	I'm using a Logitech Harmony 950 remote control with a Flirc Second Generation USB Receiver to control Kodi v21.2 on a Mac Mini 2018. All functions work correctly, but there is a noticeable lag—for example, when pressing a direction key, the image on the screen responds with about a half-second delay.
</p>

<p>
	I have tried many settings in the MyHarmony software, including "Input Delay," "Inter-key Delay," and repeated key press options, but nothing has helped.
</p>

<p>
	In the MyHarmony software, I selected the vendor "Flirc" with the model "Kodi," while in the Flirc software, I chose "Full Keyboard."
</p>

<p>
	I also updated the Harmony 950 to the latest available firmware: version 4.15.330 with hardware version 01.00.
</p>

<p>
	Strangely, I used the same MyHarmony configuration and settings with a Logitech Harmony One+ remote control, and the lag almost completely disappears—even though that remote is less expensive.
</p>

<p>
	Does anyone know how to eliminate this annoying lag with the Harmony 950 remote?

	So, I have a logitech USB receiver in my mini PC and I have the flirc USB receiver in my mini PC.   I have installed all softare on Mint linux and the firc interface comes up.   I navigate it with the logitech keyboard and attempt to program a hisense remote.   None of the keys (arrows, enter, back) take.    Not sure if there is an issue between the IR receivers but the hisense remote still functions when I am using the logitech mouse.

	How do I program the middle button of my traditional white Apple remote control to act as a play/pause button for watching video on VLC? Neither the "Minimalist" nor the "Media Keys" Controllers allows me to do this, nor can I find anything in the VLC preferences that helps.
</p>

<p>
	Seems like this should be a pretty straightforward thing to program. Thank you!

	I have a remote for my Pioneer Inno XM radio that I want to capture all the keys from and use the sendir to control the device from the computer.
</p>

<p>
	One glaring issue, the remote sends two different types of scan codes, alternating between button presses.
</p>

<p>
	This was pressing the Up button 4 times. If I use any one of the codes and send them back with sendir, it works once but stops responding until I use the actual remote with it again. I think it's expecting on the device side to see an alternating pattern of RC5 and unknown, and rejects the commands completely if it doesn't. How would I go about sending a single keypress either via flirc_util sendir/sdk ir example that properly emulates the remote behavior?

	Hi everyone,

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	I’d like to know if it’s possible to connect a regular remote to the Xiaomi Box S using Flirc. Can I use any of the default controllers available in the app, or do I need to add anything extra? Maybe anyone has a configuration that can share, so I can map my remote.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	Thanks for the help!

I read this part of the <a href="https://flirc.gitbooks.io/flirc-instructions/content/remote-control-issues.html" rel="external nofollow">troubleshooting section</a> which says to do each button twice for remotes with alternating patterns for every successive button press, but this issue I'm facing is different. I think depending on the distance and angle, there are different IR codes for each button. This doesn't happen with a different Sony Universal remote. I eventually run into the "No more space for new buttons" problem trying to save the same buttons multiple times because of this and still can't use the remote properly from certain distances.

Everytime i set up button "a" and bind it to the same remote control button, ther HUI says "recording successful" any hints on how to solve this issue? Hello,
</p>

<p>
	Is it possible to edit the configuration file and just load the codes from e.g. <a href="https://files.remotecentral.com/" rel="external nofollow">https://files.remotecentral.com/</a> rather than learning each code? If so, what should be the format of the code (the hex codes, such as here: <a href="https://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/codes/marantz/receiver_0/" rel="external nofollow">https://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/codes/marantz/receiver_0/</a> ?
</p>

<p>
	(I plan to use Flirc together with an ethernet-IR bridge, so I don't really have a remote to learn from. At the same time, I cannot use profiles as I want the numpad keys. I could try the learing procedure using the bridge as transmitter, but that would take a lot of time as I would need to enter the codes one by one in the transmitter)
</p>

<p>
	Thanks!

	Hi - I'm in the UK in the disability access arena in the NHS. To help us get around increasing numbers of TVs and digital TV boxes that use Bluetooth, we are investigating using USB keyboards plugged straight into the TV. Then using the keyboard keys accessing all the functions. This seems to work on many devices, but Virgin 360 and also Guide does not seem to work/be accessible. We have mechanisms to send IR codes for keyboard presses for instance using the Pretorian IR Keyboard and Mouse.
</p>

<p>
	I was wondering if anyone has some experience with keyboards as an access method to TVs etc?

	Many thanks,

	I just purchased Flirc USB and updated the firmware. I am trying to set up a Harmony remote for Kodi or any media player. My harmony hub is near the PC running Kodi with Flirc inserted in the USB port.
</p>

<p>
	Here is what I did so far.
</p>

<p>
	On Harmony App
</p>

<p>
	1. Create a new device, enter manufacturer=Flirc, device name=Windows Media Center
</p>

<p>
	2. Created a new activity named Play Kodi
</p>

<p>
	When I tried going into Kodi, the following buttons didn't work, and I opened the Flirc UI, selected WMC, and checked the Harmony with the remote displayed on UI.
</p>

<p>
	1. Play/Pause/OK - I tried erasing and reconfiguring these Harmony buttons using the Flirc UI, but every time they get mapped to Play.
</p>

<p>
	2. Stop/Back/Exit - Similarly no matter what I do, they always get mapped to back.
</p>

<p>
	In Kodi, I can stop a movie, or go to the previous menu.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Can someone please help?
</p>

	I was trying to get a button on my remote working, and now things that used to work, don't.  First, is there any way to tell what key combinations are configured?  I've included my log file in case it will tell you something.

	Hi All,
</p>

<p>
	I just purchased a Firestick FLIRC and it is working as I expected. I've been unable to come up with the HID code for the TV button. I tried a number of suggestions on the web programming them with the command line tools with suggestions I found on the web. None work. Does anyone have this information?
</p>

<p>
	Thanx

	Hi, I want to get a 2013 Magic Remote because the layout is perfect for what I want, but I'm aware that getting it to work is <a href="https://forum.flirc.tv/index.php?/topic/1206-lg-magic-remote/#comment-7393" rel="">less than intuitive</a>.
</p>

<p>
	If I'm just getting a Magic Remote and don't have an LG TV, will I still be able to use it with my Flirc and would anyone be willing to help me through it?<br />
	I haven't bought the remote yet, I thought it would be sensible to do my due diligence first.
</p>

<p>
	Cheers

	Have Kodi as user on Windows running thru Aster Multiseat, the Flirc USB (latest firmware) is on a 2 metre USB extension cable
</p>

<p>
	After about 15 mins, sometimes longer maybe up to 30 mins, Kodi stops responding to the remote. Even key presses are not getting logged by Kodi anymore while other events show up in the log and Kodi continues doing whatever it was doing at the time like playing TV
</p>

<p>
	If I move a mouse the remote starts working again for some 15 mins or so before stopping working again.
</p>

<p>
	I've disabled all power management on the USB slots
</p>

<p>
	Does anyone have an idea what is happening and how to solve it?
</p>

<p>
	This was all working fine before I had to reinstall Windows.

	I am trying to use my Harmony One remote to control my Nvidia Shield 2nd Gen device via Flirc

<p>
	In the Harmony One  I used the Media Center PC, Flirc, Shield template for the IR commands.
</p>

<p>
	I am using the Invidia Shield Gen 2 controller in the Flirc software. I have sucessfully programmed all

<p>
	of the buttons except the "Back" button. The Harmony unit uses the "Back" command from the

	"Return" command but to no avail. This is frustrating because all of the other buttons work fine.

<p>
	I recently switched from a HTPC to an nVidia shield, and purchased a FLIRC for controlling it with my URC Mx-780. The remote had worked flawlessly on my HTPC, which had a separate RF module. With the new system the remote input is very sluggish, to the point of being unusable. Additionally, any quick presses (e.g. doing a double press of one of the direction keys, etc) will not register at all.
</p>

<p>
	The debug window gives the constant error of "too many edges" with any quick key press. I have turned down the strength of the IR blaster to its lowest setting, but it still seems to occur. I have wrapped the blaster and the FLIRC window in opaque tape, and that hasn't helped. I have tried to put distance b/w the rf blaster and FLIRC device, but that hasn't helped either. I have tried programming the directional keys etc in multiple ways, including mapping both single and rapid clicks to the same button, but nothing has seemed to help. And when the device is plugged in, even single taps are very sluggish, or don't register at all (though they register when the device is plugged into a laptop). I can post some logs if that would be helpful.
</p>

<p>
	Any help would be great. I'm getting to be a bit frustrated with the whole process.

	I've got a Gen2 Flirc and tried to pair with my Sony TV's (KD-49XH8096) remote but nothing happen, no signal. The debug shows nothing. The pairing process with the Yamaha amplifier's remote is successful. Any idea? Thanks.
