Do you remember which firmware version you were on?

Those remotes are known to cause problems. Is it i a universal remote? I would actually be pretty surprised if it works at all.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do. Can you fire up the GUI, head to the FireTV window under controllers, and manually pair your buttons?

Yes although I limit the max weight so not much more than a couple is ordered. Keep in mind shipping out of the country usps takes anywhere from 3-8 weeks.

If it's a universal remote, what device is currently programed to be paired with filrc? My recommendation is just switching the device on the remote. If you find out what it is now, let me know, it will help me. But that's usually pretty hard to find out.

not quite 600ms, but yes. Can I recommend getting one of the harmony line remotes? They are good for exactly this reason, they don't allow accidental pushes and insert delays for 100% consistency. They come in 30 dollar models.
