Not sure why everyone is having trouble. Version 3.5 is virtually the same as 3.1. Can you try formatting, and starting over? What do you mean it's not working? Can you describe? Do you press buttons, and nothing happens? or is it not working correctly? Are you able to pair keys with the GUI but they don't work? Can you make sure the GUI is closed when in use?

You should change your interkey_delay settings in the gui to 5 or 6, that should help the repeat I'm not sure what you mean zoomin/zoomout? You referring to Kodi? How are you doing your standby? Did you map a specific key?

I'm sorry you're frustrated. When you clear the configuration, did you see any better results? How about the 3.1 firmware units you have, how are they behaving? Today or tomorrow, I'm removing all the firetv threads and starting over. First things first, use the firetv profile in the harmony software. Mediacenter PC - Flirc - FireTV Let me know if that helps.

It is. For the harmony guys, I will put together some formal documentation shortly. But yes, it's firetv. Every operating system has a 'key repeat' and firetv is set way to short. While it appears as 'double presses' it is actually the start of a stream of characters. Think regular computer, you press a keyboard key and hold, and after a set time, the stream starts. The stream is starting on the firetv, and you only get the first key of the stream, and the original key, making you think it's two presses. I sent them a note, I don't think I can fix this in my device. One thing you can try is enabling the noise filter, which waits for multiple button hits before sending the command. For the harmony, delete, re-add firetv, and try again. They updated their settings recently.

Any chance you can catch the bootloader version?

I don't have a raspberry pi 2 yet, and right now, it's safe to say that the xbmc repo for the new pi is not supported yet. Mine should arrive soon. You can pair it on another machine and use it on the pi without any issue.

Yeah, if you can't wait until this weekend, I'll accept a return, I'm sorry. I'm just one person and I couldn't begin to describe the amount on my plate. If you can clear your config, disable 'built in profiles' and record the one key which you think ends up being something different. Post your config after that, and let me take a look.

I understand the problem, and I need to see how windows remotes are working. Please give me until around sunday, I will work on it over the weekend. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience. I've bought 3 windows media center remotes, none of them work. I'll make some trips to the electronics store and grab other computers. Once I do that, it shouldn't take me more than the day to figure it out, and implement a fix.

that's the one I'm using. The USB device does not enumerate. I will try different PC's later this week when I have time.

make sure, can you do flirc_util format? What's the random key that gets repeated?

Are you on version 3.5 of the firmware? Are you using the built in profile, or did you record the keymappings?

flirc_util has a bug, I don't show some keys (the ones with modifiers). The 'Error' status, it's also erroneous. Your best bet, is to save your config after you're set up, and the save your config after it's broken. And then show me both. Try disabling 'sequence key' modifiers in the advanced section of the gui. If it was already disabled, try it enabled.

glad it's working, I'll get the bum unit replaced. Please keep me in the loop and try and see if you can come up with the reason why it doesn't 'feel' the same. I really want to solve that. Thanks for the help and patience.

No apology necessary, and I apologize greatly for any frustration or confusion. My product is supposed to take any of that away, so I feel at a great loss when someone gets stuck or struggles. So do you think it was the options in the advanced configuration? Any chance you can tell us what that is? (may help others) perhaps, 'sequence modifiers' was selected, and that can definitely cause problems. Thank you for following up.
