I have been using the command line utility to program my flirc. Trying to write a batch file so that I can script the prompts for each button, as the GUI is not cutting it. Features: 1) Can we get a command line "FlircWatch.exe" This application should just watch for Remote Presses and display the code on the screen (kind of like irw?) 2) Can the config files be in XML? It would be super handy to be able to edit the config files with a simple text editor. Just received my Flircs and starting to program them. Have some issues: 1 the right arrow key does not do anything 2 Mute button brings up Info or OSD depending on where in XBMC I am 3. Parent Directory button acts as Back, Back button goes to home screen 4. power button does nothing 5 OSD button does nothing. Have reprogrammed the unit twice with the same results Am using the recommended Panasonic TV on a Harmony 525 All the keys work as expected from the keyboard. Is there a reason the Contect menu is not included in the XBMC controller? WHich key is the Flirc using for Mute as it is not listed on the XBMC wiki keyboard list

I'd love to be able to 'reuse' my TV remote (LG MKJ39170805) to control XBMC. To do that, I just set the remote to "DVD" and try to record keys. The strange thing is that some keys either don't seem to have a function on the DVD mode or Flirc has problems receiving them. It would be nice to have a simple window that just show the current IR event/frequency/... being received to make sure that the buttons I'm trying to push actually emit something. Cheers, Marc

Hello Jason, my 2 cents: if possible, please make a black Flirc. The transparent one is cool, but it will standout like a lamp in people's setup with majorly black equipment like AV Receivers, Blu-Ray players, and most of HTPC cases. curently we can erase the IR codes one at a time, given that with certain remotes we have to program each button twice it'd be nice to click erase and then click a key on the virtual keyboad and have that erase all IR code associated with it. so if you had a problem with the behaviour with the up arrow, for example, you could click erase, then the up arrow on the virtual keyboard and every IR code associated with it would be deleted so you could just remap that key again without it undoing anything else. i guess its more of an issue for those with things like the xbox remote which need each button programming twice because you have to erase each button twice and thin…

Hello, I have a really minor suggestion. When i do lsusb the it doesn't show a name or anything. Just a simple Flirc with maybe a Firmware version would be great. Example: Bus 002 Device 004: ID 20a0:0001 Flirc.tv (fw 1.0)

have a Track Progress sub-forum we could rely too for infos like whats coming in next firmware version! its nice to keep track of such a thing! and might aswell have also a list for accepted suggestions so we can keep track of those too!!

where we could place HOW TO's for FLIRC like, * HOW TO make your windows o/s SLEEP using a button on your remote * HOW TO avoid issues when configuring your HARMONY remote * and so on..... sweet?

HI guys, i dont want to shock anyone here but, i strongly believe that FLIRC only needs 1 controller and thats the FULL KEYBOARD controller! honestly think about it, once u can map keyboard keys to desired buttons, the sky's the limit! you have ultimate flexibility!! i mean, even tho i use XBMC, it never came to my mind to use the XBMC controller... once i saw that there's a FULL KEYBOARD controller, man, heaven on earth!! what do u guys think? :)
