Suddenly pressing any button causes the middle light to flash red three times

Featured Replies

One moment the remote was working fine and then the next time I tried to use it the middle ring light flashed red three times and seemingly no IR signal is sent.

I've tried replacing the batteries but that hasn't made a difference.

What does three red blinks mean? Is there a way to fix it?

When I connect it to the Skip App it shows as connected but clicking 'Sync' says 'An error occurred while synchronizing'.

It doesn't seem to log anything to the console when this is happening.

Is this on Linux?

Yes.

I already have the udev file from the AppImage installed; before that it would never report as connected in the bottom left.

I also tried running the AppImage as root but the behaviour is the same.

When I connect the remote the usb Product string says it is in DFU mode. I take it that is some device firmware update mode?
