Yes, it's around ~2.4V because the batteries are in series and that's about the cutoff for the microprocessor to run at it's frequency. After using the remote for months and months, it finally died last month (sorry been busy) at a voltage of 1.230V.

So from October 19 to start of June, let's just say June 1, that is 7 and a half months! HOLY SHIT WE HAVE OUT SOLUTION. Going from the awful 1-3 battery life to 7 and a half months on rechargeable batteries is amazing.
It also seems the cutoff voltage is around 1.230V (again, would like to hear from Jason the exact amount).
I will mark the steps above as the solution for what fixed it, but I am very glad to have found a fix for my remote.

	Hopefully this helps someone someday!

I just Opened the Skip 1s App for the First Time in a while and it says to Update but all that is shown is a Black Box

https://forum.flirc.tv/index.php?/topic/21531-i-just-opened-the-skip-1s-app-for-the-first-time-in-a-while-and-it-says-to-update-but-all-that-is-shown-is-a-black-box/&do=findComment&comment=43535

Hello Jason

	I Hope you are Well.

Since everything has been working well I have not Opened the Skip 1s App for a while, however, I had a need to Open it and I have a Problem.

When I Open the App it says that there is an Update but all I see is a Black Square in the Middle of the Screen, I have attached a Screenshot.

I have no idea what Version I am on as, if I Close the Black Window and go yo About, in the Bottom Left all that is shown is another Black WIndow.

	Any suggestions?

	Thanks in advance

How did you find it. Just by browsing the forums? I've actually been updating the same 'driver'. I keep finding different apps that fuck with USB on windows with no rhyme or reason. I call it a driver, but I'm just disabling all the bullshit that keeps popping up. I can not believe windows forces us into a sandbox and allows other software to disable our own hardware. We have several big updates coming. I've seen a few email notifications of replies to this thread - but I can currently only see my original post here. Apologies for those who might have suggested something to try - but I can't read your posts.

Similarly, weird behaviour with my Skip 1s:

I've replaced the batteries twice more since my original post 6 weeks ago; I've also saved the config, reset the remote, and re-loaded the config. This lasted 3 weeks until I then found the batteries had drained again (with extremely light use of the remote).

I last replaced the batteries 3 days ago - and just came to sit down and see how I might be able to downgrade the firmware as a test - when I found the remote unresponsive again. Scarcely believing the batteries had drained already, I swapped in a fresh set - and found the remote is still dead. No response with batteries in; plugging it into my Mac produces no recognition that it has been plugged in; removing batteries and plugging does not help; pressing Centre and Back whilst plugging in does not help.

It appears the device is now bricked. Perhaps the increase in battery consumption was a sign of an impending failure?

@jason - is there anything I can do to help diagnose this issue? The device is less than a year old, and has only seen light usage; I would be very sad to lose it...

Can not program new remotes

https://forum.flirc.tv/index.php?/topic/21523-can-not-program-new-remotes/&do=findComment&comment=43508

This version worked for me.
