The Kodi profile needs chapter buttons. Next chapter is PageUp and previous chapter is PageDown.

  2. Other fora that I use either automatically follow topics I start or they provide an option in the profile settings to turn this behavior on or off. i don't find any way to do this here and must therefore remember to turn on following for each and every one of my posts. Please add one of the two variants mentioned above to the forum software.

I purchased a Flirc about a year ago because I occasionally need to test Xbox media remotes with software I write for Xbox One or Xbox |X|S devices. Since an Xbox in developer mode has an annoying restriction in that most DRM-protected video content will not stream, I often test the software on Windows 10 for a more realistic development environment. With that said, I needed some kind of IR receiver for my PC so it could listen for key presses and decided I would try out Flirc. Unfortunately, I bought the device before realizing that Xbox Media Remotes are not supported. Nonetheless, it seems that the Flirc is able to detect keypresses on these remotes, but it doesn't …

  4. Hi gents I have a corporate request to develop custom feature We need AIO device: Flirc + USB Flash Drive (64-128 GB) Is it possible? What's MOQ? Kindly contact me via email

  5. Hi! I have been a long-time fan of Flirc. One suggestion for a big improvement would be to replace the Full Keyboard Controller with the Logitech K400 Keyboard. The Logitech K400 keyboard has a lot more function keys than the Full Keyboard, including Multimedia control and Home/Menu/Back/Search keys. I have an Nvidia Shield and FireTV, and most of the extra functions on the K400 are recognized by those devices. This gives me many more options for my programmable remote. Please look into this, I bet it would be a very useful enhancement to Flirc in general for a lot of users. Cheers, AzJazz

I would love to see an updated case that makes direct contact with the usb controller as well as the processor. the usb controller puts out quite a bit of heat as well. thank you

  7. TL;DR: Noob requesting advice ?what's a good way to modify a FLIRC Raspberry Pi 4 case that'd contain an always-on Raspberry Pi 4 running nextcloudpi server, attached to an SSD and with a UPS HAT Ability level: monkey-see monkey-do (youtube or good documentation for the layperson). Project progress/existing commitments: purchased RPi4 + FLIRC case. Dear all, I'd like to make a nextcloud server and gradually progress away from the google ecosystem. Ultimately I envisage this would have an off-site mirror, and an off-site backup, with some mechanism to switch between the two mirrors if one went down. I'd like to start in a case which would house a UPS HAT (seeking so…

Hi, can there be a setting so my PC wakes up on any key press from the remote instead of only the 'Wake-key'? I use my Windows 10 PC as an 'Surround Processor' and use the Apple TV remote to control everything. It sends Volume Up/Down through IR to Flirc/PC and controlling the volume. It would be great if I could wake my PC with those Vol up/down keys, so I do not have to think about to turn the PC on with a seperate remote (and make it more wife/kids proof). TIA! BR, Alain

I don't think most people make use of all their USB ports on their raspberry pi. I know I don't and none of my co-workers do. I think a nice product would be a push button switch that turns off (and perhaps on?) the pi. All you would need to do is make a USB dongle that has a button of some sort that indicates the button has been pressed, then do an orderly shutdown. You'd have to make a script of course but that ought to be simple enough. There's an infinite number of ways to implement this, USB->Serial for example. Uncertain about the demand for such a thing or of the cost of manufacturing it though. I'm an engineer, not a market researcher. I'd also …

  10. i have a suggestions for Flirc developers, is possible add support, for use a roku now tv smart stick with infrared remote control with a FLIRC V2 USB ? maybe using the old remote control codes of the first roku models with infrared included, it will be possible to control the roku now tv stick bluetooth via infrared usb flirc v2 connected on otg cable which also powers the stick and have usb (i have attached cable image) , but to do this you definitely need an update of flirc v2 usb it would be very useful to finally be able to use the only universal infrared remote control, instead of the small and impractical bluetooth remote control supplied …

  11. hello, i want to turn on and off my pc using the xbox one elite 2 controller and i am wondering if flirc will help to perform this task? i was told that the xbox one controller has IR built in so there has to be a way. and if it can be programmable, can it be programmed to only turn on pc but not off? or is it automatically programmed to do both?

It would be really nice to allow raw access to the IR sensor instead of just having it as a HID device. This would allow for use with some remotecontrols that the firmware currently has issues with. Also as a nice feature would be having a development-kit for the device to enable firmware development by the more advanced users.

  14. A feature request I've had since buying Flirc (a year ago) but never posting is a key UI tool: show what key(s) a remote button already mapped to. In some mode in the UI, after pressing a remote button, the UI should show or highlight what the mapped key(s) are. Thanks!

  15. Hi, I really like the idea of Flirc. Up until now I've been using a remote made by a polish company ELMAK which is dedicated to use with PC. It comes with USB receiver which operation is very similar to Flirc because it also works like HID keyboard. Unfortunatelly it is preprogrammed to emit specific keycodes for every key on the remote (as it works only with this remote). It is possible to remap keycodes, but only when a dedicated software is running (only windows is supported). Now I'm seriously considering getting rid of it and buying Flirc :) as it gives much more freedom. Now some features that would be nice to have (but even without them it is still great devi…

  17. It's in the title - either I am missing something or long presses are not supported in the current FireTV built in profile with a Logitech remote. Since this is already supported for the Nvidia Shield, I don't see why it would be difficult to support this for the FireTV. I only have the new 4K FireTV, so not sure if other FireTV remotes support long pressing but the one that came with the FireTV 4K definitely does.

Hi, and may I say thank goodness you guys created this awesome little device..... Without it, many including myself would be swearing buggery murder. Why did apple remove the little IR from this machine, who knows... And how many thought that the Apple TV remote 4 would work via bluetooth *&£%!@ I miss having complete function of how my little apple silver old fashioned remote worked/responded... so my question/request is this, may I have an option to choose/select my little silver apple remote from the options... Thank you =D

  20. I'd love it if the Flirc UI software remembered which controller I used last, or if it would let me choose which controller to see when the app opens. I use Flirc extensively, and I always use the full keyboard controller, so I'd like the Flirc UI app to open with that controller instead of the minimalist one I never use. P.S. I LOVE FLIRC! I've been using the v1 dongle for five years and just bought a v2 in order to upgrade my setup a bit. Flirc is fantastic!

For my tv remote that I bought this for, this worked great. But my new tv, oddly has a remote that doesn't have a switch or buttons to change what device it's sending signals too. Originally I could switch my remote to DVD, which I had the codes set for for my FLIRC. Then I could change it back to TV and it wouldnt mess up anything on my computer if I was hitting the arrow keys or Enter key. Now though, my remote doesnt have this option, and when I'm cruising through the Netflix or Amazon video lists it's messing with my PC too. I don't think there is, so I'm asking for it, could we get a button to enable/disable the rest of the keys in the FLIRC? Here's the rem…

  23. Hey, I'm using my default Sony remote for my Windows HTPC setup, works great but I'd love a function that could disable flirc for situations when I want to navigate around my TV without also sending key presses to the HTPC. (I accidently closed my media player while changing the TV picture options) Thanks

So a Flirc USB cost about $50 AUD here so I'm surprised there is no true support for it once you buy it. Many genuine question on the forums are not answered. I notice that no Incident number is assigned to an issue. I had Logitech ring me up in Australia twice form the US to sort out my Harmony remotes and then follow up emails to make sure I was satisfied. This is called customer support.. But I don't believe that "maybe" having you question answered correctly on a forum can be considered support. How about stepping up to some true professional support for a commercial product. If you have an issue you should be able to log it and get some kind of advice. …
