How do I add missing buttons from the original remote to the app?

Featured Replies

I've tried recording my TCL TV remote but it keeps failing to record the buttons - I've tried mute, on/off and 1 and all failed so I gave up.  I'm using the Windows desktop app on Windows 11 Pro.

I have the remote set up with my TCL TV and a Soundbar, but not all the buttons on the original TCL remote are in the setup app, and there are important buttons missing which I need to add ie. the Settings one so I can adjust picture and sound etc without needing the original remote, and on the Hisense soundbar the Treble adjustment buttons are missing.

The TV I'm trying to add buttons for is a TCL 55P755K and the soundbar a Hisense AX5125H.

How can I do this please?  Is there a way of instead of learning the whole remote I can just add certain commands to the already existing  activity and just assign it to an unused button or one I don't need?

Cheers

Whenever I try and record a remote it always fails, I've attached screenshots showing the messages I get for every button I try and record, if I skip I just get the same thing on the next attempt to record a button.

Also, even though the soundbar works ok on activity 2 where it is the only device 9does have 2 buttons missing), when i add it to Activity A Watch TV with just the power button, volume up/down and mute buttons added it doesn't work - I tried with CEC both on and off on the TV.Skip1.thumb.jpg.dde0053426b90fbec6033307749feef3.jpgSkip2.thumb.jpg.0bcd15f4b09589d9545494ed54af291c.jpg.
