Hello ! I tried to configure the Skip 1S with different devices to test what would get sent and the Broadlink doesn't recognize anything. The broadlink is working, that I'm sure of, since I registered 2 remotes' worth of buttons and they are triggering the associated devices. The Skip 1S however doesn't. Is there something I'm missing after syncing the config to the remote ?

Well if you were on the Alpha 6 version and you tried to force the firmware update following these steps: Close the software Unplug the USB-C cable Remove the batteries. Press and hold the return and center key while you insert the USB-C cable (image attached) Start the software If the above didn't work, you should PM Jason and see if he has any other suggestions.

Hi! Well I thought that you have updated app and firmware for the remote, however none of the option from the list work. I have tried them all. Also the testing button is greyed out forever after unsuccessful try to connect to tv. So I am unable to change quickly from the list and try again, I have to make another procedure of adding TV again and again. Not very user friendly. Take care, Balsare

Hi! I also have PS4 Pro, Flirc USB and Skip 1s. None of them work together. You can't even choose Flirc/Playstation from Skip App neither as Misc or Game console devices.

Ahh... if it were that easy... I probably should have mentioned which of the Skip Apps I have tried: SkipApp-0.9.955.7086-fw-fix-x64.msix, SkipApp-0.9.965.7561-Learning-x64.msix, SkipApp-0.9.966.7563-beta-0.9.966-x64.msix and SkipApp-0.9.966-Beta-x64.msix are the ones I KEPT from the numerous ones I downloaded and tried in the last two months on the above mentioned platforms. Meaning I tried to update the firmware to anything more recent than the one my Skip has. I may add that I even read to the end of the above mentioned post, in which randomscot stated the early downloads didn't include the firmware update from the beginning. 0.9.955 I tried as well, but it doesn't seem to be available any longer. As it was replaced by SkipApp-0.9.965.7561-Learning-x64.msix. I would appreciate a hint at what to look for in the logs to check whether the app even tried to update the firmware. And why it was interrupted. Or whether the app simply says so in its user interface, something like: "You're on (e.g.) 4.12.22-0-g214efde, 4.13.2 is included. Do you want to update?" And then says: "Updating to 4.13.2, please wait for another xx seconds", if I chose to. And I humbly suggest you could describe your platform configuration in which you certainly know your app does succeed in updating the firmware. Are you confident the Mac app works? I could ask my wife who lives in the apple environment... Or I could set up a virtual machine...

Ensure that Skip, Flirc, and your PlayStation 4 are compatible.

In order to update the firmware and have the learning function you should be running Skip App 0.9.955 with IR Learning. The latest version Alpha 6 can be found here:

Hi to all, my Skip 1s updated its firmware only once and never again since. The actual data is Remote Model: SKIP.1S.RELEASE.A06 Registration Date: 05/18/2024 10:42:41 (well, changed since I installed Skip App 0.9.966) Serial Number: 43F010425055344A352E3120FF15090B Firmware Version: 4.12.22-0-g214efde Last sync: 05/18/2024 10:43:42 With 0.9.966 again, no firmware update. I tried Windows 11 (64-bit, german) with and without Steam, I tried three Windows 10 computers (one with former contact to Steam, two without, all 64-bit german). None worked. All of them have been in contact with wireless logitech desktops. At least on the windows 11 computers I can't find the mentioned logitech process that you claimed interfered with your driver... Obviously I tried to force the update by removing the batteries (freshly charged eneloops as well as new batteries...), pressing buttons simulanously, getting three red flashes, etc. To no success. BTW - does your software output a message when it starts updating the firmware? I need the learning function for an ancient Brionvega Algol CRT TV (look it up if you find the time) which uses a very rare and therefore extinct proprietary rc protocol. In combination with Kodi on a Raspberry Pi. I might claim I read EVERY recent post and I understood that Windows still is a problem you didn't succeed to overcome. Let me try it the other way round - which configuration do you recommend to update my Skip 1s to an actual firmware with learning function. I will set that up. The last stable release (v1.8.4) was almost 2 years ago, however, blackmagic is now at stable version 1.10.2 (jan 2024). Are we likely to see any update in the near future? I would hate to think I have wasted monies on this hardware :-(

I can not send long presses from my CommandFusion touchscreen remote. My firestick is rack mounted and is fed into a Binary MOIP matrix which also handles the IR repeater duty. I cant send a long press through this type of system. So I can't fast forward/rewind (only skip forward and skip back) and some apps require a long press for the select button (pandora "Are you still listening" requires a long press) I thought solving that issue would be trivial by using one ir signal for the record and a different ir signal for record_lp but Flirc will only permit the same signal to be used for both the short press and the long press. Would it be possible to permit a different signal to be used for long presses? I have written drivers for every device in the house and integrated them through this single interface (RadioRa, DSC Security, Autonomic MMS, DirecTV, Kodi, DBX ZonePro, Luma NVR). The only thing I'm missing is the ability to long press in Flirc.

You can not map the letter k in CLI with the record command. It throws an invalid key error.

My remote interface remote buttons can not be "held down" to create a long press. For example, I was hoping to be able to use one ir signal for the skip forward and a different IR signal for the long press to get fast forward thereby splitting the skip forward and fastforward in to two different buttons. However, Flirc will not let you store a different IR command for the long press than what is stored for the short press. Is this something that could be fixed?

I am using Flirc with a rack mounted 4k Firestick via my commandfusion remote. I am using the full keyboard configuration and need to duplicate buttons from the remote. What keyboard keys map to the firestick remote? arrows (firestick outer ring) enter (firestick select button) escape (firstick back) ??? (Home) ??? Thank you for the good work. If the function of the A, B and C buttons can be expanded to include commands related to switching activities, I will definitely order more Skip 1s. I would like to use them for all TV and media complexes that I manage in a wide area for my relatives, neighbors and friends. But now I ran into a rather fundamental problem. So far I have only had two activities in Skip 1. I created them using Skip App version 0.9.965 and both work fine. I have a Samsung TV and a Media Center PC in them. Now we have updated Skip App to version 0.9.066 and added a third activity and added Samsung TV in it again. And immediately during the test after adding the device, I found out that the POWER ON and OFF commands do not work. So now I have two activities in Skip where controlling the Samsung TV works and one where controlling the same Samsung TV doesn't work. I exported the Skip configuration and found that the Samsung TV parameters for the first two activities are different from the parameters for the third activity. @vavila You inspired me to dust off the remote and take another pass. I seem to be stuck at the same point as I was at months ago. I can switch everything on but it doesn't sent the input correctly. I can't figure out how to have it send out an HDMI input command to switch to the input that the Roku is plugged into. I tried everything I could think of in the app but nothing gets me there. I posted a new message on this issue. I didn't see anything in the other posts that helped but I will keep looking.
