  1. Hi Ant4 Where did you order it from, Jason? Shipping can take up to six weeks which is why we scrapped sending them all from America. Now it should only take a few days with our European suppliers WWW.Flirc.TV/distributors
  2. Thanks for posting Teddy. For all users of this thread remember to press the "Like this" button in the bottom of the post to thanks Teddy :)
  3. It's not as intuitive as it seems - at the very least the "Go" button in the other presets should pop up a dialog that says it won't do anything. I'll mention it to Jason and put it on my lost of improvements to remember. Glad to hear it's going well otherwise :)
  4. Glad you're enjoying you Flirc :)
  5. The Flirc GUI doesn't need to be running all the time, only when you want to program new buttons in :)
  6. Oh no! For the life of me I can't find anything online either :( It seems like a perfectly realistic idea for a product too
  7. Hi samuraixodus, Sorry for the confusion, the "Go" button in the GUI is only for the minimalistic preset. To program using other presets you have to press the key on the Flirc gui software that you want to program then it will ask you to press a button on your remote, repeat this until you have programmed all the remote control buttons you want to. Does this help?
  8. If you're using the appletv remote with Flirc it will still send keyboard presses (as it is using flirc)
  9. I'm beginning to think we've had a bad batch. I'll highlight this thread to Jason if he doesn't pick up on it soon So sorry you guys are having issues with Flirc
  10. @rbridd: I'm starting to think that it is faulty to. Could you follow up "support at Flirc dot tv" (trying to avoid spam bots). Please link to this thread in it and attach your Flirc configuration file. Jason will have a look at it and we'll go from there. Don't worry, we won't leave you hanging :)
  11. 2. In XBMC settings Somewhere in input settings there should be an option you need to activate "remote sends keyboard presses" I'll have a look about activities in harmony remotes, I only have a cheap harmony so doesn't have this. (I should point out for others who read this thread that activities need to be set up in harmony software and are completely separate from Flirc - harmony software isn't that easy to use)
  12. Have you tried re-programming it when it wasn't constant spamming presses (e.g. in the dark). Interference may have got recorded with it first time.
  13. 1. To clear all settings in Flirc go to file menu, then "clear configuration" 2. You could, are you wanting to use the apple TV remote for different functions than your harmony (I.e. do you want there to be overlap between the two remotes on the Flirc keyboard?) Let us know how it goes

  15. Multi-press isn't enabled yet. Were you trying to achieve something like this:
  16. p.s. I tend to use the XBMC wiki as it gets updated more frequently. Other users have linked to the thread on the XBMC which will also work :)
  17. Hi Samuk In answer to your questions: This should help: As you've found the XBMC controller preset in the Flirc GUI contains a few errors, some lesser used functions are not present (to simplify it for the user). Using the Keyboard preset in Flirc gui you can match up the command you want from the xbmc keyboard wiki (http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Keyboard) with the button on your remote. For example Exit button on your remote - map to "Esc" Back button on your remote - map to "backspace" using the xbmc keyboard wiki shoudl help with this. We (Jason) will be addressing the erronous commands in the next revision of Flirc GUI - sorry about that. To close xbmc map a keyboard button to ALT+f4 (like you would close any other app on windows). Or try this way: To start XBMC: Try doing the above stuff first, see if that helps your set-up. Let us know and ask more questions if you think of any :) Remember you should be able to do anything you can do on a keyboard with Flirc. Happy flirc-ing :)
  18. Nothing like holding my GoPro upside-down in my mouth. Turned out fairly well I think
  19. Hand picked, from the fields for extra freshness :)
  20. Remember, Flirc emulates a keyboard so no matter what controller you pick it will still be sending keyboard signals. The presets just make it easier by finding out the keyboard shortcuts for you. In the case of xbmc preset there are a few errors (back and exit are both erroniously mapped to backspace) also you may find not all buttons are on there. The basics are certainly covered though :) As xbmc sends keyboard commands I find a more appropreiate way to match things is the keyboard shortcut wiki page: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Keyboard Each to their own though :)
  21. @Jason: let me know if I can help if a replacement is needed
