Remote unresponsive after disconnecting from Mac

I just received the remote and have been setting up my first activity.

I was successful for a while, but now after I sync and disconnect the remote from the Mac, nothing on the remote works.

When connected, I can test buttons successfully and see the remote lights.

    Unplug the batteries. And plug them in again while it’s disconnected. I’m looking into this.
