First off, I love FLIRC and think it's a great product. Even more impressed to find out in this forum that this is apparently a one man operation. I guess that explains why it is rather hard to find online (I bought one from Newegg and one from Amazon). I already have 2 of the old plastic flircs that work perfectly with my Harmony remotes (Ultimate and One) with my two Fire TVs and I can finally control the Fire TVs with just my Harmony remotes. I have just changed from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and would like to be able to check what some of my commands are mapped to. I had quite a few custom ones that I used a dummy device on my Logitech remote to make work, but I didn't note down what I used at the time! I can't seem to find a way to delete a mapping either. I looked at the saved cfg file and saw it only contains about 20 characters?! Surely this doesn't contain all my numerous saved mappings? My problem is I want to remove the mapping to the wake/suspend key, as I have an issue where there is no video output after the PC wakes from sleep (driving me mad!). Easiest fix for now is …

I pre-ordered the pi4 Flirc case directly from the flirc.tv website and recently got my package delivered. When I opened it I discovered that it was the old pi3 flirc case instead. The packing slip even said it was supposed to be the pi4 case but I was shipped the wrong product. I'm trying to get support with my order and I've emailed support@flirc.tv but I've gotten no replies for a few days now. I'm also using a Fire TV Stick 4K instead of the pre installed android 8.1 software for any kind of streaming (Netflix...).As far as I know it is not possible to boot directly to the fire TV stick.As a workaround I would like to use my Logitech harmony hub with a script to switch directly to the fire TV stick after booting android but: 1) Issue switch on button. I have experience configuring the Flirc for my Nvidia Shield using a Logitech harmony 650/665. The Nvidia Shield built-in profile with the Flirc/Logitech supports long presses and everything works great. I recently purchased an Amazon Firestick 4K and another Flirc (+Y cable). I programmed my remote to add the Flirc / FireTV under a new activity, but the Flirc with the FireTV does NOT seem to support long presses. Specifically, I am trying to long press the center (select) button while running the SageTV miniclient to pull up a menu. This works fine with the Nvidia Shield+Flirc, but not the FireTV 4K+Flirc. Hi, to resolve my problems with FLIRC and recording of my IR-codes from the Toshiba PC 'Qosmio' IR I tried every option from the 'Advanced' menu item but it keeps in "not working" state. E.g. the error message 'button already exists' occurs very often and even if not the recorded commands does not work at all or does not work as expected. Therefore I cannot use my Windows 7 media center HTPC together with FLIRC and my existing setup! I have read a lot of problem reports in this forum and my conclusion is: "Use any remote with your media center" is marketing bullshit. I have a Fire TV (gen 3 - the pendant one) connected to my TV via an OTG cable with FLIRC. This works perfectly for normal key presses however it doesn't work for the push to hold to rewind. I'm using a Roku IR as my remote. Anyway I can get this to work? Thanks.

Lets try this again in the general forum, maybe an admin will finally respond. Is there a way to have a profile created that assigns Android Keycodes to remote buttons? I am using an Inteset remote and want to use the android keycodes in the link below to map each button. Hi, I have the new aluminum flirc receiver and have been trying to get it to both wake and also put the pc to sleep. I have tried to clear the existing configuration and have updated to the latest firmware. I have tried both the full keyboard WAKE button and also the on/off switch in the multimedia keyboard as suggested by some forums. But still no luck. Flirc will wake the pc, but will not put it to sleep. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I've installed the FLIRC drivers on a Windows 10 system (1903) and plugged in the device. I am attempting to use an RTI RP6 to send it infrared commands. The learning mode works fine. I bring up the keyboard controller, tell it I want to program the spacebar, press a button on the remote, that triggers the RP6 to send infrared to the FLIRC, and yes it has recorded. Nothing I do, however, seems to make it play back that space key press. It seems to me that I should be able to go into any textbox (a browser address box, for example, or a command prompt), press the remote key, and see a space typed there. Is that a valid test? Hi All, I just received my Flirc 2 and I am testing to see which configuration I want to go with.. I have a few questions that I am hoping I can get answered. I am running a Windows 10 Pro 64bit HTPC without Media Center and I use Logitech Harmony Ultra remotes with Hubs. I want to be able to navigate through Windows and the Apps I use frequently. VLC Player is what I use the most. I started mapping the remote buttons with the full keyboard. The first problem I saw was that I cannot use just the Windows Key without something else. I've been using a 1st gen for years and have it setup perfectly. Just got a 2nd gen and I don't see the interkey delay option any more. Scrolling in Kodi is now too fast and I don't see a way to adjust for it, is this possible to fix?

I'm looking to buy just the thermal pads for the Flirc Raspberry Pi 3b (regular) case Kodi version, but I can't find them anywhere online.

I'm using one of the older clear FLIRCs with a Nexus Asus Player, controlling with an MX-980 (RF through an MRF-350). Pretty much everything seems to be working just fine apart from one thing. I can't get hold-to-repeat to work for the direction or select button. Hold-to-repeat works on the remote with other devices (TiVo) not through FLIRC. The standard RF remote hold-to-repeat works just fine on the Nexus. Plugging a keyboard into the Nexus through USB, hold to repeat works just fine. The FLIRC is on firmware 3.9. The software on my Mac is fully updated. I've tried interkey delays of 0 and 5, as well as remote-controlled repeats of 1 and 3, all with no luck. P…

I configured the up button on my remote by executing "sudo flirc_util record up" and then pressing the up button. Now the up button on the remote triggers an up key press on the computer. But the down button on the remote also triggers an up key press on the computer, and so do a few other buttons on my remote. What does cause this problem and how to solve it?
