Hello, I tried to program a Flirc (v1, firmware 3.8) with a older Hauppauge Remote. (looking like this: ) At first everything looked fine (after I discovered I need to teach every button twice). But a small number of buttons misbehave :-( After a while of debugging I can reproduce the following: - clear everything - teach "up" two times - teach "0" two times. Second time it says "Button already exist".Testing 0 now alternates between "0" and "up" response. Same happens with yellow. These three buttons seem to be connected somehow. I tried around with the advanced settings also, but could not find a solution. So it looks I need to get another r…

Dear all, I configured "Flirc media player" as a device at my Logitech Harmony 600. A lot of functions worked out of the box, some could be learned. But what doesn't work and has a weird behavior is the fullscreen function. Regardless which button I assign, it is mistaken for the number button "3". I can erase Fullscreen and 3, but even after that, when i push "3" on the Harmony, it still works. Any suggestions?

I just bought a FLIRC since it looked like it was mostly Plug'n'Play with the Harmony remote using the XBMC (KODI) device inside the Logitech Harmony setup software... did I misunderstand this? But when I try to use the Activity, the remote commands don't activate the FLIRC software. I know it is sending IR (would e nice if the FLIRC software showed what it was sending (like EventGhost does) What do I need to do to get this working? Hi, I have harmony remote with flirc, I take TV samsung profile on harmony because I havn't samsung tv and set the profile then I programmed the remote with flirc with kodi profile in the flirc app . but on the RPI 3 B+ , one click press give me 2 click instead one in the Libreelec on Rpi , Also , you can feel that the remote not smooth with it . What I need to do to fix that ? Thanks.

Hi I have a Logitech Harmony 650 remote. My Flirc works great for my Fire TV and I have the 3.8 firmware installed. The Home button works enough to bring me to the home screen - however a long hold on the Home button does not bring up the sleep option. Is this a known issue? Is there a way around it? Thanks!

Finally, finally, finally with the latest Feb 13, 2017 update EVERYTHING works perfectly - Flirc + Amazon Fire TV and URC MX-990 !!! Before this latest update, I had tried over a dozen times to get commands working, but would get a couple or a few to work , but never all at the same time. I had tried 3 different remote controls to lean from flir,c but never could get them to learn over to my URC MX-990. I was ready to throw the flirc in the trash can. Along comes this latest update yesterday and ALL is solved! Perfect the first time, EVERY command! Thank you Jason!

I have a flirc-se to use with my htpc (ubuntu+kodi). Everything worked fine until I tried to program the remote control (harmony 650) to use some hot keys (F8 to F12) I had added to the keyboard to switch between kodi and various configurations of google-chrome (for different streaming services). After adding the hot keys to the flirc-se configuration and rebooting the boot stopped after a few second (I could hear the fans stop) and started again. This sequence just kept repeating until I turned off the power supply. I then removed the flirc-se power switch cable from the motherboard and reattached the power switch cable from the front panel but kept…

Hello, well, I'm sure this has been gone on over and over again with various posters so I'll cut to the chase. I've followed the instructions here: And But naturally, pressing that button on my MCE remote does nothing. The other buttons work fine through Kodi as they do for most other people with this problem. For reference I am using a VIA EPIA M920 and the firmware version is already 3.8.0 Any other information needed?

I am running Windows 7 64 on my PC I have Flric v 3.9.12 and firmware v4.4.2 My issue: I configured my remote to work successfully, but I find after my pc is powered of and I restart, The remote does not work until, I reseat Flirc dongle in the USB port. Basically the steps I take to turn on my computer, (the computer is off). I start by pressing the power button on my remote, the computer and TV comes on. I can attest that these FLIRCs are great for use with KODI when, especially when you build your own HTPCs. I have two 1st gen FLIRCs, which I have been using a while. But, I replaced one of the computers with an NVIDIA shield, so one of the dongles has been gathering dust until I built an arcade computer and needed a dongle to control KODI while the arcade was not in use. Thought I'd refresh the firmware on one of the FLIRCs and install it, but I advise against this. If they work, I don't think you should upgrade the firmware. It's not allowing for my Apple Remote to be paired with my 2017 Macbook Pro (with touchbar). I was wondering what I'm doing (if anything) wrong. I could use some guidance. I don't want to have to send both of these items back. Thanks!

I've got a Harmony Ultimate One and a non-Streacom case. From what I can see advised here: http://www.streacom.com/downloads/ug/flirc-se.pdf the SE board should work with any mother board that provides matching pins. What I can't work out is what generation of Flirc the SE aligns with. Gen 1 or Gen 2? The relevant page doesn't make it clear for me: https://flirc.tv/more/flirc-streacom-edition If I'm looking to deal with a Gen 1 style setup, then I'd probably pass and opt for a Gen 2 USB unit instead. Hi there! I purchased a Flirc USB 2nd genI have a desktop PC and a HTPC that I intend to use the Flirc on, both are running Windows 10. For this convo, I'll only bring up the desktop PC, but it is has an ASRock FM2A75M Pro4+ mother board. How do I go about syncing my logitech Harmony 650 to this device and using the Flirc/Harmony 650 to power on my PC (not from sleep, that is)? I believe that the BIOS options for power to the USBs is currently on, is there a way to verify that? I also activated the 'powering on by USB keyboard/mouse' in BIOS, but that still didn't help. I have just replaced my Flirc with the Flirc SE for the additional power related functions with my HTPC case. I setup the Harmony power button with the Flirc v3.5.2 software as follows:- Controllers > Flirc Streacom Edition > Click Key to Start Recording > Selected Power Button (Only option) I then pressed the Power button on the Harmony Remote, the button is registered and HTPC is shut down. The HTPC Activity correctly turns on/off the PC as required along with other equipment, but unfortunately all other Activity's also turn on the HTPC regardless if it's required or not within the selected Activity. e.g. Watch TV Activity also …

Hello, I bought Flirc for my Nvidia Shield TV to learn Voice Search key and first I learn Windows key by command line (by this command flirc_util.exe record_api 8 0) which work fine but what I noticed now this command always turn on Google Assistant not real Voice Search in apps like on YouTube, Spotify etc. I connected my Logitech K400 Plus keyboard which have "Search" key on F5 key (this is not F5 key, on this keyboard to push F5 you have to push it with FN, without combination with FN it's a Search key), and this key work corectlly, on Home menu it turn on Google Assistant, on YouTube app turn on Voice searching exactly the same as orginal Shield remote. …

Hi guy i've got a question, i've had to retire my old Antec Fusion Black HTPC case with bult in lcd and receiver. I've pu the brains into a new case but its just a normal case not a htpc so its got no screen or ir receiver. will the 2nd gen FLIRc let me turn my htpc on from cold off. I don't want to have it go to sleep and wake up.

I'm having issues trying to use flirc with my Sony TV's remote. I was hoping it could turn my tv on/off but then use flirc to send inputs over to my HTPC. It seems to be getting confused and not registering any keys properly... Other remotes that aren't connected to my TV work fine. Any workarounds for this? Thanks

I’ve had Flirc for a few months and it’s great to be able to use it with our Fire TV but the only thing is that it only works when the remote is pointed directly at the box. It can’t be slightly angled up or down by even an inch otherwise it doesn’t work which is pretty annoying. Is this normal? The remote is a Harmony 650.

hi guys, After not having much luck with using fake profiles with the harmony (lag etc) i managed to great great response times with the Flirc kodi profile. My issue now is i am unable to map any button (fake or otherwise) to the power button on the harmony software. The option exists but does not respond to any command. To check basically the harmony remote lights up on a valid button press, this doesn't happen when mapping any button under the flirc profile. I know any keypress wakes the pc but i have an autohotkey script which also sends a sleep command. Would love to get this working on the acutal power button if anyone can offer any help. …

NEVER MIND I found my error. I had NOT turned ADB bugging OFF on the FireTV. Once I did the DTV remote works with my FireTV ;^) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have tried several times to get my FLRIC to pair up so my DirecTV Remote model RC66RBX can operate my FireTV. But all attempts have failed with none of the paired buttons on the DTV remote being able to mimic the buttons on the FireTV remote. All updates on the FLRIC have been done. This is the sole reason I bought the FLRIC. So unless I can get this to work I will need to return the FLRIC. Please advise, J…

I have a USB keyboard plugged into a chromebit which allows me to power on and off the device with a single button on the keyboard. I was hoping something in flirc would be able to be mapped to this button, but have not had any success with any of the profiles, nor using the record API. Is there any way to control the power of a chrome device with flirc? Or does anyone know how I can find the HID value from the keyboard I have?

Hello all, I just recently purchased a Flirc, a device I have had my eye on for a very long time, and so far I am very happy with it. It is currently connected to my Windows 10 HTPC running Plex. I wanted to share a small AHK script which will do three things to prevent me from having to grab the PC keyboard when plex is closed/minimized, the volume is muted, or I want to minimize plex when using Netflix (TV App). Just trying to configure the Flirc with my Mythtv system and I'm a little confused as how to assign multiple buttons on my remote to the MythTV keybindings using the Full Keyboard setup. For example, Both the left arrow key and the circular arrow key in Myth are "left" but I can only assign the left arrow key on the flirc setup keyboard to one button. Or am I missing something?
