Currently using an XBOX ONE Media Remote and Kodi 17 on a Chromebox. When pressing keys, the selection takes off. I press once to scroll down a menu and end up 15 pages down. When I hold the down key attempting to scroll down several pages, it'll tab down once or twice and stop. This seemed to be the case on my previous generic remote as well. Years back, I used a remote from my cable company that worked fine. I'm currently using the latest firmware and had the issues on old firmware previously. My Flirc is the clear one before the current version. I've adjusted the sequence modifiers from 0-7 and seem to just have various versions of the issues. I do…

I know there's a deb and rpm available, but have you considered changing to one of the newer universal packaging formats like AppImage or Snap? All the dependencies can be included, so it would mean you could have just one build process and cover all the Linux desktop distros in one format. I use Solus, so there's no way for me to install a .deb or .rpm file, other than via virtualisation or booting from a LiveUSB.

Got my Flirc Receiver today but no instructions! My system is a Nvidia Shield TV and I was told my Nvidia that a Direct TV Remote RC65X would be compatible with the Shield. I have pluged in the Flirc to the Shield now what? Have no idea what to do next? I thought maybe a code would appear on the screen and I would input that some wear very confusing!!!! Please help!

I tried to install the sources for flirc on my Linux Mint 19 Tara, the system is on the list of supported OSes (https://packagecloud.io/docs#os_distro_version), but when you try to update the sources using "apt update" on the terminal, It say that not find the flirc repo for linuxmint/ tara, so I've to edit the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/Flirc_repo.list and change from "linuxmint/ tara" to "ubuntu/ bionic" now all seems work well

I have a new Flirc SE that I installed in a streacom case, but when I hook it up to the motherboard, it won't let the computer turn on. Here's the background. This is so new, I haven't even closed the case let alone installed the configuration software. When I connect my power button directly to the motherboard, the signal looks fine and I can turn the computer on and off. When I go through the Flirc SE, it only works if I play with the power cable. If I disconnect the cable from the PWR2 connection on the Flirc SE, then reconnect it, it will turn the computer on. If I keep it connected, it will turn off quickly and no amount of pressing the power button will change that.…

Good evening all I am after a bit of advice please and hope I have come to the right place. I have a Harmony Hub Elite and I am using a Flirc dongle in a Wetek Core so that i can use my Harmony on it. The communication between the 3 is all working fine however the issue that I am having is that when I press a button on the Harmony Hub it is also unexpectedly controlling a LED light strip I have on my TV. Is there any way to combat this as i only want to control my Wetek Core and not my lights with the remote? Thanks

Hey everyone, I have a question that has probably been answered a million times but no matter how I search I can't seem to find the answer. I would like to use my flirc to control multiple devices if posible, i.e. TV chanel, AV Receiver, Fire TV... Was hoping to use it with an HTPC remote that I have been holding onto for a while to get everything in one package. Is this possible or do I need to break down and buy the Harmony remote and use it in conjunction with my flirc? I don't have my flirc yet, due on Sunday from Amazon. I have a windows 10 HTPC and i've mapped the usb Flirc V2 full keyboard "wake" button to the Harmony 350 Power on button. However , it will not wake the pc from sleep. I have a usb keyboard and mouse connected which both wake the PC instantly. I have also disabled hibernation so pc will only go into standby mode. Why are the keyboard and mouse able to wake the pc without issues and the Flirc not ? Erick

Hi, Need help turning my pc on and off I have a v2 USB Flirc and a Harmony 350 remote. I'm running the latest version of Kodi on Windows 10. Most of the remote keys are emulating the MCE keyboard. My Harmony remote will only send my tv's on and off command and use seperate buttons for each so i need to use those for the HTPC on an off functions as well. However, I'm not sure which is the best way to put my PC into standby mode or wake it from there. The PC is configured to go into standby mode if it gets the "off" command. Can the "off" command be mapped to a keyboard Command on the Flirc and can also send the stop command to Kodi ? Thi…

Hi, I'm in the process of making som sweet macros but I can't seem to get them to work as I want. This is what I try to do in the command line utility: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Flirc\flirc_util.exe" record F10 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Flirc\flirc_util.exe" record F11 I do get the: Successfully recorded button while doing this. These two are mapped to one key and when I press the remote key the first "F10" activates but not "F11". However when I press the same remote key again "F11" activates. Meaning that I have to press the same remote key twice to get this macro to work. What do I need to do to get this macro to work with only one rem…

Hi, i have a Flirc full keyboard setup with a bunch of remotes used as transmitters. Once in a while the letter “n” is received without any remote sending anything. How can I unmap “n”? I have tried “erase” and then pressing “n” on the GUI keyboard but it does not help.

I want to use Fire Stick on our RV with a logitec Harmony (650) and the Fire Stick is plugged into the HDMI in the back of the TV. I have plugged in the Flirc on our Mac, downloaded the Flirc program, synced the Flirc with the program (and current updates) after I synced the Harmony shortcuts. Now what? Where on the RV do I put the Flirc? Thanks!

Hi! I just got my flirc and am loving it so far. I have one issue that I can't seem to figure out however. Before I had my flirc, I would put my PC (Win 7 x64, BIOS set to S3) to sleep and it would stay that way until I sent a WOL command. No problem. Now after plugging in my flirc, as soon as the PC goes to sleep it wakes up right away. Unplugging the flirc again and and trying to get the PC to sleep (and stay that way) works. I do have the Sleep Detection setting enabled in the flirc GUI. What can be causing this? Any tips on where/what settings I should be checking? Any help is appreciated, Thank you!

I have a new Nvidia Shield and Flirc. I have programmed the Flirc and installed it in the Shield. When I am in the Home screen, all 7 buttons I mated to the buttons on the Nvidia Shield controller, work fine. However, if I enter an app, like Tablo or Plex, the buttons stop working, or just occasionally work. If I unplug the Flirc and plug in a USB keyboard, the arrow keys on the keyboard work just fine, either on the Home screen or in the above mentioned apps. Just the Flirc does not work. Hi I've been stuck for a couple of months trying to get the harmony 350 working with the flirc. I've been dealing with Harmony support but we don't seem to be getting anywhere. I've been trying to set the Harmony 350 up for a family member so i want it to act like my 650 which they are already familiar with . I know that there is a Flirc device for the Harmony remotes but i set my devices to be the Microsoft Media keyboard and the TV. This allowed me to have access to the same keyboard commands i use in the 650 e.g. "E" to bring up the epg. I managed to get all the colored keys set up and the Info and Guide keys. Every flirc_util command I type is prefaced with over 400 lines of irrelevant messages. Most lines start with [V] lib/libtransport/hic.c Finally after giving the info (e.g. version number) you'll see lib/libflirc/flirc_driver.c fl_close_device.. closing device, freeing device. What do I need to do to get this back to the standard output without all of the extras? Running on Raspberry pi with latest version of the OS.

hello! I have a Rasberry PI 3 running LibreELEC 8.2.5. I have a shutdown script which is working with GPIO3 (pin 5), which will perform a shutdown and restart without an issue. On my pc, I have install 3.1.1.6 Flirc SE and configured with a spare Samsung DVD remote. Once all is setup, I reconnect the power to the PI and it boots up fine I can navigate but I can't shut down, but I can use the momentary switch which is connected to the Flirc SE.

I have just updated the shield software to the new version and seem to have lost the 'home' button functionality in flirc (using Harmony 1). Any ideas on how to get it back? Currently using Flirc Shield Tv and Kodi profiles combined for different functions. thanks

For a few years I've really enjoyed using my Flirc SE and it's like the perfect companion to my htpc! Just love it. Unfortunately since yesterday since I did some maintenance to my htpc it stopped working, in an odd way. So what's so odd about it? well it still records remote ir signals when I point at it, and it still gets recognised. I recently bought my 1st Flirc USB and I haven't been able to get it to work. Before pairing a remote, I upgraded the firmware. Using the Flirc GUI I've been able to pair my remote with Flirc. The GUI says "recorded successfully" when paring a key. After pairing the remote, I don't know what to do next. It seems the Flirc device should be useable at this point but nothing happens when I try to use it. Everything seems normal inside the Flirc GUI but outside that, I'm not seeing any keypresses.
