Remote Controls

Hi. The TiVo remotes have a switch that chooses between two TiVo units. When you set them up you choose a unit number for each one and assign a number from 2-9 for each. I want to use TiVo-2 to control the Kodi on a raspberry Pi, and the other to control the tivo itself. I also want to intercept the TiVo command to allow a Kodi plugin to switch my AVR between the TiVo and the Pi. It seems Flirc does not distinguish between the two. I know the internal data values differ in the high order bits. Any way to have separate Flirc key mapping from the two TiVo settings?

Hi, I've set up my Flirc and Logitech remotes as media center remotes, all the keys seem to work fine except the fast forward, rewind, skip and replay keys, I would like to use these for navigating forward and back by 2hr blocks and whole days respectively in the EPG. When I try to record these keys with the Logitech remote Flirc never recognizes the transmission. I've tried also recording the same keys using an Hauppauge Remote, while flirc appears to record something, only the FF key works. I've tried recording the keys from the Hauppauge Remote to the Harmony remote then to the Flirc but the flirc doesn't recognize any transmissions in this case either. …

Hello, I have been trying to program an old WebTV Keyboard (Sony Plus model, pre-Microsoft) but it appears that some of the keys are grouped together such as Q & R using the same IR code while E &R using their own. \ Unless there is a trick with sensitivity I do not think this keyboard is compatible. I am wondering if other WebTV keyboards would work such as the Phillips or RCA (newer "MSN TV" version) The regular remote (sony) on the other hand is working for me so far:

Using the dishnetwork remote 20.1 ir, and it is working great for me now. I control the dishnetwork stb, television, soundbar, and kodi (xbmc) on amazon fire tv. i tried to be lazy, in the beginning, by using the default code of '722' of the dish remote, on the dvd mode, because it activated (unlocked) all the buttons on the remote control for that mode. The problem was that the remote would always transmit a different ir code to flirc, on every press. I'm not sure why the remote control behaves this way; but I confirmed this strange behavior by using the flirc_util.exe utility. Hi, I have successfully set up my HP Windows Media Center RC6 Remote Control (TSGH-IR07) using the flirc se for use with Media Centre on Windows 8.1. Configuration file is attached. I'm using the firmware associated with the current stable GUI (1.3.4) Not all the buttons are programmed (Visualisation, Print, Radio and Eject), but the wake and shutdown has. All the keys are double coded because each button produces two different IR blasts on subsequent presses. A key thing when getting this setup was never to use the erase button. Hi, I'm trying setting up flirc with the Onkyo RC-840M but i just won't work. It seems that flirc is getting commands even if there are no buttons pressed. I updated to the latest version.

hi lately i'm having issues with my flirc in combination with a harmony touch & openelec. it seems is not picking up the correct sequences anymore. example: latest firmware flirc app on mac set to kodi harmony touch set to flirc>xbmc i press 1 on the remote and 7 lights up in the controller app clear config learn key 1 press 1 on the remote command learned press 1 on the remote 7 lights up try to relearn 1 and error that command is already mapped and this happens for a lot of other key's does anyone have an idea what's happening

I have yet to pull the trigger on Flirc. Before I do, I was hoping someone can answer my question. I have a HTPC (windows 8.1 64) that I want to be able to turn on/off and navigate with my Logitech Harmony Ultimate One remote that I use for all my other AV equipment. Hi, I'm in the process of getting my new Rapberry PI to run OSMC and is almost there. However I would love to get my Apple TV remote to work with my OSMC setup exactly like it did with Kodi on my Apple TV 2. Just ordered one of these bad boys to use with my Nexus Player with kodi. As much as I love the big Atlas remotes they have way too many buttons I'll never use. I'll be on the hunt for a replacement soon I think. My setup is only the nexus player for use with kodi (downloads, recorded shows, OTA with mythtv addon) and netflix, no cable. I'm still trying to figure out how many buttons I'd actually like ha ha. Being a long time user of xbmc on my original xbox I loved the game controller setup so perhaps I'll try to find a remote with the same number of buttons. Hardest part is finding a universal remote that doesn't have those useless number buttons.

AT&T U-verse S10-S4 remote -- Has anyone gotten this remote to work with Flirc? I've searched the forums and google and haven't found any solutions. It would be great if the remotes did work with Flirc as they have quite a few buttons, have a good layout for PVR, and they're pretty cheap to buy on eBay. Right now, I've got 2 Flirc's and 2 remotes and using different pairings came to the conclusion that Flirc doesn't understand the U-verse remote IR signals. Hello everybody To make it quick and clear :-) two questions here: 1) I am using an OneForAll URC-7140 remote control. Is there any IR-code you can suggest to get all the keys working? Whats your experience? My TV-brand is LG so this codes are out of question. I had no luck with all the Sony TV codes (1505, 1825, 1651), the flirc setup utility did not recognize a single key press. Someone in the forum suggested to use TV codes as chances are better to get every key on the remote working. 2) XBMC reacted very laggy to key presses, I had to hold down a button for about 2 seconds to get some reaction on the GUI. I was wondering if there was an update on improving support for MCE type remotes with the FLIRC. Hello, I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 which also has an ir booster. When I install an app, which uses the ir booster to control my Samsung LCD TV, this works. When I then use my Galaxy to pair some keys with flirc, flirc does not recognize any key. When I take the original Samung remote control flirc recognizes the keys. Is there a difference between the original remote control and the Galaxy? Thank you for your answer. pope5

Hi I'm using One-For-All remote to control XBMC. Th Flirc setup was pretty straightforward...however, it seems i wasn't able to input the right definition correctly. every time i use the remote it basically works but it also tries to activate a TV function... any ideas? thanks!

Hello, I have just finished configuring my Chromebox as a Kodi OpenELEC media center and I wanted to use my Flirc with a brand new Xbox One media remote. Most of the buttons work as expected, I can make the Flirc learn it properly. However, the Menu, OneGuide, View and Power does not seem to remember the settings. When setting it up, they do no not even lit after saving the key press. Any idea why this is happening? I'm on the latest firmware.

Hi there, I recieved my Flirc a few days ago. Setup took some time, but everything works great, and love the flexibility! But i seem to have on problem. I cannot shutdown or start my Linux mint PC with the remote. What i did do already is make a keymap with "alt-s" to shutdown the pc. That works. Also mapped that key in flirc gui to power off on the remote. (not the off button, but a soft button). That works fine to. Then i mapped the "wake" button to poweron on the remote. I just got my Flirc. The remote I'm trying is for a Pioneer DVD Recorder DVR 520H. Its known as the VXX2910, an image (taken from Amazon) is attached: If I record one button - "up" - it's fine. I then try "left", and I get "button already exists". Same for "right". Same for "1", same for "2" etc. I've attached my fcfg config: my_flirc_config.fcfg I'm recording it on Windows 7 x64, with the intention of then using it on a headless Linux system. Tried suggestions I've seen around the forums, such as disabling built-in profiles, (attempting to) adjusting the sensitivity. Firmware came as 3.1, tried updating it to 3.5 but that hasn't helped. Hi, I am not sure this is the right place to ask, but who knows. Maybe it is a keymapping issue! I am running KODI (XBMC). I can't find a way to delete from library. If I use keyboard/mouse, I can right-mouse-button click on a title and I get a popup menu that contains manage from where I can delete. Is it possible to map a key on the remote to act like RMB? Hi, i am currently trying to program my harmony 650 to work with WMC using the MCE keyboard profile but i am having issues. A lot of keys are not working properly, for example I've programmed the back button on the remote to the backspace key on the keyboard but when i press the button on the remote it sends the "up arrow' command. Hi, new Flirc user, first time poster. So, I've been googling how to wake the WMC PC via the Harmony One remote, but I'm having some trouble. I found the "[Out of date] Getting Flirc to wake up your computer" tip, but I'm doing something wrong apparently, or it's actually out of date :) even though it's the most recent thing I can find. Is there a more recent document to follow to enable PC wake? It's definitely not working out of the box for me. In addition to a Harmony One remote, I also have a Logitech K830 wireless keyboard w/ mousepad. Swiping the mousepad *does* wake up the PC, but using the Harmony remote *does not*. I just received a flirc & installed the driver and gui and all looks good however after programming the flirc using a cheap radioshack remote my simple testing (cursor in address bar of browser) requires me to press the direction button twice to move the cursor. I only had to press each button once to program it in the gui. Is this expected behaviour with this remote or is it a bug in the flirc, is it something in the settings I can fix or am i just "holding it wrong"? thanks
