I am having the issue whereby my Play & Pause buttons on my Harmony Companion remote don't work in Flirc. I've erased them and re-recorded them a 100 times now, and they never begin working. All other keys on the remote generate a respective green key press flash in the Flirc GUI, except Play & Pause. They used to work fine, and unfortunately I don't know what changed to stop them working :-( The PC is running Win10 x64 21H1. Here is my device log output after re-recording the two keys: Mon May 31 2021 16:50:54 Flirc GUI Version v3.25.3-15-gc366d26+ Operating System: Windows *** Device Disconnected *** …

I'm having trouble with the setup from the title. When I launch the GUI, the app seems to recognise when Flirc is connected. If I open Device log and check "Enable IR Debugging" it seems that the keypresses from my remote (One for All URC 7935) seem to be registering with Flirc. However, I am not able to record any buttons. So far I tried clearing the configuration, loading embedded firmware (I'm on v4.9.3), giving it Accessibility/Input Monitoring permissions in System Preferences, and plugging it into a different USB hub. None of it helped. Could this all be the fault of Rosetta/Flirc app not being compatible with the new silicon? Or am I missing somethin…

I have been trying to get my FLIRC working with an MCE remote to interface to an older (non-MCE) app and have found the following. I go into the GUI, clear the configuration and uncheck all of the Build in Profiles (Side note: After exiting and restarting the GUI I sometimes find some or all of the Built in Profiles are now checked. Multiple retries will finally get them all unchecked). I then confirm using Notepad that none of the numeric keys on the remote are sending any commands. I return to the GUI and using the Full Keyboard controller, I map the "a" key to the "1" button, "b" key to the "2" button ...... "j" key to the "0" button. I return to Notepad to con…

Hi there, just another problem with Flirc dongle. Tried different combinations, none of them working. On Mac OS X 10.11.6 and Flirc GUI 3.20.4, it says "Disconnected". Tried native USB ports, as well as powered and unpowered USB hubs. Doesn't matter, still says "disconnected". I tried downloading a slightly newer version of the GUI, 3.22.4, supposedly for Mac OS X 10.10+. It doesn't launch at all. Does Flirc ever test their software? Of course, the dongle is properly detected by Mac OS X System Information panel. Finallly, I tested the dongle on a Windows computer, as I remember it working before on Mac OS X, and a DVD playing responded to the arr…

I'm super excited about your product letting me keep the old Harmony. I also love that you are a small start-up company. I have my Flirc plugged in to the FireTV stick rev2 via the proper cable and configured with my Harmony 700. Great product! It works well so far. Would totally recommend it. Unfortunately though, I cannot launch this Mac GUI application to check for updates. Maybe I am missing something? On flirc.tv I click on Downloads and then Mac. I am only presented with one option for download. I checked the T&C checkbox and downloaded the .dmg and mounted the image. Of course Mac OS says "not a recognized developer" which is understandable. I w…

After getting past the virus warning from downloading the Windows GUI .exe, I tried everything I could find to get the flirc USB/software to work including using the "Zadig" utility to update driver, updating to the latest GUI version and reupdating with Mr Zadig. It simple hangs when clicking on anything. I've got Windows 10 Pro that is pretty stable... ok very freaking stable... never had a problem like this. Judging from the other posts, I'm guessing there will be no response to my problem and I'll have to use more of my precious quarantine time (enough with that) to send it back to Amazoney. Why are your RPi cases so awesome but the USB remote is not? Maybe there…

Hello, I own a V1 flirc - tried getting it working today after a long time in a drawer but its showing as Disconnected on the GUI. I've read some of the previous forum posts, doesn't look like a fix is available yet but any assistance in helping to get it working would be most appreciated!

I have the current gen Flirc USB that I've been using for a while without any issues. However recently I decided I wanted to adjust the programming, and while I was in the Flirc GUI I decided to do a firmware update. At some point during the update it just hung, and I had to restart the software. Now when I reopen the GUI it always says the device is disconnected (and the GUI is suuuuper slow to respond to anything). I was on v3.22.x of the software but I did an update and am now on 3.25.3, but it still doesn't work. I tried using the Zadiag method to update the device to the libusbk driver (v3.0.7.0) and Zadiag successfully installs the driver but when I restart the…

Went to redo my Flirc configuration as I've moved from a FireTV to a Shield. Was prompted to update firmware, which I did, then got a message that said I have a newer firmware than software supports. The message stated v.3.110 on device and V3.9.0 GUI supported, but at the top of the GUI it was reporting 3.22.4. But when I attempt to download software (v.3.22.4 from one link, v.3.25.3 from another) they are both reported as having a virus. I'm on Win10 FWIW. Any suggestions? Thanks. BTW, posted this previously in General section, then realized GUI bugs is probably more appropriate.

I had a working Flirc configuration based on a (FL-09028, original Gen1?) USB Flirc dongle purchased in 2014 that had been successfully programmed using the Flirc GUI v1.3.6 (don't know what firmware that would represent) and running under MacOS 10.9.5 on a Mac Mini used as an HTPC. Had not done any Flirc reprogramming since 2015 until this week when I got my new Harmony Remote and launched Flirc to do some updates and testing. Unfortunately agreed to the Update dialog and now Flirc GUI v3.8 crashes on launch. Crash log shows Thread 0 Crashed:: Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread 0 libsystem_kernel.dylib 0x00007fff86d76866 __pthread_kill + 10 1…

Hi there, I tried to set up FLIRC for use with Kodi 18.4 on a Raspberry Pi 3 B+. No matter which remote control or buttons I use (one for all essence 4 or Humax RC-539), I always get the same result. The issue relates to the keys volume up, volume down, previous track and next track. When trying, the volume up/down and the next track never work, the previous track reacts as volume up. Flirc GUI Version: v3.24.0 SKU: Flirc 2.0 [dori] Git Hash: 0xfbe1df37 Is it an error in the Kodi profile or in the firmware/software? Kind regards, Christoph

I am unable to get the Flirc GUI to recognize the dongle on my HTPC. When I try to map the keys, the GUI asks me to "Please connect flirc" and displays the disconnected Flirc face. I have tried plugging Flirc into both USB 3 and USB 2 ports, but neither change the outcome. Flirc is recognized in the Device Manager, but a second (new) device under "Keyboards" does not appear when the dongle is plugged in (see first attached image); the HID Keyboard Device listed is that of my actual USB keyboard/mouse - not the Flirc. What's weird is that Flirc is recognized as an HID Keyboard Device in the "Devices and Printers" screen (see second attached image). I have also tried the …

Hi all, I recently purchased a Flirc v2 to get more functionality out of my Philips TV/Remote when controlling my mediacenter. I use the controller in Full Keyboard mode. I noticed my TV remote seems to modulate a few sets of IR commands per key press...but i recorded them all and now it works fine. But! Im running my mediacenter on 1920x1080 resolution and the flirc GUI does not seem to fit this resolution! Therefore the Erase and Go buttons as well as the status bar can not be seen. Can this be fixed please? Luckily i only programmed a single wrong key so far (which i can not delete now).

I'm attempting to run the Flirc GUI version 3.20.2 on Linux (Ubuntu) on my first generation Flirc. The log says that I need FW of >= 4.1.0. If I try to upgrade (File->Advanced->Force FW Upgrade) it says that my current FW version is 3.9.0 and that the latest firmware version is 3.9.00 I don't wish to risk messing up the stored key settings if the upgrade isn't going to work. Is the GUI message wrong or is the version it is going to install too old?

I downloaded the latest version from your download page, installed, not fixed as per post I found on this forum where another member was told to get the latest version. No matter which USB port I use, whether USB 2 or 3, says "disconnected", and the GUI hangs (not responding). I bought this last month but didn't use it until now because I built my HTPC today and now I cannot return it. Has the developer/maker of this product given up on it? Is it still supported?

Hi all, Trying to get this setup on a new MSI Cubi running Windows 10 Home 64-bit and the software (2.0.0) only says the Flirc is disconnected. I have reinstalled the software several times, rebooted, tried all of the other USB ports (all 3.0), uninstalled the device and drivers, updated the driver manually, updated the driver to 3.0.7.0 via ZADIG, but no luck with anything. Under Device Manger, both the flirc and the HID Keyboard Device show up without any issues, but the software just insists that it is not connected. I have another WIndows 10 laptop and the issue is exactly the same on that system as well. What can I do?

Hello Flirc Team, i bought some time ago a flirc device. After a couple of months now i want to use it on my new HTPC, but the GUI say "Disconnected"... I tried different USB2 and USB3 slots, my Laptop and my main PC. Everywhere the same problem. The device manager looks normal. On top of that my hardware looks different, is there an new hardware version out and the old one not supported anymore? Thank you for helping!

Hi all, I am using my Flirc SE on an easyvdr distribution which is based on a Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS. Installation is a no-brainer, and the command line works fine. The only thing is that there is no menue bar on the GUI. Please see the attached screenshot. Any good Idea on how to get the menu bar back again? I have no issues on any of my other, newer Ubuntu PC's. This appears when I start Flirc from console [W] gui/Flirc/src/main.cpp log_setup(131): flirc.ini not in the default location[E] gui/Flirc/src/device_log.cpp update_fields(139): updating fields, present: 0 [E] lib/libflirc/bootloader/bl_2.0.c fl_ver2_product_type(526): unknown or unsupported variant…

Flirc GUI Version: v3.20.3 on Linux Mint 17 (Qiana) MATE Trying to do some reprogramming. When I try to erase a given button, I click "erase", then the button I want erased, and get "Erasing cancelled". The erase does not occur, as confirmed by trying to learn something else on that button. Whereas if I File -> Clear Configuration I can. So, it appears to be the only way to change a mapping is to clear the entire config and start over?

I'm trying to use some of the functions in flirc_util.exe to try to get a list of the HID codes that I've previously programmed, but I'm getting weird outputs that seem to be errors. These were recorded mostly with the command line tool using record_api, in order to record HID keys that the GUI doesn't seem to make available. The keys themselves work just fine, I just want to remember which codes I used so I can switch to a new remote. A fresh install on High Sierra doesn't launch. An old one on another computer was working until I upgraded it, and now it too has the same issue. Seems like Sparkle is borked, but I'm a pilot, not a programmer. I backtracked to v3.9.12 , same issue. I had an old Flirc module in my drawer for long (>years). Now that I hooked it up and launched the latest Flirc App (3.1.0), I get a "Firmware Version Unsupported, You have newer firmware version than this software supports" error. I have tried this under Win10, Win7 and Ubuntu and all the same. Is it possible that firmware numbering has changed and I have some firmware from the long past on the module which has a higher version number than current? Edit: on the bottom left of the GUI the stated firmware version is v255.9.0
