Hello, I have a Logitech K700 keyboard (from my Logitech Revue Google TV) that I am going to be using as my keyboard/mouse for my new HTPC. There is a thread on the Autohotkey forums here that uses custom scripts with Autohotkey to add functionality to the K700 keyboard. Before I install the software and attempt this custom script, I'm wondering if anyone knows if using Autohotkey on the "real" keyboard will impact my Flirc unit at all? I don't want any conflicts to mess with it. I may interested in using Autohotkey for the Flirc at some point in the future as I work on switching between WMC and either XBMC and MB3, so I want to see if anyone has any experience …

I have been through these forums all day and I feel like I am still missing something. I connected my Flirc USB to my Windows 7 box and installed the GUI, then forced the firmware update to v2.2. This failed once and the GUI just hung for about an hour. I closed and finally got the firmware to update to v2.2. Next I connected to myharmony.com and added the Flirc and XBMC profile and set up the activity to switch my Sony Reciver to the proper HDMI and my TV to the proper input and ofcourse use the Flirc XBMC device. I synced and then plugged in the USB and rebooted the Raspbery Pi sporting the RaspBMC OS. I then tried to use the remote and it would not work. S…

downloaded the Windows GUI 1.0.5 and installed it on my HTPC (Windows 7 64 bit, FLICR connected through a USB 3.0 port). The GUI installed fine,but it showed the FLIRC status as disconnected. The driver in device manager shows 6.1.7600.16385 with a date of 2/28/2012. I've tried removing both the drivers from the system (via device manager) and uninstalling/reinstalling the GUI. I've also tried the Zadig tool as noted in the forum post on the topic. Still no luck. Any ideas?

Just sharing my experience since it cost me 2 hours to figure out a proper configuration: I use an Harmony 650 and a FLIRC receiver to control my computer. When I switch to the activity "watch a movie", I want my Harmony/FLIRC to do: - WIN+P - RIGHT - ENTER in order to activate dual screen on the TV. For that, I added a personnalized sequence to the activity. The sequence played manually was working fine (thus no pbl of button configuration), but nothing happened when the Harmony was playing it automatically. I just got my Flirc and set it up using the Flirc Profile in the Logitech Harmony One Software for Harmony One. Everything is working great! Even the context and the info menu which was a huge issue for me! I need to configure three more command but I'm not sure how to do them. - Launch XBMC - Close XBMC - Shutdown PC How do I go about doing them? I don't see many updates on this topic since the profile was released in the summer . Hiya, New to Flirc, upgraded device (tried to anyway) to RC4 and it failed locked up during firmware upgrade... removed beta software, re-installed stable and now just trying to get it working again. Hi everyone.. I have a harmony remote and i paired almost all keys to flirc.. Now i there's a broken key (checked inside, pcb is damaged) and i would delete that key to pair it to another one.. problem is.. how can i delete one single key without formatting and re-pairing all working keys? say i want to delete key 657E45BF without pressing the button.... how can i achieve that??? flirc_util.exe delete, doesn't accept a key as parameter... please help! thanks a lot

Hi, I've been using my Harmony One + flirc + Mediaportal for some time now and it worked great. I'm now beta testing some software, and I'm struggling to get the flirc to work with it. I reprogrammed the keys to be the Windows Media Center device (which is what the software is supposed to work with), and navigation and enter key works, but the transport controls (PLAY/PAUSE/RW/FW/STOP) don't work. Using my Logitech Dinovo Mini keyboard, the STOP, RW/FW work with the software, so my question is, what keyboard commands do the Logitech keys convert to if any?

Hi, is it possible to trigger a script of some sort directly from Flirc without the use of some xbmc keymap.xml edditing? i like to execute something without xbmc "waking up" i run xbmcbuntu. How is Flirc "connected" to the system? does it act like a keyboard? i already asked in Ubuntu forums, not a real direct answer. maybe if i understand how flirc "talks" to the system, i can look for a simple program that might do the job.

Hi all! Tearing my hair out here... I've tried my FLIRC in 4 different pcs and also in my raspberry pi using the repo and none of the devices recognize that the FLIRC is plugged in for me to look at button assignment etc. All the PCs install the USB stuff and then when it comes to installing the FLIRC I get the windows found the driver but there was a problem contact support from the device provider etc.. I've been through the forum and tried all the stuff listed on here. I've signed the drivers and all that stuff as I initially thought this would be the issue. None of this has worked. I haven't even got any response from the device and my remote as yet …

I read about this issue before, but can't find it anywhere anymore (and don't remember if there was a solution). I finally got everything to work. Yeah, very happy :-) But....there is always a but.... I get my Mediacenter-PC to fall asleep and wake-up using the Harmony smart control remote and Flirc. However, when watching TV, the PC is also waking up almost randomly. I have searched in the device manager in Windows and found that if I disable 'wake-up' for the keyboard, the Flirc isn't responding on the wake-up command either. First off, I love the flirc. It's awesome, and I wish it existed thirteen years ago when I built my first HTPC. I have an issue where there is a conflict or collision with my remote. If I press the up button too fast, it gets interpreted as an enter. In the past, with other products, I've seen this happen when the code for up is something like "0110" and enter is "00110011". I'm a new flirc user, so I don't know how to collect logs to verify this. If this is the case, is there any way to tweak the flirc to deal with this? Or am I left looking for a new remote? I'm struggling to figure how I need to set this up... I have Flirc, Harmony One and Mediaportal (and the list of keyboard commands for Mediaportal) I want to be able to just assign keyboard commands to buttons on the remote - I used to do this through the Harmony software when I used a MCE IR receiver, and used a Media Center Keyboard as the device. My LG TV/remote has very bad CEC support and there is no way to make use of colored buttons (red, green, yellow, blue) so I purchased flirc in order I could make use of those buttons, too. Only using flirc is not working well because remote control triggers TV functions if not in CEC mode so I need to run CEC and Flirc simultaniously. But that's not an issue here. My question is: how can I map for example the red button on my remote to trigger a function in XBMC - through Flirc. i have a xbmcuntu setup for my home theatre pc.i just got my flirc and mostly it works well.im trying to use the file manager to copy files from a flash drive to a usb hard drive.there is no context menu button on the remote.the xbmc wiki says "Select the files that you wish to work with. Hi there. Can some kind soul let me have their activity set up for using a harmony with flirc and xbmc on a htpc. I have: A Sony TV A Yamaha ysp 2200 amp Pc with xbmc I've currently got it set up on an activity which switches the tv on, sets the amp to the right hdmi channel (and TV) but doesn't turn the pc on. If I switch the pc on manually and run xbmc, I then have to click on devices on the remote and select (Panasonic TV) to make the remote work with xbmc - this then stops me being able to adjust the volume on the amp!! Well i have finally got my Flirc today. Might is say first off, Jason & Chris have been excellent and helped me out a lot with obtaining one! Anyway, onto the issue! Basically i have a Harmony One PLus remote to control everything I have the Flirc added as the recommended Panasonic TV profile and this work, BUT only when i go into Devices and then the correct profile on the Harmony remote. If i just go from the 'Current Activity' menu it sends the command to my Main TV which causes it to bring up errors. Is there a way to prioritise which device a command goes to?
