I received my Skip. I have set up an activity in the Windows app. I have added Nvidia shield as one of my activities for navigation and playback

But how do I connect the controller to my Nvidia shield?

The Shield does not have an IR receiver.  So you will need a Flirc USB and possibly a USB-A MALE to USB-A FEMALE cable.  The cable will be used to move the Flirc USB in line of sight for the Skip 1s to send the IR signal.

Thanks for answering my dumb questions. I programmed the USB as the shield remote. I used the skip 1s remote and pressed the buttons as it requested. I have connected the USB to the shield using an extender that has the sensor pointing directly at the sofa.

Now my problem is it's extremely unreliable. 50% of the time it ceases to work when I press a button on the remote. Any ideas? Also, why does the skip 1s have a profile for the shield if the flirc app has you program the remote anyways?
