Sorry, this was for Tony. For your device, are you using a flirc usb? If not, what profile TV did you use? Can you post your skip config?
-
Please add to Database (Dune-HomeMatics-SetTopBox.json)

Are you still seeing double key presess with this? I double checked your codes, they look correct. -
Try the following.Go to preferences: Accessibility - Enable advanced administration panel. Go to the admin panel at the top (the wrench) in the upper right. Go to the brands tab. Import the attached. Restart the wizard and find the device, let me know how that works. Sony - STR-DB930.json

Yes, long presses are on the road map, and better visibility into power up and power down are definitely coming. After learning is done, we are going to work on smart activity switching. So you'll be able to press A->B and it will change the state of said devices with context. When we get here, we are going to engage with the community a lot, so please make sure to check up on the forums or subscribe to the mailer. I'm sure I'll send out notice asking for feedback on concepts.

You can do this on the OS level. It's a keyboard, so you can change repeats.

Thanks for pointing that out, seems like it could have been an assembly issue with the spring. So sorry about that. Lot of crashes fixed in the latest release: I'm going to make a beta reales sticky to the top very shortly. I want to confirm we got the delays fixed (which look to be the fault of the GUI).

Jesus christ, I was losing my mind. Stupid stupid. The GUI config isn't including this in the config on the device. Jesus christ. When missing, I default to 1s on the remote, which coincidentally, all my configs are set on. I'm so sorry. I'll have an update hopefully tomorrow. It will be small to include this along with a couple more database additions. You can see below, I have my repeat count, but no delay. Sorry, this must have been so frustrating.

Yes it is needed, but we license the largest commercial database we can find. So it’s disappointing when so codes are not working. This was not expected. We’re working on it right now. We’re going to push an update out with some bug fixes here and there but this has gotten all our focus. No major features will be pushed until learning is done. Then smarter activity switching. Stay on the forums for a beta release. In the meantime, I’ll help get your device added.

We’re working on it. This is not intuitive and I list everywhere it’s coming https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/42yxrwkankvqcggwmoet3/Skip-Remote-Record-Device.mp4?rlkey=0ab713920s7obm7sycnzpw24i&dl=0 Sorry. I have one developer at the moment. For the missing buttons you can help list the models you need. It’s possible I added an existing Sony device that had this fixed already. Anytime you see the model number, that’s an added device. Again, this is not a big company. There are only a few people here. Give us an opportunity.

No, it’s dumb. But we are going to push out an improvement later to address this

Hook it back up to the software

Do you guys see the led ring animation when you hit a macro? It should be showing the led animation for as long as it's transmitting, delays included. If not, can you please tell me your version of the firmware, and post your config.
-
Can you post your JSON file?
-
I'll look into delays this week. Can you post your configuration? I'm not able to replicate this.

I'm sorry, I wasn't subscribed to the main thread and missed all these posts. We've been releasing a lot. It's definitely not dead. We have rolling updates that come every two weeks. Please make sure you subscribe to our subscription. https://mailchi.mp/3080d5cf7951/skip-app-v0994-90-updates-a-better-database-linux-support-and-button-sorting-9395599?e=[UNIQID] https://us5.campaign-archive.com/?u=8b14153fa3b1c5bc8ba0ec01a&id=249480ca64 I think I've got it worked out, please try the latest firmware: This should be worked out in this firmware, and is effecting a very small number of users. I've shipped a lot, and this seems to be an edge case. I have 6 remotes around the house, I haven't had issues replacing once/twice a year. Please let me know in that particular thread, I'm eager to fix this. Please respond in that thread, I'm going to 'lock' this one down since it's related to the same issue.

Post a screenshot if you are having trouble.

Make sure your LEDs are set to 20%. At full brightness it uses an unnecessary amount of power and hammers the battery quite a bit. Please try the latest firmware as well posted in the other thread. There is an edge case preventing from sleeping. I also have a bunch of other fixes in that version as well.
-
Send me your config again. Maybe my addition got deleted.
-
Awesome. I’ll help get this in quickly. Do you have a flirc USB? If not, I think I have this in my box of remotes at the office.
-
Of course. Is your original remote Bluetooth with that wireless wand thingy feature?
-
@ytsejam1138 @Shiv @TonyC @MoSPDude I'm really sorry about this. I did not see your thread but did some random testing on a couple units and saw a strange edge case that could effect a small number of remotes. I worked on this endlessly over the past few days and think it's resolved. But need help confirming. The firmware is attached, you can load it in the admin panel or you can use the update tool: SkipUpdate for Mac and SkipUpdate for Windows skip.1s.a06.release-4.12.21.bin

My pleasure. Yeah, looks like I have a bug in the command, so sorry about that. On my list is a bit of a firmware re-write to bring it up with the remote as well as make the configs human readable JSON.
