Evo Force 1 IPTV android box with tivo s6a remote from Astound cable

The cable company gave me this set top box: https://www.androidtv-guide.com/pay-tv-provider/astound-broadband-v2/

and this remote: https://www.uei.com/tivo-s6a-remote

The remote is paired to the set-top box via bluetooth, but it definitely also has IR since it is set up to control the TV (and the spec sheet linked above says it has IR).

I can't figure out whether it's possible to program the skip remote to control the set-top box. might be the case that the IR on the remote is only for tv control and there is no IR receiver on the android box? thanks.

Most likely it is not for the box. But there are TIVO profiles in skip app you can try
