I use Kodi and have the problem that even very short keystrokes invoke certain actions repeatedly, e.g.

- on screen keyboards: one key right press skips a whole keyboard button
- I use Kodi's skip steps (https://kodi.wiki/view/Skip_steps) and when I triple press the right key, a quadruple or quintuple press is triggered

How can I fix this?

What hardware are you running Kodi on?

Which post? What did you do? I still have this problem.

Sorry, this was for Tony.

For your device, are you using a flirc usb? If not, what profile TV did you use? Can you post your skip config?

I'm resurrecting  this because I have the same issue with the volume for an Audiolab 7000A. Both vol-up and vol-down send twice unless I release the button so unnaturally quickly that it's hard to achieve consistently, like under 10ms. The buttons were learned with the Skip application's IR Learning Wizard. Did we find a workaround?
