Hello Jason I Hope you are Well. Since everything has been working well I have not Opened the Skip 1s App for a while, however, I had a need to Open it and I have a Problem. When I Open the App it says that there is an Update but all I see is a Black Square in the Middle of the Screen, I have attached a Screenshot. I have no idea what Version I am on as, if I Close the Black Window and go yo About, in the Bottom Left all that is shown is another Black WIndow. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance Kevin

Hello! I need help as I am extremely frustrated. When I bought my Skip 1S Universal Remote Control, I could connect it to my Linux machines just fine, and was able to program them. However, when I recently got a new TV and would have liked to reprogram the remote, I cannot get the AppImage to see that my remote is connected on either of my Linux Mint machines. I am using v. 0.9.993 of the AppImage on Linux Mint Xia on both computers. It simply doesn't see the remote. I have tried uninstalling Steam as some of the other forum topics have suggested, yet it worked with Steam installed before. Please help.

Hello, First of all, I really like the remote. It has replaced (for the most part) my dying Harmony One. I do have one issue I'd appreciate some help with. The Smart Activity Switching is not working very well with my (older) Sony receiver (STRDG-920). For whatever reason, I needed to make all of the receiver commands repeat at least 3 times, or they would not be recognized. This works fine when I initially turn an activity on (the receiver turns on, and the proper input is selected). However, when I switch to a different activity, most of the time, the input switch does not work (it only worked a handful of times in the last 6+ months). Is it because the Smart …

I’ve recently purchased the Skip 1s and have successfully set it up and it’s great so far! However, the one issue I’d like to sort out if possible is on multi-stop actions. I set up one of the buttons to perform several button presses on my projector to put it in audio-only mode. This function works when the button is pressed, however there is about a 1 second delay between each step which makes it a bit tedious to use, and doing it manually by simply pressing all those buttons works much faster. I am wondering if I can reduce that delay between steps. I have tried changing the delay option on the steps from 1s to 0s, but it just reverts back to 1s every time I…

Using version 0.9.995.10457 on Mac OS 26.2, apologies if this isn't the correct place to report them: The activity summary window says 'does everything looks okay' but it should be 'does everything look okay' In the Buttons Panel section, when there are lots of buttons present no scrollbar appears. The scrollbar can be seen on the Tips section (e.g. when I click on the 'Advanced Editing' option to expand it) so they do work in other places in the app. If a button with a really long caption (e.g. 'Power On and Set Input to Component 1 or Video 1') is added to the Power Up section, the last bit of the text can be seen in the Power Down section. Hi All, After upgrading firmware my remote has started to freeze/close and the only way I have found to it get going again is to remove battery. Is there anyway of resetting, without battery removal ? and Is there a log file of some description that would give me an indication of what's causing it. Hello I am trying to Learn the Remote for the EE TV Pro Set Top Box. When I try and Learn a Button, I get an Error stating that 'Internet is needed for Remote Control Learning', 'Were unable to Reach our Servers'. The PC I am using is Connected to the Internet and I am able to Access Websites with no Issues. Firmware: 4.13.11.0 Software: RC 0.9.992 Any suggestions? Thanks in advance Kevin

I have set up an activity with a tv, Denon amp & Beyonwiz media player which usually works. Obviously the Beyonwiz is the controlling device. My question is, Every now & again the Denon amp doesn't power on, So how am I supposed to access the Denon remote to power on ? As it only has power toggle, if I close down that just starts it up, so all out of sync. 2nd question is what are the led lights & the home button for, As far as I can tell they do nothing ? I cant find anything documentation explaining these I would appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction.

Was very interested to purchase this remote until I saw a review said it needs to connect to the cloud just to learn IR codes from a remote. Its been well over 9 months with no word about bundling this functionality (which shouldn't ever need to connect to a server in the first place IMO) to the app.

Overall quite happy with the remote, does what I hoped it could (I have replaced the smarts of my TV with a mini Linux Mint PC and this is perfect for that purpose) I note many people have mentioned the inconvenience of having to set the remote buttons to some random thing or other before programming them via the USB software. I can see why that might be, as having a default code for all the buttons would likely lead to some case of accidentally activating some device in the wild, which would be bad. It would be good to explain this maybe in one or both softwares somewhere, maybe have a default profile in the remote app specific for the USB app (with a backup opti…

I haven't been keeping up with the updates and only just found out that IR Learning was finally added. This was one of the big features I wanted but now that I've gone to try it I can't for the life of me get it to work. I go through the setup but once it's time to learn commands I get the error; "We have had an unexpected error. Let's try it again." This happens immediately upon hitting record, I don't even get the chance to press a button on the source remote. I have tried two different computers (Windows 10 and Linux) and with no fewer than 10 different USB cables, it fails immediately every time. Any help with this issue would be mu…

Hello all I want to Add an Activity for the Nintendo Switch 2. The Activity will just Switch On the TV and the AVR and set the Inputs correctly. However, when going through the Wizard it asks which Device is used for Navigation, the Swicth 2 is not available in the 'Add Device' Dialog so what do I Select as I am unable to proceed with the Wizard without selecting something. Can I Select any Device in this instance, i.e. the TV or AVR? Thanks in advance Kevin

I have 3 Skip remotes, 1 for my office, 1 for my living room, and 1 for my bedroom. None of them are connecting or being detected by the Skip software on either Mac or PC. I have tried the supplied USB-C cables for each, as well as 3 other known working USB-C cables. The batteries are installed and each remote lights up with pressing the multi-colored button. Can someone give me a hand here?

Hello Jason Now that I can use the Skip 1s Remote again, Thanks for that, I have a couple of Questions. 1 Is it, or will it be, possible to add a Long Press Action to Remote Keys. A specific use, for myself, is that when I Press 'i' on the Remote I get the Info Window for Plex, however, I would like to Add a Long Press Action to the 'i' Key on the Remote that Triggers the 'Info' Command of my AVR. This is something that I am able to accomplish on the Harmony. 2 I think I read somewhere on here that you were looking at the way that Activity Switching works. I set up using the generic Hisense sound profile in the software, and volume up and down works fine, but the mute option does not. I attempted to just add the remote and program the button, but when I do so, I get a generic error that something went wrong and can't add the buttons manually.... any ideas? I've spent the last year without touching the remote's configuration and been "content" with what I had. However, today I wanted to make some changes, but the app cannot connect to the remote. Where is the configurations store for the Skip 1s remote? Seems like the Skip app "forgot" my remote, and thinks it's new. I don't want to lose all my settings.

I've tried recording my TCL TV remote but it keeps failing to record the buttons - I've tried mute, on/off and 1 and all failed so I gave up. I'm using the Windows desktop app on Windows 11 Pro. I have the remote set up with my TCL TV and a Soundbar, but not all the buttons on the original TCL remote are in the setup app, and there are important buttons missing which I need to add ie. the Settings one so I can adjust picture and sound etc without needing the original remote, and on the Hisense soundbar the Treble adjustment buttons are missing. In looking through the list of "Buttons" that the Skip app can send, it seems to be missing Kodi's native PageUP and PageDOWN support. Are they perhaps called something else? How hard would it be to add them to an upcoming build? This would be really handy when looking a lists of items, and be able to go through them page by page, vs skips limit of item by item.

Hi. I've been successfully using the Skip app for a few months. Today I installed the latest beta and the app crashes a few seconds after opening. I get a blank white screen with the Title Bar showing and then the app crashes. So I can no longer update my Skip remote. Running Windows 11 Home Version 24H2 Version 26100.2033. I've tried Repair and Reset options within Windows settings but to no avail. Any help appreciated.

Hi, I've just started using the Skip app on macOS. After importing my Windows config into the Mac app, every button now seems to have a small glitch next to its name. I've attached a screenshot with an example of one such glitch. I'm using the Skip App v0.9.992-beta on macOS 15.1.1, and the glitches don't seem to affect functionality in any way, but just look out of place. Thanks, Paul.

It's been a while since I have need help, which says a lot about how rock solid this thing is. I have recently made some changes to my setup, but still needed to have my original activity on the remote. I created the new setup conditions under activity B, however, the new setup will be the main usage with the old setup being secondary. I was wondering if there is a way to swap activity designations for the programmed activity so that what is currently on A is now on B and what is currently on B is moved to A?
