Thanks for the feedback. This solution does work. But I have to say that it is not a very elegant one.
The new flirc doesn't use drivers. One of the best features of the device.
This problem was by far the largest support isue with the first generation. -
Do you have the new model? It uses no drivers.
okay, I just saw that you said you use the old flirc. Give this a shot: https://support.flirc.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200712548-Using-the-ZADIG-Utility

I have just tried 2.0.4 but with the same result, unfortunately. Full system freeze during the driver install. The driver does not install correctly (warning in the device manager) and the FLIRC software is not able to connect to the device.

Thanks for the answer, jason! But the most important thing - there is no way to know which keys are already programmed :( I hope it will be in the near updating, because without this meaning the device is lost ...
v2.0.4 has been posted which will allow you to load a configuration from a v1 device on a v2 device. Also, added is the ability to show saved and recorded keys. Let me know if you have any issues.

I have the same problem as Nismonx with a clean install of win 10 x64 enterprise. I used the v2.0.2 installer (with the 'old' FLIRC).
Edit 31-12-2016
Please give a response as I can not use the remote on my HTPC.
Was fixed in v2.0.3, I just posted v2.0.4 which allows you to load a config from an older generation device to a new device. Please let me know if you are having problems. I haven't heard a complaint with v2.0.3 yet.

Has the issue been resolved? and do we REALLY need the newest version of the software for the oldest version of the FLIRC? :)
Yeah, was fixed a couple weeks ago
-
Which version of flirc do you have?
-
This is the problem.
Is there a way to get the Comcast remotes to work with flirc?
Not right now, I will be improving the algorithm on the second generation, but I have about 5 other things on the list right now.
-
I understand. Something is up with the comcast profile you chose. Flirc doesn't like it and I'll need to debug it. Pick another profile on your savant.
-
Just add another profile on the savant, panasonic or a samsung tv, and then map it to flirc to your liking.
Also, tell me the name of the model you were using on savant to try and pair with flirc. -
What firmware is the old one running?
Also, please link a pic to your remote or the model.
-
I'm having the same problem with a new flirc I just received. I have an old plastic one that works fine with the remote, but the new metal one is giving me the "Button already exists." message after it accepts the first command.
What firmware is the old one running?
-
yeah, configuration files are stored completely differently, it's coming.
-
The new device has no advanced configuration yet. These will be added soon. What you are seeing looks good to me. Hang in there. I've had to split time between getting orders out and spending time with my family.
1. Sleep detection
- Done, needs to be vetted before pushed
2. Noise Canceler
- Not going to be added, algorithm will be improved until this feature is obsolete
3. Interkey delay
- Not going to be used, this device uses different techniques that weren't possible on the original
4. Seq Modifiers
- This should already be working and implemented, just can't be disabled yet
The rest are setting information, and will be added.

Can we set up a team viewer session? v2.0.2 should have fixed this, can you confirm that's what you're using?
-
Okay, thanks for posting this, I appreciate it. I'll post an update soon. I think I know what's wrong.
Older versions of software can't speak to newer versions of hardware, it's expected that v1.4.4 doesn't work.
-
If you have a harmony, there are some existing devices already that you can add to your harmony, and flirc support is built in for these devices. Right now, there is a kodi, and a firetv device.
I'll be reaching out to them shortly to add some more.-

Okay, I posted another update which fixed another crashing issue. We're on v2.0.2 right now. This was with older generation devices.
-
I'm working on this issue. Top priority.
-
Thanks for the kind feedback, makes all the hard work worth it.
https://support.flirc.tv/hc/en-us/articles/203167509-Setting-up-Flirc-with-PS4
It's supported, just a bit of a manual process. I'll be getting this into the GUI shortly. Let us know if you need help with any of that.
-
Can you post a link to that remote you are using?
-
Here is a copy of v1.4.4: https://flirc.tv/software/release/gui/windows/Flirc.v1.4.4.exe
I'm still working on a fix.

When you pair your remote make sure you aim your remote away from the device this can happen if it's too close.
Adding support for Nvidia Shield TV
in General Questions
Posted
Hey Guys, support is being rolled in, but I'm trying to get in a bunch of other things into the release.
Connected with my friends at NVIDIA, it's the same as the firetv remote. So if you pair those keys, you should be good until we need to figure out any misc buttons (kodi)
