hollabaxta Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Whenever I try and setup my FLIRC to learn from my Comcast Xfinity remote it always says "button already exists." I clear it, I clear it. Nothing works. It will not learn off this remote. This is the remote I am trying to pair my key presses with --> http://amazon.com/dp/B00FP1B8LY/ref=pe_385040_121528360_TE_dp_1 If anyone knows what to do Id appreciate it Quote
jason Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Upgrade your firmware, file->advanced, force firmware upgrade. Or, disable builtin profiles in advanced settings. Quote
fstrife Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 I'm having the same problem with a very similar remote: http://www.amazon.com/Xfinity-Comcast-XR5-X1-BackLight/dp/B00SGSKR56 I've force udpated the firmware, disabled built-in profiles, turned off the lights, and tried from farther away. Anything else I can try? Thanks! Quote
fstrife Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 would changing the sensitivity help at all or is this remote unsupported? Quote
jason Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 can you post a pic to your comcast infinity remote? fstrife, I'm going to pick one of these up, I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for posting a link. Quote
fstrife Posted April 29, 2015 Report Posted April 29, 2015 thanks Jason! I really hope it works as the remote is one of my favorites (inexpensive, backlight turns on when picked up, has basic control for tv and receiver, large navigation pad, not too cluttered) Quote
sarcoptic Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Just wondering if you had any luck figuring out the issue? I ordered the remote thinking it should work fine with Flirc...however like you can program one button. Flirc acts like all the buttons are tied together and each isn't sending their own command. This makes me wonder if the remote has to be pseudo paired somehow to get all the buttons to function. Thanks! Quote
fstrife Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 (edited) no luck yet. hoping jason can come up with a solution. Edited May 12, 2015 by fstrife Quote
jason Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 I picked one up, let me track down my testing results. Quote
sarcoptic Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 Hope you have luck Jason! This remote is only 8 bucks from Amazon..with back lighting and such its a steal! Quote
jason Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 Yeah, I got mine and it's not working. It looks like a standard 38khz frequency, but I'm going to say the wavelength of the light is funny. It's just not working and it's going to take me time to figure out why. Sorry, guys, not something I'm going to be able to get too right away, I have a ton on my plate. Quote

fstrife Posted November 19, 2016 Report Posted November 19, 2016 Still hoping this can be supported. Quote
