NEVER MIND 

I found my error.

I had NOT turned ADB bugging OFF on the FireTV.

Once I did the DTV remote works with my FireTV ;^)

I have tried several times to get my FLRIC to pair up so my DirecTV Remote model RC66RBX can operate my FireTV. 
But all attempts have failed with none of the paired buttons on the DTV remote being able to mimic the buttons on the FireTV remote.

All updates on the FLRIC have been done.
This is the sole reason I bought the FLRIC. So unless I can get this to work I will need to return the FLRIC.

    1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
    2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
    3. Adjust your preference.
