We’re going to make it much more useful. You’ll able to look through and test any signal easily. It’ll come after the learning update.

It would be nice to be able to search for EFCs (Effective Function Codes?) of a device, finding the "hidden" IR codes. Basically if I had a new device that kind of worked with the existing codes, being able to cycle through the rest of the EFCs would allow the skip 1s to be more functional with the device.
That's kinda how it works. Codes are bucket into groups or models and usually the codes we have work for the device but aren't on the provided remote.
But we are working hard on finishing up learning, and after that we'll have some updates that'll make managing codes easier. -
These are the posts I love. Thank you.

Yes. You need to add the
manufacturer: flirc
device: shield
profile to the skip activity.

Hi Jason,
Thankyou for your response.
Wish you a speedy recovery. I have used an OTG adapter but.
The first unit I bought was directly from yourselves. How can I can this replaced.
The second unit I will get it replaced from amazon.
They both don’t work? Something else is wrong.
you shouldn’t need an otg adapter. Just a USB micro cable.

Hi Jason,
It would be appreciated if you would care to respond back.
Sorry, I was out sick. I don't see it in the USB tree. Did you see it when you had it hooked up to the other port 4?
Unless the chord you are using is a power only chord, I think something is wrong with the unit. You can try exchanging it with Amazon, let me know if you have problems. -
Try Denon - DHT-S517 which is in the database. Should be the same.

If I remember correctly, the remote has to be in administrative mode. There's a config file that you place in one of the Skip's file folders. Check out the threads on importing json files. You are then able to import json files. Jason's response above (25th) has the json file that you import and then assign the "unpair" button to one button. It should then work correctly. Your other remote is locking out the Skip.
If you update the App, it’s built in now. If it’s not showing because you had a much older version, make sure you go through the wizard again (but this is likely not to be the case.
@scozz13 just look through the button list in the activity, assign the unpair button to a button and send that to your appletv.

Most likely it is not for the box. But there are TIVO profiles in skip app you can try

Sorry. I just don’t have time at the moment.

Sometimes this happens to both of my controllers and often switching batteries work but not anymore. Skip App is able to sync data. Please help. Last change was that I added 2 devices to the volume button.
What firmware are you running?

Hi Jason,
Thankyou for the quick response.
The link I clicked was https://flirc.tv/contact which was on your help section of I think I need to return my Flirc.
Yes I am connecting the flirc firetv on the female side
I don't see windows detect this device.
This is the correct link: https://flirc.tv/pages/contact
It's on the footer of the page. Can I ask where the link is you found? I'll make sure it's corrected. But I'm the only one here, so you'll just be sending your message to another inbox I have to get to.
If you don't hear the normal 'usb detected' sound windows does, it doesn't sound like it's working. Everything is tested before being shipped, so that's troubling. One last thing we can try, https://www.uwe-sieber.de/usbtreeview_e.html
If you download that, plug it in, you can export a report and send that to me. I'll take a look and we can go from there. -

I recently bought the flirc fire tv edition and I think it was a DOA as I have not been able to connect it to the flirc app in windows 10. It does not not show up a device in device manager. I have tried this on 3 different machines and it is the same. I have even logged a support request and not had any responses for it. Trying to contact support to arrange an RMA is impossible as it says "the page does not exist". This has been a frustrating experience considering the fact that I was recommended this device from people in the custom install world like myself.
I would appreciate any assistance in getting this resolved as I have a very upset client.
Which link did you click?
You are connecting to the flirc firetv female side?
Do you see that windows detects the device?

Nevermind, I think I got it.
Try the attached.LOXJIE Amp - A30.json- 1

I can help with this but the data above is not enough.
NEC has an address and command. I'd bet those are the correct commands, but I'm not sure about the address. 0x2222 is too long. It is typically 8 bits or 0x0 - 0xF.
Where did you find those? Maybe it has some more info. -
Can’t say for certain but not long after me.

@jason would like to request a replacement too. Flashed to the latest .21 firmware that you posted, and batteries drained in less around a week, against a fresh set of rechargeable. Remote was not even used, LED brightness set at 20%.
Was a kickstarter backer, happy to take it via PM.I’m puzzled by this. Yours wasn’t in this group of remotes and it’s been ten months?
Out of this group of people, I’ve sent replacements and only received one remote back for analysis. That remote had bad caps like I thought.
I’ve seen my firmware fix the battery in half a dozen remotes as I can easily reproduce the existing issue under the right conditions. I’m going to publish the firmware next week.

Hi Jason
Thank you for working on it.
I have already 2 Flirc USB. An idea of me is, that Flirc USB could listen to my Harmony Remote or any other and produce a Pronto code we could use for the Skip 1s.
Already can do that. irtools ships with Flirc software and will print out the codes

Does anybody has the Pronto Code of the EDGE A?
Since months I'm not able to use my Skip 1s.
We are working nonstop on learning. Let me send you a Flirc USB. We are close but I can’t measure the timeline. Send me a message.

Inside a Flirc USB the IR transmitter and the IR receiver are physically very close to one another so the receiver picks up the transmitter's IR signal. Therefore, if a certain IR signal/pattern is paired with a keyboard key, the flirc_util.exe sendir --pronto/raw=<IR signal/pattern> command will also trigger the paired keyboard key, which is not always desired. Is there maybe a command line switch (or would it be possible to implement one) that would disable the Flirc's IR receiver (or ignore its input) while the sendir command is transmitting the IR signal (e.g. flirc_util.exe sendir --ignore)?
I have new firmware that disable firmware on transmit. I'll post that very soon.

I hate to pile on, but I think I'm having the same issue. I updated the firmware about a week ago, and I've been through three sets of batteries since. I'm using rechargeables, so I'm keeping up with the drain without using up alkalines, but it'd be nice to have a fix.
My order number was SHOP-36838.
Thanks much!
Are you using the .22 firmware, I posted in this thread.

I'll be looking for a scientific app that averages the readings, and omits the extreme values. Then I'll be posting the averages without the best brains. (And the howto dothat, including the credits ideally.)
Oh I’m terribly hard at work on learning libraries right now. This will all be improved significantly.
Thank you for your text files. I will include them in the next update.

Awesome. Thanks for the bug report. I’ll get to this tomorrow.

I'd like for someone to answer my email about my defective product so that I don't have to resort to trying to get someone's attention in the forum.
I have no email from you. Please email support at flirc dot tv.
All other emails you may have responded too, like a receipt, are do not reply. They don't go anywhere.
How to configure Flirc Skip 1S with Flirc USB for Kodi with PVR Addon
in Skip 1s
Posted
In the skip app software there should be:
manufacturer: flirc
device: kodi
This includes a profile that is pre paired with Flirc so no Flirc setup needed.
I’m probably missing a few items in my built in profiles.
