My remote seems to somewhat randomly switch back to activity A. I switch to activity B and at some point without me pressing any of the activity buttons it switches back to activity A. I would assume once I select an activity it should stay in that activity until I press another one shouldn’t it? Currently I can reliably reproduce this by pressing activity B. Waiting until the light goes out and then pressing the LED button to light up the ring, this shows activity B as expected. Once the ring goes out if I press the LED button again it now lights up activity A instead.

It's there a list of tv's in a data base somewhere that works with this remote?

Hi, having weird issues. I have the current firmware (4.12.11-4) I have the latest app version via auto update During setup the controls seem to work with the test. but i am unable to control my devices the LEDs on the skip keep randomly coming on (activities and the central wheel) the central wheel when it comes on is 4 colours, one per segment and when i look at the IR window with my phone camera it is pulsing IR every so often, which sometimes is trying to change channel on my STB I have tried a full reset, and a firmware update but no change in the device

Is it possible that Leds Brightness and Leds Timeout do not change when syncing with the remote ? Just sent Leds Brightness 100% to remote + synced and afterwards 0% + synced again and in both cases the leds had the same brightness, same result with 25, 50 and 75%. Same with Leds Timeout, standard on 1s, but they light up for 3s (actually 3,42s starting from pressing the button, with a deviation of 0,03s), when using the remote, same effect here, changing value in to 3s or 0s always light up the leds for 3s. Used 0.9.4 from the site, without errors or sync problems.

I am considering pre-ordering and have a question regarding IR lag. How quickly does the IR blast occur after button press? Can I hold volume up or volume down for rapid repeat of IR blast? TIA!

My remote was kind of working at first, but I was having the issue where it would always switch to activity A. I installed 4.12.8, and now the problem I'm having is that beyond the first button press, the remote just does nothing. No reaction from any button press. I just installed 4.12.10 to see if anything is fixed, but beyond that how can I help debug this?

Just curious but what is the average lead time for new preorders?

I realize that this is a new device and the current software is beta, but as long time Flirc user with multiple Gen1 and Gen2 devices scattered around the building, I expected a better experience or a little more polish as that is what I've been used to. Received my remote last week. Not sure if I'm part of the beta program or a regular kickstarter user. Anyway, initially, I was able to connect the remote to the Windows 11 Skip App 0.9.6 [master]. After that, I really got down to configuring it. I had rebooted my system after the software install like the instructions said. Made initial configuration. Went on to other things and got back to the configuring a day later. Now, each time I start the app, it either immediately closes, or allows me one or two actions and then closes. Just got my Skip 1s, installed latest version of the software (0.9.6) and I've been messing around with it. It works fine for my LG TV (Power, Volume, etc) but I can't seem to get it to work with my Roku Streaming Stick 4K (model 3820X). This is one of those Roku's that plugs directly into the HDMI port and pulls power over a USB cable. I've confirmed that it's IR-based, as all Roku's are from what I can tell (At the least I see it listed in the manual and several other areas on their site). I've added an Activity to the B button, selected Set Top Box and then search for Roku. There are about 6 different models/types, and I've tried all of them to no avail. Anyo…

Hi all, I'm trying to control my Windows PC with Skip 1s and Flirc USB, however I couldn't figure out how to do it. The Skip App doesn't have Flirc USB in the device list, and I tried using the Flirc App but it doesn't recognize most keys on the remote. I also couldn't find any documentation on using Skip 1s with Flirc USB. How can I pair these together?

Hi! Just getting started with my remote. I set up activity A to be for streaming on a Roku, and B as watching TV. The issue I'm noticing is that if I select B to watch TV, let the remote sit for a few minutes, when I pick it back up it's no longer controlling the TV and the activity A light goes on when I hit a button. So it seems like the activity is automatically switching to A. It happens repeatedly. I can't actually get the remote to stay on B. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm trying to control my Sky Q STB from Sky but it only responds to about 1/10 button presses. Controlling my Samsung TV and Sony amp work fine so I'm guessing there must be something different about the Sky interface.

I received my remote yesterday and I have been fidling around a bit, but I don't seem able to make macro's work. It will only start the first configured device and do no more after pressing the power button. For example: Activity A is "watch TV". First I added the setup box and secondly the TV. This will only start the setup box, no matter the order of the macro. The macro also should change the input selection on the TV, this isn't working either. Activity B is "streaming". Has anyone here been successful in setting up the remote to use Kodi? I run Kodi on a Raspberry Pi with LibreElec with an IR receiver attached to it. I am not sure how to set this up with the Skip app. When I use Kodi with Flirc, it does not seem to respond at all when I active the activity.

Hi, I have started to setup an activity to "Watch TV". However, when I power the TV and Soundbar on I need them to change their inputs to the right setting, I can't work out how to do this in the app? Is there anyway to do this? Thanks!

Just received my Skip and am trying to set it up. Got the batteries in, USB cable connected, software downloaded, but it isn't connecting. I named my remote "Home" and it just says "Home is not connected" at the bottom left corner of the app. Was it also supposed to come with a USB dongle? I'm just wanting to use it with Plex so it shouldn't be too bad. Anyone offer any help? Thanks!

Hi, I am using a SkyHD box and never want it to power off when I set an activity. However when I set up the activity it gives me 'Your activity summary' at the end showing that the power toggle will happen for the SkyBox. It say 'Does everything look okay?' to which my answer is 'NO' but I cannot change anything! Any help? Cheers Paul

First, let me give a MASSIVE thumbs down for the battery compartment design. Any battery removal that requires a flat blade screwdriver or similar tool is poorly designed. The batteries won’t shake out and you can’t get your fingers to the position to pop them out (maybe if you have long nails?). Terrible design. Why is this important to me? My remote keeps locking up. Like daily. I have been removing and reinserting the batteries to wake it up and then it works great again, but battery removal is major surgery. I’m going to try replacing the batteries with a fresh pair to see if this solves the lockups, but for the next design iteration, make battery remova…

Is it possible to assign 2 commands to a button, and have it cycle through one command each time it is pressed? My LG has a separate button for pause and play, but the skip only has a play / pause button. Thanks
