Hello I bought Flirc recently. I have Samsung TV, AVR Denon and Nvidia shield 2018 Flirc Works well but can not cope with the exclusion of Nvidia Shield. It looks like: In my Harmony 700, I press the button: All off Samsung TV turns off AVR Denon switches off Nvidia shield turns off After about 15 seconds, Nvidia Shield turns on again. I do not know why this is happening? Any idea?

Hi friends, I just bought the Flirc USB dongle to use on my new MacBook Pro TB without the IR receiver and to keep on using my old white Apple remote. I also have Remote Buddy installed. But how can I assign the "Menu" Button on the remote to have the exact function as ever? I thought there would be an Apple Remote scheme, but unfortunately not. The basic scheme gets close, but "back" unfortunately is not "menu". For example I would need the menu button to start the Remote Buddy Menu. thanks nikka

I have set up the first gen Flirc on my Shield tv... Controls shield, receiver, tv etc.. Working well, just a bit laggy/delay within menus. I've played around with the delays withing Flirc advance options tried all delays from 1 to max. I found 5 works best but it still has a slight delay after pressing button for it to register within kodi.. I was wondering if the latest gen Flirc would help with this? My remote is a Logitech Harmony Touch. Thanks for any info!

I am able to set up simple single keypresses to my Flirc (using a 2nd gen Apple TV remote at the moment) but I would like to set up long presses of the remote to do different things but these require multiple keypresses. I have set up Harmony remotes for myself and friends, and have used software to program Logitech, Corsair, Razer and Belkin keyboards and mice, but I cannot get the Flirc (Windows GUI) to save long presses or multiple keypresses. Is there a tutorial on using the software to do these things? Perhaps a Youtube user who has made advanced tutorials? The FAQ on this site is useful for basic things but does not show how to do what I would like. Thanks…

Would I be able to use 2 different Flirc's one for Firetv and a different one for a Roku? And control both with my Harmony One Advanced.

Flirc doesn't repeat any keys when held down with this remote. Anyway to fix this? The interkey delay isn't part of the interface anymore.

Been using Global Cache IP2IR with Homeseer for all my A/V devices. Now I got a new FLIRC to use with my Nvidia Shield TV. So far this is what I did: 1) Got the Nvidia Shield TV codes from Global Cache library. 2) Connected the FLIRC to my Nvidia Shield TV 3) Have one of my IP2IR IR emitters beside the FLIRC 4) Tried to send the code via Homeseer Global Cache Pro plugin but nothing happens

Alright, I'm using FLIRC with my Android Shield TV and it works flawlessly. Only thing I'm missing is the volume up/down/mute buttons which I'd like to bind to my OneForAll remote. Is this possible somehow? The flirc interface on windows only lists the basic buttons, and I know the actual shield buttons are only activated via motion. Thanks

The download page only gives you the latest version. 3.20 crashes on my Mac OSX Yosemite install. Thankfully I had an older version saved but where can we find specific versions? 3.20 crashes and 3.1 which I reverted to runs fine but doesnt "detect" my metal dongle. Button presses do register though. Can't even firmware update. Halp.

I own the Shield TV 16GB 2nd Gen and the Shield TV Pro 2nd Gen (I'm not using the Flirc with the Pro as it has a built-in IR receiver). I struggled for some time to properly set up the Flirc and Harmony 650 but have found a solution that has worked for me. This is what works for me: Run the MyHarmony app. Add the device: Manufacturer: Nvidia Model: Shield The MyHarmony app will ask if it is the NVIDIA SHIELD TV. Tell it "Yes" and you should see a full array of options for the buttons. Program the MyHarmony remote's activities and buttons as desired. Adjust the Shield TV's "start"…

Is it possible to use the built in Nvidia Shield profile for flirc, but then add additional key presses as well? My goal is to leverage all of the tweaking that has been done by the flirc team/community to get the Shield working right, but then supplement additional key presses to control mythtfrontend (similar to Kodi). It feels like this should be straight forward, but I can't figure out how to do it.

Hi there, I've updated my flirc to v3.2.2 and I don't see the interkey delay option any more. Scrolling in the Windows 10 x64 start menu with the arrow keys is now too fast and I don't see a way to adjust for it, is this possible to fix? Kind regards, Darius

What I want to do is, I want to use extended Android Keycode which is not allocated standard Android. I cant customize Android software of the STB. My understanding is, Flirc sends HID USB Keycode via USB, then Android firmware convert it to Android Keycode. I'm using Home Theater Master MX-500 universal remotes with Amazon Fire TVs (v2) and Xiaomi MiBox 3's. One app we're using on both is the Channels client app. A couple of functions, commercial skip and last channel are handled by rapid key-presses (D-pad "right" and "enter," respectively). We can't key them consistently. So I was thinking "Hmmm... Flirc macros." What I'd hoped to be able to do is have the remote's "next chapter" (>>|) cause the Flirc to emit two D-pad "right"s and the "previous chapter" (|<<) to emit two D-pad "enter"s, but I want the D-pad's "right" and "enter" to function normally. I just bought a Flirc (v2) because it said "works with any remote", which would mean that I could use my old MCE remote that I can't find drivers for anymore, but no luck. I can see things happening in the debug window and the gui reacts when I map buttons, but nothing else seems to notice the remote. Kodi doesn't react, no output in notepad etc. Am I missing something? Is the remote too old (I tried the remote for my projector, same thing happens), despite the tag line? Is something else wrong? Hi Im new to flicr and eventually want to use flicr with a python application on a raspbyberry pi that reads keyboard input. Im using an xbox one controller with the full keyboard layout. At the moment, Im a little stuck because while I have assigned the values to each key in the flirc application on windows, there does not seem to be any means to test in the application that the keys have been assigned. If i open a dos window on the pc or microsoft words, shouldnt' I see those key values appear when i press the keys ? Once I know that the keys work correctly in windows, I can then move onto testing with the raspian on the raspberry pi. Any h…

Have just had to reinstall Ubuntu 16.04 on my NUC and now my Flirc has problems with controlling Kodi. The major one is I now have no control using Play and Pause. The other seems to be in regards to speed of the actions. They are way to fast and skip over say going from Videos to Movies they go to TV shows.Have redone the Play and Pause buttons on the Flirc software. Have tried adjusting the speed in the advanced tag but this seems to have little effect. Have reinstalled the Flirc software. Hello, When I regrade a movie and I press on the button "exit" of my remote harmony ultimate I return to the homepage of kodi. Since today it does not work anymore. When I press "exit" it gets me out of the "fullscreen" video. Can not go back to the kodi homepage. Can you help me please? Thank you

In trying to achieve additional functionality with an Android TV/Amazon FireTV app called "Channels," one of the devs suggested the following: flirc_util record_api 2 0 156 flirc_util record_api 2 0 157 That doesn't behave normally with flirc_util version 3.20.3 on my Linux Mint 17 (Qiana) MATE machine. The app developer wrote back "There’s supposed to be a third undocumented prefix parameter but it’s not working. I’ve reached out to the flirc dev about it." Anybody here have any clues as to what this is all about? (Lord, this is horrible forum software :(.)

Happy user here, but want to clarify what I've learnt before I apply that to my friends system. When I originally was fooling around with my system, I achieved a perfect result. At some stage I erased the flirc (model 1) and while my setup is good there's a small glitch occasionally. My system is Flirc in an NVidia Shield (plus other unrelated stuff), controlled by a Harmony 650. The Harmony thinks it controls a Flirc-Kodi and Flirc-Shield, amongst other things which gets the job done. My problem is the "Shield home/menu" button. Hi, I'm using a Harmony 650 and I'm wondering if the customize option on the "Watch TV Activity" on the 650 where it sets up a Power on and power off actions, if under the Flirc Media player ,the "Action" = "Power On" or "Action" = "Power off" are two separate signals? Or is it the same signal and it's just used like a toggle to turn PC off if on and on if off. I'm trying to allocate the Flirc/HTPC power on and power off commands to 2 distinct buttons. But if they are the same signal i will not be able to map them through the Flirc. It will say button already allocated.
