Hi I'm aware that Flirc-SE can turn on the computer from the Off position. I am uncertain how to configure this. I have read various forum threads for other OS e.g. "flirc_util.exe record power" e.g. here http://forum.flirc.tv/index.php?/topic/1887-power-onoff-wont-work-with-flirc-se-and-openeleckodi/ But I cannot work out how to apply similar functionality for my setup. My setup is Flirc-SE on a hackintosh running Mac OS X Yosemite with a no-frills remote control from my amplifier/receiver. I want to send some commands via IR in response to keypresses. I've got a Flirc receiver but am having issues using it to drive things near my TV. The TV is a 50" Plasma. I'm sure it's throwing up interference, but I'm wondering if there's anything that can be done to make things work. All the other devices that receive IR are able to ignore the noise the Plasma TV generates. Is there some way of making Flirc ignore it to?

So here is the use case: 1. Want to control a Fire TV remotely connected to a slingbox. 2. Hi, Just wanted to share my problems getting Flirc to work with a Harmony Elite and hub/blasters. Maybe it can save someone from countless hours of fiddling, which is what I had to do. Setup: - Windows 10 Pro - Flirc Streacom edition - Streacom case in a cupboard - Harmony Elite with hub and blasters - Flirc/Kodi profile in the Harmony software Problem: First, I checked the mapping of the Harmony keys in the Harmony software (they keys were based on Flirc Media Player). Hi All, Hoping you can help, had the mojority of this working before trying to fix something small and now its all broken :( in short I use a windows PC to run kodi and have a logitech Harmony ultimate to do this, My activity is to start TV > Start sound bar > start Kodi Media Centre (used for Kodi when all booted), I have then mapped my guide button on the remote to open Kodi (windows + 1) once its all booted However, when shutting down I would just like the PC to go into sleep this works fine, but when starting again the PC does not wake, I've enabled USB wake in BIOS but not sure what to do on the harmony? any help appreciated Thanks

I´m adding an new with vendor "flirc" and model "Kodi" (since XBMC doesn´t exist any more). When trying to assign buttons i realise that some crucial functions are not available for mapping, for instance "record" or "guide". Apologies if this has been covered before but I searched the forums and couldn't find clear instructions on how to get the Harmony 650 to replicate the long Home button press used on the original remote to access the pop-up menu on the Amazon Fire TV (1st Gen). After much trial and error I finally manged to do this and thought I'd share the process to help anyone else may want to get this working. Here goes... Does anyone have a suggestion to control th FireTv hamburger icon with the Harmony One Advanced soft keys? I have the soft keys setup for return and home and they work. I tried the setup for the FireTv in the main menu under Controllers but still could not get the Hamburger menu to work plus when I'm watching Tv under the "Watch TV" activity the buttons for that I had setup for that activity would bring the FireTv back to life. So that is why I'm trying to setup the "Soft" buttons on my remote.

So I had the Flirc setup and working and now for some reason the Flirc will not control fire tv. It shows all the buttons I have setup in the Flirc softwate as an Amazon remote and the buttons show green when pushed. I uploaded my config file if that will help. I want to assign CTRL + SHIFT + (key) as a long press of a remote button. I have figured out that record_api will allow me to add the CTRL + SHIFT modifier, but that only works to record a short press. How can do record_api but assign it as a long press button? Any help greatly appreciated.

After about 5 years, I found the flirc device again and I am trying to use it but cannot upgrade the firmware. It is on version 4.4.2. The lates gui shows me a pop up with a warning Firmware Upgrade, but it doesn't work. It stays on "Firmware being upgraded..." and never finish. How can I update flirc from old version?

I am trying to setup a Fire TV remote to work with Windows Media Center 10. When I try to program the remote in the GUI, nothing happens. It doesn't seem to recognize the remote at all. What am I doing wrong??

Hi, is it possible to send a long press keyboard signal (like long press F1 or long press ESC) to the attached device with a Flirc V1? To be clear ... I don't want to use log key press on a remote button ... the Flirc device should simulate a long key press on the virtual keyboard. Best regards, Albert

I recently replaced a Roku 2 with a new (2015) Amazon Fire TV and bought Flirc so I could use my Harmony remote (Xbox 360 version). Currently using Flirc with a Harmony 350 remote to control Windows Media Center, and it works well with one exception. With a standard WMC remote, when you hit the OK button on a text field, you get an onscreen keyboard. This doesn't seem to happen with the FLIRC when using the WMC profile. Is there any way to get FLIRC to emulate this behavior, or any other sort of workaround to get a usable on screen keyboard?

I cannot get Flirc to recognize or send/accept "media"command from Harmony Smart remote. I am using Microsoft MCE as the IR database in Harmony. These commands are what i used to train the Flirc . The transport buttons, numbers and up down left and right all work. The media button opens or starts JRiver Media Center. Any advice would be appreciated.

i need help with converting keybord key set scan code into the flirc. i try to search the answer on the internet ,but i didnt find it. by searching the web i found out that the require operation is by the combination fn+F7 (SCAN CODE 165) . on android that should do the home key combnation better then alt+esc. how i attach it to flirc?

I just tried to send a message using your form, but after sending it I saw a message saying "It seems like you are not a human!" However, I never saw a Captcha or other human test so I don't know if you got the message or not!!!! Anyway, I need to return my Flirc because I discovered that I don't need it. Never even plugged it in. I realize that postage is my responsibility. Do I need an RMA to return it? Where do I send it?

So I set up my Harmony 650 with the Flirc -> Shield TV profile, plugged the Flirc into the Shield and ... nothing. So, plugged the Flirc into my PC, updated it to the newest firmware, and confirmed it can receive commands from the remote. Pulled it out of the PC, popped it back into the Shield and....nothing. How do I know the Shield is even recognizing this thing? I get no response, no indication it's plugged in or not, and nothing works. Thanks for any help.
