Most significant backend re-write to date. We focused strictly on performance and getting those animations super smooth. We also cleaned up our action editor pop-up to match our original design. Now it's always centered on the remote so we never cover up our tips window which will eventually be more useful.

Let us know how it works for you and if you have any trouble. Estimated public release is about 2 weeks.

Hello, just wanted to drop my experience with this update.

I definitely notice that the animations are smoother. I would still appreciate a sort of "reduced motion" setting, because they still chug on my laptop, but it's still improved.

I noticed that when making an activity, the drop down to select model/brand seems to close when I try scrolling.

I also noticed that some brands are now split with some models under one/the other. For example, Yamaha Audio, my RX V-1000 code set was under the second Yamaha category.

Thanks for the improvements, hope to see more soon.

Could you elaborate on this.

Absolutely, you can see here that there are 2 Yamahas listed:

If I click the first one, I see this:

If I click the second one, I see this:

If I search for my receiver in the first one (RX V-1000), it isn't present.

Let me know if any or other diagnostic or log would be helpful, I can provide them.

Hello,
SkipApp-0.9.980.8592 on Windows 10
When I enter the recording of a custom remote, I get the error "Internet connection needed for remote control learning, We're unable to reach our servers".
My internet connection is running and I also get the lists of brands and models in the various drop boxes.
Best regards,
Darius

Must be a local firewall rule. https://ir.flirc.io

Server is up and running fine.

Hello Jason,
just updated to 0.9.980.8509-RC-x64.
NO firmware update was offered, remote is still on 4.12.22. And obviously it can't learn  ;-)

I tried removing the batteries, pressing enter and back simultanously, and so on. To no effect.

I even put my remote in the freezer. And tried again. Nothing.

Any suggestions?

Best regards
Froggy
