  1. I've installed firmware 3.8, have Flirc v1.4.4 and Windows 7. When I try to record the "home" button my browser launches, but the GUI moves on to the next key, so it seems all might be good. But when I test by pressing the home key on my IR remote it makes the FireTV bring up the "Your Apps Menu". Huhh?

I would go to file->clear configuration and start over. Let me know if that helps.

Yes, certain buttons will register with your main OS after recording, that's typical if you're still holding the button after recording.

  2. Evening Jason, sorry, I did mean to mention I had done that after reading your response to another question about Harmony remotes.

It appears the Harmony device profile I am using (FLIRC >  Fire TV) has duplicate keys for "Down" and "Info" (From viewing the profile in MyHarmony), there is another profile (FLIRC > XBMC) that has the correct "Info" key but that doesn't have the Home button in there for Fire TV.

I could add both devices to my activity and choose the relevant buttons from both device profiles but that isn't ideal.

Could I also please ask, how many post do I need to make before I am allowed to view the attachments in the first post of this thread?

I'm going to get in touch with amazon, give me a day, I'll issue an update.

  3. In the harmony software, under the flirc manufacturer, add the kodi device. Those keys are mostly the same and any that's not, you can record over. There are tons of keys there so you can associate them to your liking.

Or, you can simply add another device in the harmony, and in that activity, assign the keys to the new remote for the play/stop/pause.

Let me know if that makes sense.

  4. I don't think you paired the keybaord with flirc. The user interface is going to show you all keyboard presses, regardless if it's coming from flirc, or from your physically attached keyboard, or your wireless keyboard.

What you are seeing is the keys from the wireless keyboard, but that wont pair with flirc. That's probably bluetooth. Flirc is used to pair with an infrared remote.

    Does that make sense?

  5. Just confused because you said one profile was working and one was not, and they are both the same.

Yes, I think this is probably the profile you are selecting. Try a general TV profile as yawor suggested.
