jason's post in Activity Turns on Marantz AVR and then immediately Tuns it Off was marked as the answer
Perfect, thank you. I see the issue. It's a bug with the latest release candidate. You may need to delete the app and reset the remote and start over again (With the current PUBLIC beta or the website 0.9.993). Or, if you wait until monday, we can push a new release candidate to have this fixed.

Specific devices aren't supported by big brands. You can find that in one of the given LG code groups.
That being said, learning codes beta release is imminent.

jason's post in Unable to get Skip 1s connected with Skip App was marked as the answer
Yes, you can do what you need, but please read my explanation above of how flirc usb works.
I'm really sorry, I've re-read everything, I still do not see where you were explaining that you wanted to use the skip and flirc together to control media on the computer in a browser. Only that it wasn't working with the computer. But without context, I only understood that to be you could not set it up.
The remote is a universal remote, it's meant to control anything IR.
Flirc USB emulates keyboards and HID (human interface devices). You HAVE to pair it for it to work. By itself, without any setup, it's not going to do anything. It's going to receive an IR code from the remote, and do nothing. You need to use my pairing software to configure it to your liking. You are not using the correct app.
SkipApp loads profiles on the remote control. When random things were happening like 'print screen', it's because these are pre-loaded on Flirc USB so you don't have to pair them. However, as you mentioned, they are not going to function correctly. For example, a key that might do something within PLEX, does print screen in windows.
Download the flirc usb software. You can record remote control keys as keyboard keys. If you know what pauses the movie, like spacebar, pair the button on the remote with spacebar.
Check out controllers->media keys. Here are global hid keys which should work for various apps on windows. The specific keyboard keys are dependent on what you are using on your computer. No keyboard or hid device will be able to control the browser window while not in focus that I know about. VLC would/should work.
If you want to have more control, you can use eventghost. But that's out of my knowledge. I see a lot of users and blog posting about it and flirc.

Extremely frustrating which is why we focused on the learning portion of the device so you can learn from existing devices. I’m sorry for your initial frustration.
But don’t worry. Try this:
If that doesn’t work for some reason I’ll help get it fixed asap.

jason's post in Apple 4K + Device Parameters was marked as the answer
I spent nearly all day on it. But when you told me about your harmony, I started messing around with mine and the original apple tv silver remote. Then I remembered you can pair it. So I tried to figure out what the pair code was for the newer remote models but couldn’t. So I decoded the silver pair remote, and tried to add it to the skip, but it wouldn’t work after a modification.
But then I locked myself out. So I was on to something.
So I finally stumbled on how to unpair a remote and tried that. Yes, I’m definitely adding that along with documentation.
So glad it’s working. Thanks for trying that quickly and helping put this to rest.

jason's post in New Skip 1s - 2 questions was marked as the answer
I think the TV needs more time to turn on, so make sure the power is first in the sequence, add a healthy delay by clicking on the TV ON button in the macro to expand it's settings, and then increase it experimentally and let me know what it ends up being if that works.
Regarding both devices responding. Seams both devices have been 'taught' the same codes or you are sending out the same code for both devices. It's the same as if two identical TV's are in the same room, they'll both respond. So to remedy, make sure to use different codes for each. You can add an arbitrary device that's not in your room to Skip, and then teach the other flirc this new device.
Let me know.

jason's post in remote completely bricked during latest firmware update was marked as the answer
Send me a pm. I’ll replace it. This is not a software issue. It’s a hardware issue, but not something that I’m concerned with now. Mass production always shows the 1%, and we iterate. A component on the pcb is either damaged or disconnected. We run a test in the factory which will never ship a remote with this issue. So I’ll take a look to see if the problem was caused in transit, temperature, a drop, etc. All of which we will refine as we make more. Im not worried about all of the ones shipped suddenly having this issue. I can also add a check before an upgrade and prevent the upgrade and warn the user so you can at least use your remote until the remote is replaced.
Factory phones home test results. I can look up the remote and see the tests. But bottom line is that it would have failed in the first 10 seconds of the test exactly how it failed for you. So I’ll dig in as soon as I have them.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
borez does not have the same issue. Since his remote is detected. His issue is a software issue and probably just windows horseshit.
