Flirc not detecting any buttons

So i have a pdp ps4 media remote i want to use on my pc with kodi but after plugging in the flirc and starting the app it doesn't recognize any buttons at all.

 

i know the remote works because i can use the normal ps buttons (x/o/square/triangle/ect) just fine, but i couldn't use the media and ir stuff so that's why i got the flirc.

Sounds like it mostly doesn't do IR. There is some limited support for volume, input, and power for TVs, but that's it.
