November 5, 20241 yr comment_38128 I just picked up a Skip 1. I attempted to connect to it in Windows and it seemed to partially work after installing the extra driver. The app tried to update the firmware and then I could not get the remote to reconnect. I ran the Skip App on a Linux machine and it connects to the remote but the firmware is listed as "undefinedundefined" Using Linux, I get an error as soon as I hit the Sync button. It won't reset to factory. I can't seem to do anything with this remote. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have tried starting the process over in Windows but it still will not recognize the device. I can hear a beep when plugging it in but the software does not see the remote. I am attaching the requested log file. flirc_devicebroker-11_5_2024.log Report
November 8, 20241 yr Author comment_38204 I installed the Skip app on an older Windows box (Windows 10) and was able to get the remote to connect again. It still does not work with my newer Windows 11 laptop. Report
November 9, 20241 yr comment_38224 @Joe Baughman this may be related to the issue I reported in the thread "Skip App crashes on Windows 11 ". Try the software that you can download from the second last post in that thread. Report
