kiwipaul Posted December 30, 2024 Report Posted December 30, 2024 This is for a model 3 Pi but that forum seems to be locked. As per the title, the plastic on the top and bottom pieces has become very sticky as they age. I am now using the case without a bottom or a top. Can you consider sharing the design files for these pieces so I can print replacements? Paul Quote

jhonnmuller Posted January 18, 2025 Report Posted January 18, 2025 (edited) You can design or find replacement files on platforms like Thingiverse, MyMiniFactory, or GrabCAD. For precision, use calipers to measure your case dimensions if no files are available. Alternatively, reach out to Flirc support directly, as they may have CAD files or guidance for replacements. If you need help locating designs or tweaking them for printing, feel free to ask! Edited June 17, 2025 by jhonnmuller Quote

Drk Posted August 31, 2025 Report Posted August 31, 2025 Hi! I'm having the same issue but with a 4B case. I probably should check my 3B cases too. But the 4 case has it pretty bad. That's also the case I took with me when traveling to Vietnam and staying there for several months. Perhaps the heat had something to do with that (a room there in summer can get quite hot when AC isn't on). I have 2 Pi-Hole RPi4 cases in a basket right now for fail-over DNS (overkill, I know) and an Rpi5 case to test with a printed NVME base for Pimoroni. I absolutely love the Flirc cases. Best ones around if you ask me! I have close to 10 of them. I just hope that my other cases don't start suffering the sticky tops and bottoms :) Can the tops just be pulled off? I never needed to do it before, so I never tried. The attached pics are of the RPi4 case. I hope you can see it. It's most clear on the top side. The bottom side is less affected, and even though it doesn't show as well, it is also sticky. Anyway, this was a long way to ask if you could please send me the 3B and 4 files as well :) Quote
jason Posted August 31, 2025 Report Posted August 31, 2025 Just send me a note. I’ll send you new ones. I can’t replace those awesome stickers though Quote
Drk Posted August 31, 2025 Report Posted August 31, 2025 I just checked, the 3Bs are fine. I'll send you a PM, thank you! And don't worry about the stickers :D The Kali on that one is retired now, so it can do with a fresh clean look! Quote
