  1. If you have a button on the Skip 1s you are not using you could turn it into a macro to toggle eArc on and off in the LG menu. For example say you don't use the number 7, you would assign commands from your LG TV settings>menu down>menu right>ok>settings. Or whatever commands you use to get to the eArc setting to turn it off and on. You might also need to add some delays between the steps depending on how responsive your LG is to IR commands.
  2. Try this: Firmware Update If you are not presented with update dialog, please do the following: Close the software Unplug the USB-C cable Remove the batteries. Press and hold the return and center key while you insert the USB-C cable (image attached) Start the software

  4. Well if you were on the Alpha 6 version and you tried to force the firmware update following these steps: Close the software Unplug the USB-C cable Remove the batteries. Press and hold the return and center key while you insert the USB-C cable (image attached) Start the software If the above didn't work, you should PM Jason and see if he has any other suggestions.
  5. In order to update the firmware and have the learning function you should be running Skip App 0.9.955 with IR Learning. The latest version Alpha 6 can be found here:
  6. The batteries are probably low or at least one of them is low. When this happens to me, I usually find one battery is good and the other is completely drained.

  8. From other similar posts, it seems the best solution is run Windows in a virtual environment to get the remote to connect. Have you tried connecting the remote without the batteries installed? Sometimes this is the only way I can get my remote to update the firmware.
  9. @jason Will you be posting the Windows update as well?
  10. Try the software and firmware here: https://forum.flirc.tv/index.php?/topic/12049-battery-does-not-last-for-more-than-a-day/&do=findComment&comment=35132 This should fix the battery issue. As for the other issue of the remote not being recognized by Windows, do you have Steam installed?
  11. Sorry to hear that. If you decide to setup the remote again, make sure you use the export feature in the app. If there is a sync issue in the future you can just import your settings without having to start over.
  12. You guys could try this new version of the Skip App and firmware that was posted yesterday. The firmware addresses another problem, but maybe it will help resolve your issue as well. https://forum.flirc.tv/index.php?/topic/12049-battery-does-not-last-for-more-than-a-day/&do=findComment&comment=35132
  13. All links work for me. Maybe you have a pop-up blocker installed. After you click download, a window pops up that you have to click to accept terms and conditions, then the download link becomes active.
  14. Got it, thanks. The link above still doesn't work due to the entire link not being hyperlinked. The ?token=skipAppUpdate isn't linked to the rest of the URL.
  15. @jason I'm trying to download the Windows version and it's prompting me to sign in on the https://update.flirc.tv webpage. I tried using my forum login credentials, but they don't work. Any idea what's going on?
  16. @jason Could you make an app that could merge the backup file from the old app and the new app? Or somehow be able to import the old backup file first before adding the new devices/ir codes?
  17. Here is a link to the latest firmware and instructions on how to install it. https://forum.flirc.tv/index.php?/topic/12049-battery-does-not-last-for-more-than-a-day/&do=findComment&comment=30753
  18. Only the four directional buttons are activated by pressing the color wheel button, the center button remains unchanged.
  19. @georgmi @borez .21 is the latest one as posted on page one of this thread. I believe @jason had a typo when he wrote .22 previously.
  20. @jason Well, today has been two weeks exactly since I started using my replacement. I'm happy to report my batteries are still showing 1.48v. Thank you @jason for taking care of this for me.
  21. @David_ Here's how to access the admin panel. https://forum.flirc.tv/index.php?/topic/11180-remotes-not-detected-by-any-computer/&do=findComment&comment=29394
  22. @jason Well, came home today and the remote batteries were completely dead. 9/15 Installed new batteries 9/17 Installed new .21 firmware 9/20 Batteries completely drained
  23. This is the first sign that the batteries are about to completely die. Check this thread for more information and a new firmware that will hopefully fix this from happening so quickly.
  24. Installing now, thanks Jason. I will post results after testing.
  25. After downgrading to firmware 4.8.12 from 4.8.18 on the 5th of September and replacing the batteries with new ones. The batteries died today on the 15th of September. At this point, I could have bought an additional remote with the amount of batteries I have gone through in the last 3 1/2 months.
