Every flirc_util command I type is prefaced with over 400 lines of irrelevant messages. Most lines start with

[V] lib/libtransport/hic.c

Finally after giving the info (e.g. version number) you'll see lib/libflirc/flirc_driver.c fl_close_device.. closing device, freeing device.

What do I need to do to get this back to the standard output without all of the extras?

Running on Raspberry pi with latest version of the OS.
