CFD_Cryss
Hello! Just got my 1s, and I'm trying to reduce remotes. I have an Onkyo HT-R395, which uses the RC-928R remote. I've managed to set up activities to include powering off and on the receiver. However, the power function doesn't work. I've tried all the existing Onkyo brand remote codes that came with the Skip app, checked the complete brands guide, and even managed to use the new learning version of the app to record the entire remote's IR functions. Everything but the power works. I can change volumes, inputs, use the other functions. But just not power. I've validated the IR Proton code from my remote via the JSON config files from my saved remote and it is fairly different to the existing IR codesin the DB. Anyone else have issues with powering on and off their Onkyo receiver with this remote? That's the last button before I can retire the remote. Uzi2
Are there any different options for power on/off? My Marantz has Power On, Power Off And Power Toggle all working. It will also power on when selecting an input. I'm sure @jason would be interested in the details of your codes via the beta feedback thread. The different brands that came with the app have different buttons. Power on, power off, power toggle. None of those button IR codes appear to work with my receiver. I did just try to push one of the input buttons, and that worked! The Onkyo comes on. But it still doesn't completely solve my issue. I want to turn off the Onkyo when turning stuff off for the night. I'll rustle up the JSON codes that I recorded directly from my remote and see about sending them along. That said, I do like the new beta IR learning mode! Can wait to see more functionality for it, like loading existing saved remote designs/layouts to edit, seeing the renamed Custom or "Input" button names in the list properly (still shows up as "Custom" and "Input" in lists. I got 9 different "Inputs" XD), and the ability to re-record already captured buttons. :) Great job so far, @jason!
