidia Shield on my Windows computer. The Flirc is connected to the USB of my Shield, and a B&O IR eye is placed in front of the Flirc. The B&O Avant TV is setup with Nvidia Shield as the source. I don't get any reaction, when using the Beoremote One. What am I missing? Is this setup not possible with the B&O IR eye in front of the Flirc? Best regards, Michael Schrøder

Can anyone confirm if LG Magic Remote is capable of sending a long-press from a programmable button? I have my remote set to emulate a DVD player. I have programmed various buttons with different keycode mappings for short and long press of the same button but a long press is being interpreted just as if it was a short press. I know the remote can differentiate between a long and short press of the non-programmable buttons (eg the Settings button). But these buttons are not using IR frequency whereas the programmable buttons are using IR frequency. Hello, yawor, one of the forum administrators, often recommends to use TV setup code 2051, which is for a Samsung TV. On that code both v1 and v2 work really well. It uses NECx2 protocol which seems to be the best suited one to work together with Flirc. Using 2051 for my URC-7140 the forward button was left without any function. I asked customer support of OneForAll and the sent me the list attached to this post. So in case anyone has to assign a function to a remote key manually you can do this using the list. I am a new Flirc user and have set up this old Sony controller to run my librelec Kodi on an old TV where the remote is missing. I have only done simple single press programming so far and got stuck because I cannot get the on off button to work (not for the tv but for the kodi setup). Have tried three times now and each time it tells me it has registered the button but it does not work. I assumed it would take me to the exit options window in Kodi but it does nothing. Is it something I have done or is it an issue with FLIRC? Also, is there a way to print off a correlation table to show what I have programmed where? I know most of the buttons are obvious …

When I bought my FLIRC it was advertised as compatible with "almost any remote control". However, after I purchased a XFINITY XR2 remote and failed to get it working, I found this forum and learned that many remotes don't work with FLIRCs. I really think that a compatibility guide needs to be created. A lot of people (like me) bought FLIRCs to put together DVR/PVR systems in lieu of purchasing expensive retail systems. The whole purpose of this is defeated when each of us have to keep purchasing remotes in order to find one that works.
