The cable company gave me this set top box: https://www.androidtv-guide.com/pay-tv-provider/astound-broadband-v2/

and this remote: https://www.uei.com/tivo-s6a-remote

The remote is paired to the set-top box via bluetooth, but it definitely also has IR since it is set up to control the TV (and the spec sheet linked above says it has IR).

I can't figure out whether it's possible to program the skip remote to control the set-top box. might be the case that the IR on the remote is only for tv control and there is no IR receiver on the android box? thanks.
