I've had my Flirc for about 3 days now and can not get my Harmony 650 to control my FireTv at all. I've gone through quite of few posts on here with the various suggestions and steps on how to get this to work and still can't get it working. I'm familiar with adding a device to my the Harmony 650 which I've done successfully with all my other components but every configuration I've tried to get my Fire TV working with the Harmony is just not working. The posts I've read so far sounded pretty straight forward but have gotten me now where, am i missing something? Hey guys. Just got myself flirc SE. Where have you been all my adult life! got it all wired up to my motherboard and working. Did a straight forward setup with my new Harmony 950 remote. Put the HTPC in complete power off and when I hit the power button it wakes the pc up. Great! Problem I have, if I point any remote in that direction and hit the power button on the remote it will now turn the PC on. Example. Press the power button on my samsung TV remote to turn TV on also turns on PC. Can we setup Flirc SE to only recognise power on button from a harmony remote? HNY btw.

I am really having a hard time getting flirc to work with my Harmony Elite remote and PS4. I set up the Harmony with the PS4 and when i get into the Amazon or plex app the remote does nothing! I see different posts of getting the fliric to work with the PS4 and the Elite remote and i can not get it set up. I understand i have to manually turn on the PS4 but i want to control it from my harmony once i get into Amazon and Plex Apps. I'm hoping this is possible.I remember a few years ago i had the PS3 and had the first version of the flirc and it was easy to set up. This is giving me fits. It's been several months since I setup Flirc with the Kodi on a WIndows PC and Harmony Elite so my memory is very foggy. I just got a new PC and thought that it would be as easy as simply plugging the Flirc into the new PC and it would work. I had also tried installing the new Flirc Windows version on new PC and choosing the Kodi Controller. So I have learned that is not the case. In case it matters the Device Name within Kodi on the old PC is XBMC, but on the new PC is it Kodi. Would someone please explain how I can get this to work with new PC?

OK Guys. I was super excited by my FLIRC and decided to dedicate a review to it when I noticed that the older Fully clear version was no longer on amazon. So I found the new revision here on Flirc.tv and ordered one to compare. While it looks great but I am having issues. I updated the firmware on both and the software to newest as of today and what is happening is I cannot get key repeat to work with the new receiver. The old receiver works great for arrow keys and page up/down to scroll through lists as well as to adjust volume using my Emotiva XDA-2 remote. I have an Amazon Echo paired with a Harmony Hub. I want to use Echo to tell Harmony to turn on my PC, and also to shut it off. I got the Flirc for that reason. However, I am limited with the things that Flirc can do. I can only setup Flirc as Kodi/XBMC in Harmony. This is an issue because Kodi has limited commands. Ideally I want to be able to run command "CRTL" and "F6". I was thinking I needed to setup Flirc as a keyboard. However, Flirc does not setup correctly as Windows MCE Keyboard. I have searched everywhere, and have yet to find one person with my similar situation. Can anyone help?

Does anyone have a CFG that they can post for an Android TV Box? I just bought the Xiaomi Mi box and a Harmony 650 remote and the BACK and HOME keys do not work. Thanks

I know someone will have an answer on this forum and I'm hoping this is fairly simple. I am adding my computer with flirc to my harmony link. I turn on my activity and it all turns on correctly. My computer is always on but when my receiver is turned off and then back on after awhile and sometimes immediately, my receiver displays not supported on the receiver screen. If I turn it back off and hit the remote I use, whether on the keyboard or generic looks like Logitech clam style Dinovo Mini it connects just fine. Also, if I hit a key on the computer before the pioneer turns on it handshakes perfectly. Mind you I don't have my computer sleep at all. It is balanced …

Hello, I'm using Flirc until this morning and I don't find how to use the equivalent of "right click" on the interface. This command is used to "mark as read", "remove", or other option. I think it's "Menu" because used for many commands. Could you help me please ? Thx in adv

Some time ago I purchased an Amazon Fire TV and Flirc USB primarily to use with the Playstation Vue service. While I was very familiar with the Harmony 650 there were no instructions with the Flirc so it was an exercise in discovery to figure out how to program the remote to work with it. This is my first day the the Flirc, and I'm using it with my Home Theater Master universal remote. Some of the buttons I programmed don't work as expected, i.e.; when I press the button I programmed off the keyboard layout "C' for a context menu, it doesn't bring up a context menu, it takes you back a screen. I noticed that Libreelec has a setting for the brand of keyboard used - what brand is closest to what the Flirc emulates? Generic 102-key or something else? Hi guys, I am using an Xbox One media remote w/Flirc to control my Windows 10 Kodi HTPC. Everything is working well, but the Xbox One still responds to the button presses on the remote and eventually will turn itself on (which is what I don't want to happen). Is there a way to "unpair" the remote w/ my Xbox One? I only want the remote to control my Kodi box. Thanks!

Hi, I love the concept of the product however it doesn't seem to be responding as I expected.. I am using a mini credit-card size windows media remote and was trying to map it to the Flirc, and there were some issues. The up and down buttons sync ok, left and right seem to, I set the back button, and some others.. but when I get Windows Media center open on the screen, the up arrow scrolls up, the down arrow scrolls up, back does nothing, the button for play/pause cannot be set because on your configuration there is a play, and a separate pause, and often when I try to map a key, the software tells me "that key already exists" when I have not set it yet. Hello all, I'm trying to use two flirc with a single remote (harmony). I have one flirc setup via harmony as a media center pc -> flirc kodi device. The flirc for that harmony profile is using built in profile of kodi via flirc software. The second flirc is setup in harmony as media center pc -> flirc firetv and is not using built in profiles in flirc software but is setup as fire tv remote. I can control each device but the actions are duplicated. So when I navigate in the fire tv menu I'm also navigating the kodi box. How does one avoid the IR cross talk? I have been trying to program a remote for Kodi running under Ubuntu 14.40 There seems to be a genuine dearth of documentation on the Flirc so I finally gave up asking questions and started working with it. The only real Flirc problem is the backspace key on the keyboard. For some wired reason no matter how this one is programmed it seems to always come up 'ESC' Since I am dealing with Kodi this really doesn't make much difference as the 'ESC' key works the same as the backspace in most instances. I am starting to setup flirc and a harmony 650 remote. I have the flirc software installed and have gone to myharmony and setup the remote (new device (flirc and XBMC)). When I setup the remote, and the new device (oh, also updated the firmware). I am stopped until I can get some of these questions answered as I don't want to screw anything up (I am VERY good at screwing stuff up <G>) The inference was that once I had done all of that everything was good to go. It is very difficult to get this IR dongle to work without support and good documentation so I believe that at least as a "must have", for the people who bought the gadget to have a way to use de flirc_util for a manual firmware upgrade. Needing to replace iMon with Flirc, using my Harmony one. Harmony currently uses the MCE-1039 (Media Center Remote) profile in my Harmony .In the Harmony One I can find for Manufacturer Flirc these devices: FireTV, Plex,Kodi(XBMC). I can not locate a MCE-1039, or Media Center Profile. Which one do you suggest?

Hey guys, loving flirc so far. I've been setting up my HTPC and I've got a Harmony Home Control remote that I've been using. One of the nice features with this remote is the long press option. I've tried mapping my 'Exit' button on the remote to do two different functions on short vs. long press but every time I try to map both I get an error that the button already exists. Does flirc support that at all, or am I stuck not being able to use a long press option? Thanks everyone. Edit: It looks like other buttons work with long press, but the exit one doesn't. I want to designate one button in my remote to toggle flirc. When I press it, flirc becomes active and when I press it again it stops interpreting keys until I hit it again. Is this possible? The reason I'm doing this is because I'm trying to use my TV remote to work with flirc and the media buttons work on other apps on my TV. So If I'm watching youtube on TV, I don't want my htpc (flirc) to interpret the media buttons.

I use an app called Irule to control devices in my house. I am waiting on a Flirc to use with either Plex home theater or Plex media Player. Irule has a builder/designer which contains IR codes for Plex.
