First feedback/ Initial Impressions

I recieved my remote today and played around with it a bit. I installed the latest app (SkipApp-0.9.4.5480-mg-fix-device-restriction-x64) and everything seems to be working fine.
I have FortiClient installed and had no problems with the remote connection, i think i also had steam installed an this mashine in the past but i'm not sure.

The only real problem i have so far is that i want to control my intel nuc which has an ir port but i cant find it anywhere in the device list.

I have found some infos on the intel homepage. Looks like some generic protocol? (I have no idea bout this ir stuff :P )

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000058707/intel-nuc/intel-nuc-kits.html

All in all i'm happy so far, the hardware feels great and the app has potential, still missing some features and polish but i'm sure thats just a matter of time.
I will play around with the software more in the next few days and provide some more detailed feedback.

As a programmer i know how awful the kind of bugs are that you where hunting for the last few weeks and hopefully that is mostly solved now.
Keep up the good work, looking forward to finally having a remote that doesn't suck.

Edit: Just noticed i posted this in the wrong section, sorry :/

The name stands for Forever lirc or something like that right? :P
I run libreelec and have the flirc usb attached anyway i just wanted to play around with it.

The thing I cant figure out is how to turn on the nuc with its built in ir port. The nuc supports power on from S5 via CIR so it should work but doesnt for some reason. I have wake from s5 via CIR enabled in the bios but no luck so far. Hard to tell if the remote sends the wrong codes or the nuc just doesnt care for some reason, this needs some more digging. I tried all the microsoft entries but no luck. Power from usb should also work i guess, is this possible with the flirc usb?

Another thing i'm trying to change is that the kodi power down action only opens the shutdown context menu in kodi, is there a way to imediately shut down without the menu?
Probably some kodi setting i assume?

Do you have a remote that currently can power the nuc on and off? I'm not really super familiar with out that would work in the first place. Regarding wake from USB, here's a thread with some info.
