Hi guys,

I have just received a new Flirc dongle and intend to use it to interface my Harmony Touch to my Raspberry Pi 2.

I followed these instructions:

  • Download the repository from xbmc.flirc.tv
  • Connect to OpenELEC HTPC with a FTP software such as Filezilla (username: root / password: openelec)
  • Copy repository.flirc-1.0.0.zip to the HTPC with the FTP software
  • In XBMC, go to System > Add-ons > Install from a zip file and locate the repository.flirc-1.0.0.zip file
  • After installing the repository, go to System > Add-ons > Get Add-ons > Official Flirc XBMC Add-on Repository > Services > Flirc > Install
  • Finally, reboot the computer and the Flirc configuration will start automatically upon start-up

From this website: http://mymediaexperience.com/flirc-remote-control-companion/

When I go to run the Add-On it says that I'm running on unsupported hardware and crashes.

Is there anything that I can try?

Many thanks, apologies if this has been asked before, I couldn't find anything specifically for the RP2.

James

I don't have a raspberry pi 2 yet, and right now, it's safe to say that the xbmc repo for the new pi is not supported yet. Mine should arrive soon.

You can pair it on another machine and use it on the pi without any issue.
